Hi Guys, Longtime lurker, first time poster! I have seen an old topic here that describes a method of adding a fast on/off roof switch to the Horizon Express. Only issue is, the images in that post are no longer working, so I'm a bit stuck. I got the set for Christmas last year (Came back to Lego train too late for the release! Expensive!) and am keen to modify it so my 3 year old can turn it on and off easier. He loves playing with the Lego trains in the attic but he does struggle a bit with the 10233 roof to access the power button. Any advice at all, or those original images, would be very much appreciated! Kind regards and many thanks!

Hi Everyone, I am struggling to get the best out of the tables surface in terms of layout... and I am not very happy with this one, any ideas that could make it a bit more attractive??? The prerequistes are, the Town Hall should stand alone, the train is a must, water not (at least not yet). Actually I had layouts on smaller surfaces that looked more realistic, more dynamic, i.e the modulars created the impression of a bigger city, maybe because there were more "angles", more streets crossing each other.. Anyhow, thank you for your feedback and advises! photo (14) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (23) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (18) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (20) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (21) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (27) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (28) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr photo (25) par SwissBrick, sur Flickr Any ideas welcome, will post some updates if modifications are made following your advises, thanks again!

Hi all, i got a Horizon Express-10233 as a present recently, and i would like to know more about the power functions as rather new to this. Is it necessary for me to get, 8878-1: Rechargeable Battery Box and 8887-1: Transformer 10V DC. Or is there a way that i can DIY my own rechargable battery box, as the one sold my Lego is expensive, and the transformer looks like any ordinary charger, i believe i can get one outside at a reasonable price as compared to the one sold by Lego. Would be glad if someone could help me with my queries. Many thanks!

Hello everyone, a spot has just opened up on my layout for one more lego train. I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best, and i already have the 7939 yellow cargo train, 7938 red passenger train, horizon express, hogwarts express that is motorized with power functions, one extra set of power functions and 2 4.5 volt trains from the blue track era. I was thinking in the maersk or emerald night but they are both expensive so i can only really get 1 with my budget for lego trains. So please give your feedback and thank you in advance:)

Hello lego train enthusiasts, I finally got the Horizon Express. The reason is that I was born in france and the TGV is my favorite of all time so far and would like to know when it will be discontinued because on lego.com it says sold out. I also would like it if you could share some modifications that you put on your horizon express trains. Thx

Well, I took parts and ideas from several sets and built a transit center. Now my lego city residents have one downtown station for access to monorail to the airport, red passenger local trains and horizon express commuter trains. You enter the station through one entry point and then proceed to either purchase tickets or directly to one of three separate platforms via a sky bridge. The station also has a city bus stop and bicycle parking. I though it turned out nice. The set 60050 train station released this year has some nice parts. What do you think?
