Mafia After Dark - Night 5: The Untouchables
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Lynching Terrance it is, then. Unvote: Candy (Captain Nemo) Vote: Terrance Knox (Trumpetking) Since we're still looking for the investigator, I'd like to remind them that this could be the last chance they have to help us. I'm pretty confidant about Terrance, Candy, and Priscilla but I'd sleep better if we had some back-up info. -
Mafia After Dark - Night 5: The Untouchables

I feel like we can all agree that Candy is scum. She seems to have known things she shouldn't like that Rolfie would be town. She's been one of my most adamant detractors, even though she makes no logical arguments to back her mistrust of me. I think she just wants the Vig gone because i'm in the way. Vote: Candy (Captain Nemo) If others agree that Terrence is a better lynch, I'm all for that as well. Or he may not be around to be lynched later. -

Mafia After Dark - Night 5: The Untouchables
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Calm down and pay attention. A lot of the points you're trying to bring up have been gone over already. Even if I were a serial killer, someone earlier pointed out that it doesn't make a difference to the scum's win condition. We still wouldn't have lost if there are 4 scum left. And I've repeated several times why you might have lied about the question you asked. It made a good distraction. Not enough to save Dexter but it had potential. As for "warnings" about third parties, I couldn't tell you how this has been set up. Serial killers are the most common third party but others are not unheard of. And just because the rules reference something, it doesn't mean that it exists. Sometimes a host will use misdirection to spice up a game. -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm not going to admit being a serial killer because I'm not one. I'm the vigilante and the town can see that. Your pathetic attempt to distract us won't work. I am scumhunting. You're scum. You're obsessing about a fictitious serial killer. 4-4 would be a loss if I wasn't able to kill a scum before the lynch. Duh. Not that we need to worry about it since you scum have basically admitted that there are only three of you left. I do think you had the oppurtunity to ask a question. I just think you lied about the question asked. It served as a distraction when the scum team needed one. Pay attention. -
Mafia After Dark - Night 5: The Untouchables
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So your most compelling reason that you think I'm the serial killer is that a previous game had one? Did this other game have a vigilante as well? That's it, now make it sound like we have to lynch me before we deal with the scum. We know there are scum. You have no proof that there even is a serial killer. Silly scum. How would 4-4 mean a loss? That wouldn't be "outnumbering" that would be tying. You know there are three scum left because you are scum. Simple. I think you're pulling that "clarification" out of your rear. It's not really a clarification, it just gets you what you want: someone else in then hot seat. That's why you came up with the list idea in the first place. That's why you and Candy are so insistent on saying that I'm a serial killer. I know I'm smarter than that and I'm pretty sure the rest of the town is as well. -
Mafia After Dark - Night 5: The Untouchables
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That doesn't even make sense. You think I'm a serial killer but you knew Rolfie was town because I only kill town? Do you know what a serial killer is? And that a serial killer wouldn't know any more about someone's affiliation than a townie? You might as well just come out and say that you're scum. You just keep digging yourself a hole every time you speak. I totally understand why you did that as little as possible before. So I was wrong. Tam should really include all the rules in the day threads, too for easier reference. Normally the scum only have to outnumber the town to win. I assumed they did this game as well. Whoops. This argument doesn't make sense either. Who killed Dad and the others if it wasn't the scum? Why are you leaving out something that obvious? I have to say that you're probably one of the better scum. I applaud you for taking over a train wreck and making it seem like a minor derailing. So the scum are Candy, Terrence, and Priscilla. There may be one more. Who does everyone else think the last one is? I actually think we don't need to bother with the list anymore. It can't be trusted. It's also very interesting to note that the players I think are scum all assume there are only 3 scum left. I wonder how they could know that... So maybe we aren't looking for another one. -

There's Candy's quote. Your uncanny ability to sarcastically predict the future astounds me. It's almost as if you knew what Rolfie's affiliation was already.... And I just looked at Terrences previous incarnations. What exactly are you metagaming here? That you were scum in the last two games and it's hard for you to be town? Thinking like a townie is easy when you're a townie. Maybe you're just out of practice. Kris seems to think you're claiming something. Maybe you should. I've done a quick tally, and it looks like the odds are pretty darn good that this could be our last day. If you got 'em, claim 'em. We can weigh the claims carefully and make a more informed decision(s). -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's interesting to remember what Candy said about my perfect record last time period. When I'm not having an out of body experience, I'll have to find the quote. Terrence for me to hazard a guess as to why you're acting the way you are, I'd have to remember something totally forgetable? I'll have to think about that one as well. I'll get back to you when I do. So the scum knew I'd be wrong about Rolfie. That explains why they've attacked my reputation rather than my life. -
Mafia After Dark - Day 5: Scarface
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I heard what you said, Terrence. Don't try to act like what I responded to was anything resembling a town mindset. Here's something you aren't thinking about (beside the other points I made): how would a townie possibly know when we're down to the last scum so we could lynch your supposed SK? You'll of course know when we'll be at that point since you know your own team's affiliation. And that's real cute, Candy. Both of you seem intent on believing the impossible. Is that because it's the only way you two can can think to win, now that Dexter and Rolfie are gone? Lame. It's so lame, in fact, that even Peter finds it stupid. That should tell you that you're in trouble right there. You've confirmed your scumminess for me, Terrence and Candy. The rest of us should thank you for making tomorrow that much easier. If there's a third one of you left, they can feel free to expose themselves, too. -

He's suggesting that we all blather on about crackpot theories until the day ends. Here's one: "There are no Ferraris! We're actually being killed by Chevrolets with delusions of grandeur!" Another?: "If we cover our eyes, the Ferraris won't see us and they can't kill invisible people!" Oh look, just as likely as the drivel Terrence and Candy are spouting. -

You can't even admit when you're wrong. Do you honestly believe you're infallible or are you covering your ears and humming to ignore the facts brought before you? In any case, my arguments haven't been for you. They've been for loyal heroes that keep their minds open.- 186 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Five
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I obviously didn't have all the information before. And that was before there was suspicion cast on the block or rather concurrently since I was the one casting the now-justified suspicion at first. The information I have is that I'm loyal. I had to do some guesswork based on what happened to me and the behavior of the "core". It's not like I had an investigation result and told everyone they should ignore it. Like you did for Brienne yesterday. Hmmmm...- 186 replies

Mafia After Dark - Day 5: Scarface
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks for being there for me in the end, Dad. Terrence, you're really getting on my nerves. Do you have some information that the others of us here don't? I've provided all the evidence at my disposal to prove who I am. Yet, you're so insistent that it seems like you'd rather search for an unconfirmed (and unseen) serial killer than actually finding the scum. But wait, now that you've realized no one is falling for it, you're going to pull back on the throttle: Oh so you see a time in the not so distant future that searching for a fabled serial killer will be a good idea? I invite you, once again, to take a look at the numbers. If there is a neutral amongst us, we probably would never have the buffer needed to waste a lynch on them. In fact, there'd be a better than decent chance that we've just lost with Dad's death. Why? Because the scum only need to outnumber us, the town. Neutrals aren't counted in that. You reek of scum, trying to cause a distraction and panic when we teeter on the raggedy edge. You want me gone? A true townie isn't going to knowingly vote off their vigilante. You should have killed me instead of dad. And that's why you're going to lose. Yes, feign dismay and then ask your scum team to rally now that their most vocal opponent is gone. Good job. Looks like I get to live for another day and you know what that means? A suspected scum is going to die. Guess who? Might be you, might be one of your buddies like Candy. We'll have to see. This is a numbers game. Always has been. Not taking me out when the town knows I'm their vig and when we're getting a pretty clear picture of who the scum is, was a bonehead move. And you'll pay for it. We can take out two scum tomorrow and I'm betting you'll be one of them. -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I have to say that reading through these, you don't seem to be much of a leader at all. It looks like the Brienne and Calico show to me. I don't see any behavior in there that scum couldn't be faking. In fact, Brienne seems to do it better than you. And I don't see any of your actions as definitive proof that you're loyal because of that. Maybe I'm wrong and you're just a puppet, too. I was basing my opinion on your behavior in the Hall, where you state things as if they're fact when they're not and don't really listen to anyone else.- 186 replies

How would they ever be able to outnumber us if that were the case? I'd also think if that were true there'd be another whole faction to balance it out. We've seen no evidence of that either. -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I'm guessing three. And wasn't it earlier than D2? You keep saying that you're responsible for taking out scum, where's the proof that it was you or Brienne that did it all? And appearing to take on fellow scum is called bussing. As far as Calico went, you had someone to take the fall for you if people realized too early what you were up to. And her death seemed to confirm you as the town core. A death Brienne could have easily prevented. If it weren't for Maxi investigating Brienne the whole thing would have worked and the two of you, with Chromeo at your side, would have been in a great position for leading the loyal hall in a merry chase that would result in you mysteriously not finding any other scum.- 186 replies

I am a little surprised that Shane and Donny being able to communicate wasn't brought up before. It seems to me like that could have been relevant information in the lynch against Dogface. Oh, man. I almost just shot milk out of my nose and I haven't had milk for a year. (Milk scares me. Never trust anything that comes out of an animal's nether regions.) -

Thank you, Scamander. Yet you were so adamant that Brienne was town yesterday that you thought it was a waste of time to look into the investigation result. Now that Maxi's confirmed not to have been lying, you're covering your rear end. So Chromeo and Brienne were both in your "core", huh? Imagine that.- 186 replies

No, you weren't saying anything of substance at all. And now you come out with this theory as if you were paying attention the whole time. I'm not mad, I'm just pointing out how odd it is. And that it's scummy. Your problem with my kills is ridiculous. It doesn't matter what their actual allegiance was. There's no definitive way I could have known especially since I could never be in contact with an investigator. I did the best I could and it's my reasoning for those kills that should be scrutinized. I already pointed out that I didn't kill the first night. A SK would have. I don't have time to post all the time either but I don't zip in and say nothing, especially when someone has responded to me. -
