Official images of CMF series 29 have dropped, meaning high res pics of the new sitting cat, fish skeleton, and clownfish and recolored unicorn foal and baby dragon.

The most interesting thing I can see is that the clownfish doesn’t seem to have an incorporated antistud – instead it looks like it has a hole for a 3.2 shaft, and the CMF box includes one of the transparent ‘nipple’ pieces that it can be put on (as well as a second one for the scuba fin wearing minifigure the clownfish comes with).

It’s definitely a take I haven’t seen before with an animal, but it makes sense – a proper built in antistud would mess with the shape of a relatively small fish, and it’s not like anyone will ever want to have a free swimming fish directly attached to a baseplate anyway.

Interesting but understandable how they’ve designed the clownfish. This means that it now can attach to one of the OG ‘seagrass’ seaweed parts in a way that the original fish never could, and will be better for display.

Cat and unicorn look good. Trans horn is an odd choice, but whatever. Slight shame that there’s no printed (chocolate) eyes on the small dragon - but will be useful as a statue or architecture detail.

Fish skeleton looks great, and hope this becomes an easily available part going forward.

Could it be a new horn piece for that unicorn as rubbery horn is too big to fit into Creator 3n1 unicorn’s forehead hole?

Not completely new but yes—it's the smaller unicorn horn accessory from last year's Friends sets, which has a smaller accessory pin instead of a regula bar attachment. This one is not rubbery and does come in transparent colors.

Ah. I didn't get the unicorn castle after seeing just how small it was. Makes sense that the horn is not rubbery.

Does anyone else think the cat looks pretty dog-like?

There’s *something* about the cat … maybe it’s just that it’s not a very obvious or common colour way

The „wild west“ Toy Story set comes with a black pig and a new lavender foal :classic: And Bullseye‘s back!

Wait, I thought that one was an April Fool's set. Doesn't feel real to have so much in one set 🙄

The colourful foals is definitely a sub-theme designed to get people collecting

Black pig looks nice. I’m surprised we hadn’t had one before, or indeed a belted one., or a ‘ginger’ one …

Quite an odd Toy Story set  - not least with the mix of animal themes and styles. Interesting that the sheep originated in a Disney set, and now we have another Disney set delivering a pig variant and ‘pony’ variants.

Hope the black pig shows up in a regular set or somehow on PAB, it would be nice for some variation in my pigs.

Same here, and I am waiting for fair to come in new colors like brown or white with black spots.

My grandfather had a pig farm and we had a lot of pigs.  Even had a white with black spots one.

Very nice, yeah. I know black pig does exist. Its flaws nice to ahve some pigs in a few natural colors. I’m not totally into lavender foal from “Wild West” Tory Story set.

And my great grandpa used to have a small peacock coop on his farm ground and no one believes me. I need a peacock to pay tribute to my great grandmas.

Nice.  I knew someone when I was younger that had a peacock.  My Grandpa also had a chicken coop.  Good times back then.

I will wait until I get it confirmed today, since I do not trust anything April 1:sceptic:

These 4+ farm sets have turned out to be the safest ways to get new animals, however I agree there is a hodgepodge of animals in the set that seem strange. The foals are the most odd ones, if they been swapped out with normal colour or other farm animals it would not look so strange.

If the set is real it is great to get the black pig (I love the foal moulds, but since they always have some strange colours lately I have not much use for them unfortunately).
I am not complaining and with the lack of animals, this is nice surprise however if it was a more "normal" farm we could have gotten even more:

 10775.png

1 new sheep and 3 other animals (2 normal and 1 rare/bigger one)
60346.png

3 new animals+ the sheepskin and 8 in total + 1 butterfly (4 new, 1 new colour in a rare/big one and 3 rare ones)

Bullseye will of course use one spot here, but with 3 farm animals left we could have gotten more out of it (on the other and 3 MLP would be a complete miss).

Would be best if is shows up in more sets yes and at a decent price on PAB, but then we need luck:shrug_oh_well:

It‘s real! It got accidentally revealed through the lifestyle images of the Slinky Dog set. On one pic, a woman is building the Slinky set while a girl builds the 4+ set right next to her :snicker:

Off-topic, but I like the little visual gag in the City set above, of the guy going to shear the sheep while he himself has an overgrown beard and hair.

On the designer reveal/interview video for the CMF29 they talked about the chocolate dragon and that they debated what animal to use. The other example used was a swan, which was rejected as people wouldn't want a brown swan in their city. It's interesting that they considered a new animal and a swan specifically. I wonder if we might get a swan in future?

I’d have thought a chocolate bunny was an obvious choice.

Of all the themes though Toy Story is the most likely to yield this sort of set - given that it’s based on characters who are toys and live in a world populated by other toys. So it’s perfectly reasonable for some kids’ ‘farm’ to include the central characters, plus a my little pony or two, and a pig figurine.

From the pics we have I think I can make out some printed spots on the pig’s side, btw, which I assume are white or light grey.

Agreed. But just the idea that they mentioned a swan. And that we could have a proper water bird (not a rubber ducky).

Some more animals to add life to cityscapes would definitely be appreciated – and swans are often seen in parks with lake features because of their history. They also have a decent amount of representation in fairy tales and thus are useful for Castle fans.

Chocolate rabbits are ubiquitous with Easter to the point that everyone in the western world has seen armies of mass produced ones lined up on shelves on a yearly basis. In contrast, a swan sculpted out of ephemeral material is basically the go-to for any piece of media to signal you’re at a super fancy party. The dragon that the designers settled on using is not just a nearly unused mold, but also something that would be technically complex to make out of chocolate – which was almost certainly a point of consideration since to character is probably at least partially inspired by Amaury Guichon (aka ‘the Chocolate Guy’). TLDR – this is a gourmet Chocolatier and the general public is too familiar with chocolate bunnies to perceive them as gourmet and handmade.

Chocolate bunnies are not always brown. Some of them come with pink or light blue details.

The release date of the series is another likely factor against making a chocolate bunny. May 1 is kind of the worst possible date to debut an Easter-specific piece. Q1 would be ideal for planning Easter scenes for the current year, the back half of the year is more or less neutral, but just a couple weeks to a month after Easter? That's exactly when no one wants to be thinking about Easter at all. We're done, the RL candy is all eaten up and the spring decorations are put away so we can move along to summer.

Had not thought about that, so basically they are MLP
