Custom milling machine

Recommended Posts

I saw this post on Engadget, and thought it could be useful for those people who want to build their own custom bricks, and are not too picky about everything being 100% pure Lego developed. (not a clone brand).

Im sure it could be useful for those missing Musical Instruments for the christmas fayre

The Arduino guys have them (uhm, used to have them some weeks ago)

it is nice for making prototypes e.g. but I think a RepRap is also nice for customization.

A CNC mill takes away materials (so input is a large solid block of e.g. ABS), a 3D printer makes more practical use for LEGO modifiers I think since it can print materials.

B.t.w. it is not really a 'digital tool' is it?!

No... but where-else could the idea live? And besides, it is closely related to the digital tools. :sweet:

The rest of EB must consider this section more interesting and than come here to read!

Jokes apart, I agree with Superkalle: the device is strongly related with LEGO cad software, so I think this is the right section.
