  1. Previously: Recruiting at Marco's This Is Not the Wealthy Housing of Rassilon Falling Out with Foxx Cantu's Fort in Rassilon Freddy's Trained Chickens The Viper Jail Break! Cantu's House Even a Pirate Has a Sweet Tooth La Oleon Captain's Cabin Tropical Fruit Decision Lumber Camp Freddy's Big Haul The Golden Dragon The Capture of "El Polla" Swamp Raid Pirate Lagoon Palm Tree Inn Statues of Justice Sinbad had stayed on board during Li Fang's attack at Pirate Lagoon. He still didn't like the idea about killing Corries and Ollies in cold blood, but the two groups had been about to slaughter each other at the lagoon so what difference did it really make? Left to their own devices, one of the two parties would have killed the other and then turned their attention on the Sea Rats. The recent Pirate Purge had shown that to be true. Just because they didn't want to follow a tyrannical king or pay heavy taxes to an unfair trade company the Sea Rats were labeled villains and scallywags. Perhaps he didn't agree with Li's methods, but he couldn't argue with the results. There was much Sinbad still wasn't sure about. He didn't know if serving under Cho had been better than serving under Li. Both men commanded respect and under both men the crew had seen gold flowing into their pockets. But under Cho there had been no expression of their freedom from the chains of the ruling nations. In truth they had acted little different from one of the Empire's lackeys while under Cho. Under Li they at least showed the Empires that they were free men, free to earn their money the way they wanted to. But was slaughtering men in cold blood really the best way to do that? Sinbad had been lost in thought as he walked through the hold but when he heard voices he stopped. "Listen men, we can't keep following this joke of a captain" said the man in the hat. Sinbad recognized all four of the crew members, even in the dim light of the hold. It appeared not everyone shared his view that Li's results were good ones. "He keeps sending us on wild goose chases!" the ranting continued. "We need a captain who actually has a plan, not just one who's out for his own personal glory. What does his glory get us? Not more gold, at least not for us!" "I say we bide our time until his back is turned and we push him overboard!" said one of the other pirates. "Naw, everyone would know who did it. We gotta make it look like an accident" said another. "Then we're all agreed. We'll find a way to get rid of the captain. Then we can get rid of his runt, that Sinbad" finished the boss in the hat. Well that wasn't something Sinbad expected to hear. The crew thought of him as a stooge for Li? Sinbad thought he had become a respected member of the crew. Could it really be that they just feared him like they feared Li? And no matter how much he disagreed with Li's methods, he wasn't about to let a bunch of low-life scum take him out. He would have to think of something. And soon.
  2. Tuesday, early in the moring. The fire department recive a call of a yacht that's on fire. When the first engine arrives at the scene, the flames are coming out of the front. 2 Firefighters are getting a hose to fight the fire. 2 Other firefighters are looking for any victims. A second engine & a fire boat arrives at the scene to help. The boat is checking if nobody is in the water. The second engine helps with fighting the fire. The fire was under control in 20 minutes. The police is still investigating how the fire started. *Note: Maby some things in the text are not corrrect, English is not my main language The first engine just arrived. The fire boat is at the scene The fire is getting extinguished. The second engine just arrived. The fire is under control, 2 firefighters are checking. I hope you liked this MOC!

  4. The Imperial courier on Naboo was in a particularly dangerous situation. He must have picked up a few stowaways on the forest moon of Endor, because upon arriving on Naboo, countless furry space bears came pouring out of the cargo hold and into the eastern swamps. Once they took to the trees, the stormtroopers couldn't keep track of them and the best shots of their ranks couldn't find their targets. Normally, the Empire can overlook an illegal introduction of non-indigenous species, especially when they are at fault, but these creatures came from a planet the Empire wanted kept secret. The nosey bureaucrats of Naboo would certainly ask too many questions if this incursion was discovered. Ewoks on Naboo by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Despite their distrust and hatred of the Clawdite race, the Empire does recognize the exceptional marksmanship prevalent in their culture, and the ISB keeps a few contacts for situations like this. The bounty hunter marches the seven remaining creatures out of the swamps and into an awaiting cage. His payment will be in the form of slug-beetle larva, a "currency" the Empire can payout under the table because of their control over vast "preservation easements" throughout Naboo, and the bounty hunter can readily exchange these with the elite Gungans coopted by the Empire to keep the bottom dwellers in line. But there was something about the merchant crew that delivered the larva. The captain... the bounty hunter knew this face, but the local Imperial contingent obviously did not, or else there'd be only one man leaving this clearing alive...
  5. Ahoy mateys, I present you the new brig el Matador for Eslandola. She has 14 guns and is under the command of captain Pedro Cabral. The ship is build to escort the trade routes and I will license it as a class 4A as soon as I get enough money. First up a shot of the entire ship, I think the lines are quite nice and I really like the medium dark flesh colour! A bit closer The stern Detail on the bow A birds eye Detail of the masts and rigging Captain Cabral and some of Eslandola's finest The gun crews below deck work hard To deliver a full broadside I hope you like it, may she have good fortune in battle!
  6. "Tales from Another World" is perhaps one of the most famous fantasy-fiction series of novels ever written. In one of its stories, there is exists a nation known as Sparta, renowned for their military prowess, but also for their austerity and discipline. Named after this fabled military powerhouse, the HMS Sparta was commissioned as a warship in 588 AE, towards the end of the 49 years war. She saw her last action at "The Engagement of Pentagora Peninsular", during the final stages of the 49 year war. In one of the bloodiest sea battles every recorded, she famously held back a last ditch attempt to attack the Corrington mainland by a small Oleon fleet of 5 warships, all by herself. Captain Gerald L. Steward (545-590 AE, posthumously promoted to Vice-Admiral) led his men into a daring head-on clash with the Oleon fleet. HMS Sparta charged into the Oleon formation, firing full broadsides at close range, then proceeded to board Oleon ship, Le Tournesol, with the entire crew complement, led by Captain Steward himself. Shocked by the unconventional tactics, Le Tournesol was quickly overrun and commandeered, then directed to crash right into the side of another Oleon ship, C'est la Vie, which was then taken with yet another full boarding action. Oleon ships Amaranthe and Le Chat Noir attempted a pincer boarding manoeuvre to attempt to take back C'est la Vie. It seemed that all was lost for Captain Steward and his men, exhausted and worn down by attrition. But in a desperate but brilliant tactical move, Captain Steward ordered the powder stores of C'est la Vie to be set alight. The resultant explosion killed everyone on board the C'est la Vie, and set alight both the Amaranthe and Le Chat Noir, leading to a series of chain explosions when their respective powder stores ignited. The captain of the last Oleon ship, Le Bouffon, lost all morale after witnessing the scene of carnage, and exclaimed, "C'est de la folie!", before giving a hasty order to retreat. Nearly all the crew of the HMS Sparta was killed in action, yet she survived. The remaining skeleton crew managed to sail her back to port and her bloodiest battle would forever be part of legend. While heroes and legends are made in war, in times of peace, life goes on. After the war, she was converted into a supply ship, removing most of her cannons for cargo space. A quarter of a century later, with Commodore Anselm Whitegate in command, she still sails the Brick Seas, supporting the Empire's colonies by delivering precious supplies to the frontiers. This is HMS Sparta. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7. The last anyone else had heard of Jack Yharnam, her ship had got lost in the hurricane. Debris was found washed up on a nearby spit of land - quite by chance, actually, the crew were hunting for meat - but no trace of the captain herself. Everyone thought she had gone down with the ship... ...until she sailed into port one day in that monstrosity, the Mirthless Jest. Bigger than the Crow, more guns too. Gods only know where she found another crew for the thing. But there it was, bold as brass. I might just sneak in an MCRA results MOC before the end of the month but just in case I don't I figured I would post this up. I'll have to wait to license this, I don't have the DB for any kind of Class 3 ship and since this is bigger than the Crow I don't think I'll get away with calling this a Class 2. I'm still learning with BlueRender so I may add some shots of the details using the LDD's photo mode, but that will have to happen later.
  8. So I don't know what buttons I pressed but I can't get a good set of pictures of this using BlueRender, so he's the one good render. and some screenshots from the LDD that for some reason have no background. That was a surprise when I went to resize the image. The Night's Gold's sinister colours are a frequent site around Bastion and Haven. No one is quite sure how her Captain, Montgomery DuLac, manages to earn enough money to keep her afloat. It may relate to his good humour, easy going nature, ability to work with anyone and willingness to take any paying job. He even, occasionally, resorts to piracy - though he tends away from violence towards the prey's crew. After all, no point in needlessly raising a bounty on his head. Captain DuLac himself, making sure his ship is in good shape. He is not above hiring a few "less civilised sorts" as marines. Though some of them do not do much the rest of the time. I'm using my free license for the Night's Gold, classing her as a Class 2 Well Rounded.
  9. Grayther Drave pays many people to bring him exotic goods for his emporium in Bastion, but the Spiders may be his favourites. A team of expert treasure hunters, the Spiders take their name from the unusual little boat the sail around in; the Wight Spider. Some people claim the boat is not white enough for it's name. Drave tells them they misunderstand it. The Spiders - Talia, Gascoigne and Klaus - treat their vessel better than they treat anyone else, except, perhaps, Grayther Drave. The Wight Spider is a Class 1 Well Rounded vessel.
  10. HMS Sovereign did not have the illustrious war record of HMS Sparta, nor is she a match in terms of size, but is nonetheless a survivor of the 49 year war, with a respectable record of participation. Like many other surviving vessels, Sovereign was converted into a supply ship in times of peace. Now she sails with the Royal Navy Transport Fleet, assigned to the New World colony trade routes.
  11. According the King'sport advertiser the Raenette II participated in a big action against the Mardieran privateer L'Olius and succeeded in the capture of the Spotted Sparrow, a war brigantine. Here is what happened (according Felipe de la Manzana) : Captain's log entry, 29th of April 616 : "We started our route with a good escort lead by our friends of Corrington. The Company is in good term with Corries and we managed to open a MAESTRO branch in the Red country, so the escort is more than welcome, even if my new Ténotclaxcan crew member doesn't seem enchanted to encounter Corleanders." The situation became a bit strange when the escort had been separated from the merchants. Captain's log entry, 30th of April 616 : "I lost see on the escort, and we are some trading ships lost at the mercy of the simplest pirate ship that could attack us. I didn't understand what happened to the escort..." "Ah! I said we were lost, and it will probably... A Mardier fleet is in sight... They showed their colours ! it's a black and red flag ! Privateers ! A full fleet of Mardieran privateers... Probably L'Olius, the dreadful privateer that already attacked Eslandola ! Now I can guess what happened to our escort..." And the battle began. With an excellent anticipation, Felipe used the speed of the fast Raenette to pass behind the Spotted Sparrow, a full armed Brigantine, while the boardside fired but the Privateer vessel missed Felipe's. Then, using the Ténotclaxcans method of boarding, Felipe's crew engaged the Mardierans directly at the navigation deck and tryed to kill the captain and the navigator to stop the ship. And Felipe's crewmen finally killed the privateer captain and begin to become masters of the War Brigantine. The rest of the Mardieran crew surrendered or flew at sea. This is how Felipe de la Manzana won a War vessel. This ship, as a revenge on L'Olius Mardier Privateer fleet, had been re-named the Pinapple Revenge by Felipe and is joining MAESTRO's fleet as a class 3A war brigantine. More pictures with the new flags on her (Please Maxim, use this picture for the ship index) : Thank you for reading. The ship is totally built on a custom hull based on CMF's baseplates I placed to give the curve aspect of the hull. I took some time to have a better rigging than my last ships and even made some ratlines ! The sails are just paper sails as I will not be able to have better sails before the end of the month, but one should know I have a project to create quality custom cloth sails. So I will probably post some new pictures when I'll have them. As always, C&Cs are welcome !
  12. Lt.Wolf was able to pull some strings: The contract for transporting the Queen´s Rifles to the colonies was awarded to member of his family: Captain Burt Wolfson and his small cog Eliza. Captain Wolfson is talking with Lt.Wolf on the forecastle. Midships, Rifleman Henderson has problems with seasickness. Licensed as a 1T. This is my third freebuild this month,if you like it please approve!
  13. This is my third freebuild this month, so if you like the ship don't hesitate to approve, thank you ! "La Raenette" Felipe de la Manzana, after his wreckage, had to join Terelli where he could bought a new ship. Once in the Capital port, he managed to hire some new crewmen and found an ancient Oleon designed fast cutter for sell. He bought her and after few repairs and new sails, the ship was ready ! She was renamed "La Raenette", in homage to her Oleander origins. Felipe set rapidly sails to Berelli to join his friend Basil and to know if his diplomatic efforts had been succeed. She is a fast cutter, rapid and easily manned, but she is not very well armed. Just an old 12pounder gun is light for self defense, but with an escort, it will not be a problem. Here are the official soldiers on board making some training : Here is a seagul view : So Felipe is back for new adventures (the continuing of the one he already began...) Hope you like it. The ship is licensed as my new free license ship. It is a 1 gun cutter, it is a Class 2 F vessel. I tryed a totally new approach for this build as I go for a brickbuilt hull and a more advanced rigging than for the appleseed. I know it's not perfect but I am quite happy how it turned out. Btw, I've re-made the rigging of the poor appleseed when I built her sunk. You can see her new aspect on my flickr. Comment and criticism are welcome. Thank you !
  14. Looking out his window, Lord Maximilian Damaximus saw the "Margot" in front of the bay of Stedor. Fully equiped with 55 guns. Although they still are working on the rigging, he couldn't wait until she was seaworthy. He sighed, last month trade run was terrible. The "Knight of Stedor" had to return to it's first port, the "Appleseed" sunk and the "Sulky Harlequin" made only 98 db's profit (divided by 10 shareholders, that was almost nothing). If he ever wanted to get a licence for "Margot", it would take ages at the current revenues. Although the "Sulky Harlequin" made a terrible run, the way CSC licenced her was an example of innovation. And Maximilian was sure the odds will change the upcomming trade run! Time to do some business with the Corringtonlalanders. At the Stedorian Quays, the "Purple Rain" was packing some tradegoods. A decent fast and well-armed ship, ready to rock'n roll! -------------------------------- Captain Matt Lenoir was looking over the stern to Stedor. His new ship the "Purple Rain" just set sail to Terelli. He loved Stedor, the white harbor, the vibrant atmosphere, the dangerously looking fortress and especially the Governal Palace on the mountain, watching over the Bay. He looked to the Licence in his hands and smiled. Finally he had a decent ship under his command! Lord Maximilian Damaximus gave him even 2 Elite Guards to protect the ship. And as it is a joint-venture with some Corrington investors, two Corrington soldiers are on board as well. Even an important Corrington scientist has aboarded to join the journey! => the Corrington Scientist => Some of the cargo (there are some of the finest Felipe de la Manzana's apples in the cargo as well, but they can't be seen in this picture) => Captian Matt Lenoir ---------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching!!! the "Purple rain" is a 8-gun Xebec, which will be licenced as a Class 4 T2. C&C ofcourse welcome!! Here is the list of shareholders: The terms of the shareholders (Thanks to Bregir!) Can the shareholders please confirm they transferred the 45 db's to my account? (transaction form)
  15. On the journey back from the new island, Micah and his crew put the "Flying Colt" in at New Terrelli. While in port, they saw a beautiful cutter that had for sale flyers posted. The partners convened together and decided to use some of the gold they had discovered to purchase this vessel. It would raise less questions to spend the money as merchants in Eslandola then back in Arlinsport. They sent the "Flying Colt" on without them on a trade mission under the escort of the Eslandolan "Queen of Terelli". Unbeknownst to them, the "Flying Colt" was almost seized by privateers. However, the "Queen of Terelli" rescued them. After spending a week repainting and fitting the cutter, Micah and the partners set off with a few new sailors back to Arlinsport. The ship was rechristened the "Alexander" after Micah's father whose business and protection they were sailing under. The "Alexander" proved to be a fast vessel and got them to Arlinsport in superb time. This is my third free build this month so please let me know if you approve. Maxim, I am licencing this cutter to Micah (Silent Wolf) as a 2F. Previous builds: Intro: Silent Wolf FB: "Flying Colt" Ch1 CatA: Ahoy, Fishermen! FB: Back at the Ranch... Today he sails for the world with a cargo of Rum and nails. His first mate Vasco keeps an eye out for sea rats from the bow. My first ship, which was a challenge. C&C welcome! LDD doesn't have sails. Should've used Mecabricks for this one.

  19. Jan 31st, 615 AE Parakeet, At Sea Dear Brother, Yesterday the Parakeet sprung a leak. We were obliged to beach her in a convenient, protected cove. With her hove down and the cargo landed, we were able to come at the hole and affect a temporary repair. We took the opportunity to careen her as we also found a fair amount of weed. I begin to understand why Old Bill was so willing to wager her in last month's game of piquet. She is very fast, but she is old, and frankly many of her planks need replacing. That said, once we've made a few improvements, I believe she will prove an ideal vessel for our new business. Your Humble Servant, Richard Walton, Esq Here are a couple of extra pictures for anyone curious about her devilish construction. She is intended to be a two masted lugger. The three masted lugger was the preferred rig of English Channel smugglers, but I thought that would be far too big for a Class 2F, so I went with a two-master.
  20. My first ship MOC. she has one large central cannon, two cannon ports towards the aft - with (currently) one smaller cannon and one more signal, close quarters cannon all the way astern. the cabin has a cot and a table with a map, bottle, and a light fixture. If anyone has an idea about the class of this ship... I would like to register it, but not sure as what class exactly, thank you
  21. It had been about half a year since that fateful day when young Sebastion Clifton had acquired the Saucy Jack from the one and only Lord Pennington, Exchequer of Corrington. The Exchequer had seemingly spontaneously given young Sebastion a man of only 25 his very own ship with a fully payed license, with free rights to rename the vessel and enough money to fund a temporary crew. This transaction is one of the great mysteries of modern Corrington, how a minor noble barely able to get an audience with a government official managed to convince Pennington a well-known tight wad to give him a ship. DSC00419 by Paul Vogel, on Flickr THe rumors are abound as to exactly how Sebastion did it, some say Sebastion beat it out of him, others say he's a bastard son. When asked Sebastion will just say "Pennington has a thing for 'clean' rooms." and leave it at that.
  22. Upon this glorious day of her Majesty the Queen, the HMS Green Dragon has sailed out of port in Arlinsport, and has taken to the wide oceans in search of new lands and civilisations. The small but agile cutter, commandeered by Sir Thomas Smaugton, will travel first to pick up some researchers, before heading out and following a lead to some mysterious island, of which nothing more can be said for now, but expecting arrival at destination within two days. The Green Dragon was selected for this as it sacrifices armament, consisting of two single swivel guns and a minimal Marine detachment, and cargo capacity. This makes it highly suitable for transportation of highly ranked persons of intrest, as they are mostly outfitted to outrun rather then engage opposing ships of malicious intent.
  23. This is my attempt at building the end of the Appleseed, LAS during the January MRCA. I don't know how the rule is for this kind of build. Is it also a Freebuild ? And do I have to fill a WebForm ? The end of the Appleseed : Captain Log entry, Day 29 : This was a lovely day at Terreli when we began to load new young appletrees and some good iron weapons from our Capital in order to help to develop the colonies in Nellisa and Berelli. The loading was very effective and we were ready before our escort, the Queen of Terreli, arrived at the bay. Day 30 : The start of our run has been delayed because some of the vessels supposed to join us during the run were not registered ! Ah ! Bl...y administration ! Day 31 : We are well escorted ! The Queen of Terreli fought dangerous smugglers this morning. For what I saw with my spyglass it was a hard fight ! Hopefully the eslandolan warship is not too badly injured. In the afternoon, Juan de Hespérida asked me to make a little detour from our escorted run because he is saying we are near a possible position of the Island of the No-one Orchard, where we could find the Golden Apple ! Since I don't really understand the thing why an island have différent positions or how an island could be here and there I agreed to search a bit around the area Juan had indicated. This is possibly the last line I will write in ths book ! We have been hit by below along the starboard lowdeck ! There is an enormous leak ! I don't know if we can reach the coast... I was sure it wasn't a reef ! There are no reefs around ! Some of the crewmen thought have seen an enormous shadow passed underneath the keel ! ... And so the Appleseed went to the depth of the Ocean ! No one heard about the crew or the captain until now ! Felipe de la Manzana was found harrassed but alive in the coastal beaches of Terreli ! Felipe explained that all the crew is lost, and of course all the cargo ! He managed to survive the shark attacks by throwing them apples just before being eaten ! He said that one shark was nearly to choke after eating an apple ! This is what saved him ! Felipe conclued with this sentence full of wisdom : - This would never happened in an appletree orchard ! And finally here lies the Appleseed : Hope you liked it ! I have to make some precisions : - First : no ships were harmed during this scene. In fact the Appleseed is still built, I just made the rigging better ! - Secondly : this ship did not deserve to sunk ! I am saying that because when I built this MOC, the ship did really escaped my hands and fell but did not broke ! I made it pretty much sturdy ! - Third and last : I will not license her anymore and nobody will be able to ! This is my personal rule when I entered in BoBS : I will not license any Lost At See ship I will loose ! (it's stimulating me to build better vessels !) Thank you for reading.
  24. This was my first attempt to make an LDD Ship and the first of my own creations for a large ship. Normally, I just modify the sets.
