GBC Wave Machine

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to think of new modules for the GBC and cam eup with this. A web search for 'lego wave' didn't come up with any, but neXTSTORM did give me the idea for a mechanism to use. Sorry if this GBC device been done and seen before!

Hi quilkin,

Very nice construction! The exposed crankshaft at bottom looks very good, I would say a it gives the MOC a bit of "steampunk". The colors are also good and clean!

It is always nice to see new ideas for the GBC!

It's not quite a metachronal rhythm, but it is really cool to watch.

Wow! That's awesome! When I went to the Brickfair this past year I was able to see some of the GBC contraptions and this has to be one of the cooler ones I've seen.

Yeah. I agree.. Its gives the machine a nice appearance because not only do you have the wave motion but you have the spiral one too!

Thanks for all the positive comments, guys

Well then I'll have to make a metachronal wave machine my next design - trying to make each 'frond' push the ball sideways as it passes over should be quite a challenge......

very nice. I love the exposed mechanism and I'd love to see the rest of the setup as well.
