Where to post

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering - there seems to be quite a lot of topic moving going on and maybe it would be great to have sroted out where to post. As far as I can see the issue mostly concerns MOCs.

Are we (the EB users) supposed to post a castle MOC in the castle section? or does it go in the Your Own Creation section? Sometimes topics are moved from one section to the YOC section, but sometimes it also goes the other way. Can we please have a general statement on this.

Not that it's super important - I'm just a little neurotic on such things :'-(

PS And if we are to post MOCs in the themed sections why do we have the Your Own Creation part of the forum?

He have it because some MOCs can't fit into any particular forum. First of all, it is ok to post your moc in the MOC section : that's the right choice if you don't know exactly where to post your MOC.

Actually, posting MOCs in themes sections is mainly ok for pirates MOCs and Castle MOCs because they can receive more replies there.

may i suggest to get rid of "The past special month" forum all together?

1) i don't really see the point of the forum. i don't understand what it's supposed to do

2) it's not active at all. the last and only topic was closed by yoda a month ago

3) it only makes the forum more complicated

I second that. It's a completely useless forum. At least until we get another special month.

If you select at the bottom of the category page the option to show all topics from the beginning (instead of the last 30 days) there will show up many, many threads!

Actually I don't think we want to loose all our old threads, or am I wrong with this?

well, usually, if you just click on the forum title, you get all the recent topics. if you do that with "past special", you don't get anything. Sure, people may have posted there in the past, however, they obviously haven't done that in a very very long time... there is one topic in it, as far as i can tell: "My true family returns", which is basically a MOC and could have easily been posted in another section of EB. i'd say that makes it rather unnesseccairy...

i'm also not sure if people ever posted there. Perhaps several topics moved to that forum when this EB-structure was created... in any case, no one seems to feel the need to post there any more... that's all...

Actually this is the forum where all the threads from the special months like the Potter Month went to.

This forum is not supposed to be an active one but it's meant to be an archieve for the threads of the post special months.

Hope that cleared things up.

Just wondering, but if it's supposed to be an archive, why is there only one topic? There certainly were more topics in the past special months...

Now all topics should show up! And it's a read-only archieve!

Everything cleared up?

hm... what would be the use of this?

We don't have to delete the topics we made? :-/

Otherwise we could set the whole board to delete every topic in every forum after 30 days of no replies?! X-O Would be kinda the same, right?
