Lego Indy: a further six set release

Recommended Posts

I remember reading an article (that I can't find right now :sceptic: ) that listed all the upcoming summer 2009 sets plus also stated that there would be "a further six set release from all 4 movies" I was just wondering if this was just a mistake or is there really another set coming out this summer to go along with the other 5 sets being released. I know a few of you know people from TLC  have they said anything? What set do you think it's going to be? what set do you want it to be? what set would make sense to go along with the other sets? Maybe a KOTCS set that way we would get 2 sets from each movie in 2009 and do the same thing next year and so on  ? Please, just not one of those small $3 set  (forgot what they're called). Even some more mine track to add on would be nice, or perhaps more track and other pieces of the temple and mine to connect to create a more accurate vesion of the entire temple of doom  ? so many possiblilites, I really want a rope bridge, or marions bar, or even the warehouse (KOTCS). So many possibilities, but only one set :sing: . Summer better come fast! :look:

It will probably be an exclusive set like Peril in Peru was last year

I'm hoping for the Tank from The Last Crusade  , But I've got a VERY good feeling that it will be Mutt's motorcycle chase from KOTCS :sceptic:

it more than likely will be an exclusive set. Just out of curiosity what makes you think it will be mutts motorcycle chase? not to be rude, I was just wondering. I would love a motorcycle chase set and well it does make sense with them making the motorcycle for cemetery battle and the perfect torso for indy in Venice canal chase, I guess it does make sense.

The tank would be perfect for my Nazi army!:wub: I have the gas truck, convoy truck, attack jeep, both bikes, and all of the soilders with this torso.

The submarine from Radiers would provide my army a water vechicle!

Well, I heard a rumor about a set called "Mutt Chase" a little while ago, and, seeing that lego already had those molds and pieces in production that you mentioned, they wouldn't even have to make any new pieces for this set. It makes the most sense. The 'bad guys' could even just be the gangsters from the shang-hi chase, just with different faces.

that's true. I also saw the same thing but it may have been talking about the cemetery batte, I remember it saying "mutt chase/chauchilla cemetery battle" but I hope not. The suits would have to be changed and it would be nice if grey fedoras were used. One KGB guy was wearing a black suit and white shirt and black tie and one was wearing a blck suit with a brown vest :sceptic: and a tie (I just watched the movie earlier today  ). But it you just put indy in the same torso he has in venice chase, add brown legs, and a grey wig then you have a perfect indy and add balck hands to mutt and you have a perfect Mutt.

The tank would be perfect for my Nazi army!:wub: I have the gas truck, convoy truck, attack jeep, both bikes, and all of the soilders with this torso.

The tank probably won't happen until 2010, but who am I to tell?

I'm sorry to say this guys, but I actually hope it isn't anything special. For one, I could use not spending more money, and for two, I'd rather be able to buy a set without a 30 dollar shipping fee. And no way should it be the tank, that sucker has go to be a mainstream release!

Batbrick Away!

I agree, as much as I want a tank I would rather wait until the next release.

Well if their will be a sixth set, I hope it will be the temple/cave place at the end of Indiana jones and the last crucade. It could be good as long as it dosnt end up being a little like the boulder chase thing.

P.S. I havn't watched the films or been bothered to look at the old sets, so forgive my unnaming of places andd my need to use the word "thing".

I did hear about the Mutt Motorcycle Chase that was rumored / leaked, and with the other sets that were rumored / leaked with it all having proven true, I'm inclined to think the Motorcycle Chase (from KotCS, as opposed to the one from LC, already depicted in the launch wave) will indeed be the vendor exclusive, but we'll just have to see.

The possibility I think I'm dreaming for most isn't a large retailer exclusive, actually, but rather a second small exclusive set for Brickmaster subscribers, like set 20004 ("Indy's Jungle Cruiser," I believe) from last year. There's actually something very specific I'd like to see done as a Brickmaster set, and it would be a perfect complement to one of the sets being released later this year, though it could also be offered later at some point. I'm not sure I want to say what it is, just in case of the extremely remote possibility TLC is actually considering doing it but doesn't want to see any public "suggestions / requests" for it for legal reasons. :sceptic:

a large set such as the grail temple or circus train really seem unlikly to be released This Year I'm sure those sets will be released later but I'm expecting a large set (which is what those would be) to go aling with everything else. The temple of doom is supposed to be the big set in this release.

Blondie-Wan- Is the brickmaster exclusive you're thinking of a certain car from a cerain scene in the last crusade? It would compliment the fighter plane attack set quite nicely. Just relply yes or no.

Some I would love are:

Radiers Sub

Temple of Doom Club Obi-Wan

Last Crusade Circus Train

Last Crusade Grail Temple

Last Crusade Tank

Last Crusade Car

Crystal Skull Diner

Crystal Skull Hangar 51

Crystal Skull Motorcycle Chase

Crystal Skull Doom Town

I was just thinking. Maybe the set could be based off the newindiana joens video game: indiana jones and the staff of kings? They could make an elephant chase set. Like in the pics below.

They could use an elephant and a car with indy on the elphant and some badies in the car. For about $30 as an exclusive set.

You are throwing the Jedinews LEGO-Indy news together. In the first news, they spoke from the two spring sets "Shanghai Chase" and "Flying wing" and 5 more sets in summer. Later they released an article with 4 summer set, which were:

Graveyard (from KOTCS)

Venice Chase (from TLC)

Air Battle (from TLC)

The Temple of Doom (from TOD)

And the missing set is the Cairo marketplace.

I don´t believe in further Indy sets this year, except for the 5 we know and a set based on the game could be possible in spring 2010. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was supposed to come out in summer 2007 and they released the Rogue Shadow in Spring 2008, half a year after release of the game. Maybe it will be the same schedule with the Indy game.

No. That'd be a nice vehicle to have, but I think a minifig scale version of that car would be a bit larger than a Brickmaster set usually is. The potential set I was thinking of would be quite small, and it's from a different movie altogether.

I doubt they'll go so far as to do any sets from Indy adventures outside the movies, but I'd love to see it happen. My personal first choices would be from The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, actually, but I'd also love to see sets from the novels, comics and games. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis would make some great sets, I'm sure...

Howabout a market stall with a cairo thug to go with the ambush in cairo set? or even a monkey man and motorcylce? these both could make great brickmaster sets. If I'm wrong at least tell me what set it would make such a great addition to. :pir-wink:

Heh. :classic:

Ok. The potential Brickmaster set I was thinking of would be a great companion piece for Temple of Doom (as well as a nice set in and of itself).

Er...

Well, yeah, actually; that's almost it, exactly (to be specific, I was thinking about a mine cart with perhaps up to two Thuggee minifigs, plus a short section of track - perhaps a bit much for a BM set, but perhaps not, since the mine car itself wouldn't actually have many pieces to it). I guess I shouldn't have said anything...

Yes! , I finally got it right  . Maybe if lego does read this they will want to make it even more knowing that people would want it!
