The OFFICIAL LEGO Online Survey
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Didn't realize you could still do the survey! But I have done it just now, and I am glad I did! I hope I made a difference! These were my request, not really verbatim, but - 1. Continue the Pirates theme! 2. Make older themes and sets still available online 3. Make sets for teens, etc. with more complex building skills 4. More pop culture themes (Star Trek, etc) [Would a Trek theme be awesome?] 5. Don't put max ages on sets just put 6+ not 6-12 [seriously, THIS has always bugged me! What if I still want to play with LEGO bricks?!] -
Review: Neptune Discovery Lab
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wait a minute, you mean to say the unprinted yellow wall corner is more rare? That's most interesting! And I now know why the Crystal Explorer Sub (I think that's what it's called) had the transparent neon orange headlight bricks in the sides! It can interact with the bases refueling system as well! Very clever, TLG! I'm also surprised that the guy with the green glasses comes with this set. I had assumed that guy didn't come in until the second wave of Aquanauts sets, but I guess he was just available in the base originally. Although, I have to wonder, why isn't Aquazone, Atlantis et al considered Sci-Fi? I am perplexed as to why the futuristic underwater themes are in this "Action" section. -
Very nice base. I like those prototypes as well. Although, you could always just make a bigger base.
-
Those are very nice, man! I like the interiors you gave them! Very cool! You should get the bricks and make them for real! Very cool base, can we get more views of it? Oh, and you should build this out of LEGO bricks, that would be cool!
-
That is cool to know that the new sets are available now! I hope someone reviews them soon! I am really interested in that base! Also, why is it that some recent vehicles, such as that Atlantis sub, and the undercover space police vehicle use the two-window panel, with no panes, in such an unusual fashion? I don't get that. OH! Hey, I saw the Galactic Enforcer on clearance at Wal-Mart today for 60 bucks, y'all! What do you think? I can't decide whether to get it or not. As far as I can tell all that's wrong with it is some scrunching of the box here and there. I'm not sure if has been opened and returned because I am not sure if that tape on the box is manufacturer's or Wal-Mart's. Does anyone have a shot of the side of a box?

Looking very good, the bridge looks much better. Although, if I must say... and I just now noticed it myself, you might want to change the chair a bit after you get a good look at the real "McCoy". Also, what is with the random picture in the middle? And, I am wondering how this will be integrated into the main body and held up by mere technic axles! -
Those are very cool man! I am wondering, can mini-figs fit in them? Also that's funny someone gave one of yours red eyes and a gold tooth! Ever consider building Sinistar?

Please tell us your screen resolution and browser
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm on the newest version of Firefox and have a resolution of 1024 by 768! Looks like a lot of people have bigger/better monitors than me! Shows how outdated this thing is! I really do need to get a new one of these days! What if there are people who still have a resolution of 800 by 600? -
PETITION to keep the Pirates theme beyond 2010
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Zorro's topic in LEGO Pirates
Don't know if it will do any good to sign at this point, but... I agree. The legendary Lego pirates finally come back only to be taken away. I don't know if there's a special site or anything I have to go to or just sign in this thread, but in any case... *stamp* SIGNED! -
An introductory shot of this simple, yet elegant car. The driver is ready to head out... However... Sir, I'm afraid you've got some engine trouble! But apparently he got it squared away... Another nice view with the driver inside. Side view. Annnd back view. With the sun-roof raised. Lastly, classic GTA view.

LEGO Sci-Fi Index - Discussion
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I forgot about this. I suppose this would be the most appropriate thread to post this. In any case, the Spyrius theme reviews (realized there are two now!) - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=24374 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41404 Ice Planet Theme review - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23752 And after doing a search, not only did I realize that that Spyrius theme review on the first page is a new one (not the one I had read before) but there are dedicated Ice Planet reviews not in the index! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36603 Ice Station Odyssey http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30225 Blizzard Baron Not to mention I don't think those recent Explorien reviews have been indexed, and many of the links, for M: Tron and Blacktron II sets, for example, are in a separate post from their thumbnails, for some reason... There might be more that are missing, perhaps a better search could find them, if so. It's problematic as some threads are simply titled "Review:_____" and then the name as the set, as oppose to having the name of the theme in the thread title as well! Please look into this! Thanks! Edit - Looking back at the second page (specifically Clone o' Patra's post), apparently many reviews have not been indexed. So yeah, if those haven't then those need to be added as well. I had no idea there any Space Police II reviews! -
Wow, just awesome! And even better once I saw the interior pictures! That's a great mansion you built, keep up the good work. Although, I do wish we could get a better view of that officer's desk.

So sorry to hear about your dog. It's always a sad day when we lose our pets. I agree with the others that bridge should be much smaller. Also, it looks like you've changed Kirk's chair? I like how it looked before. Otherwise really nice, though. -
The Best Spaceship Released By LEGO

Awwww, you tricked us. I was expecting something awesome, lol. I do agree though that the Ice Planet flagship is great! Another really good one is Galactic Mediator! -
MOC: Ice Planet Crystalline Corvette
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Yes, I know... wow, really? I might have to look into that. I'm not a member there though or anything. Surprised it is that cheap as it is exclusive to one set! Thanks! And thanks for the comments, everyone. I have some more space MOCs that I've built that I am planning to post soon. -
Review: Neptune Discovery Lab
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Awesome, awesome review of the legendary Aquanauts' base that many of us dreamed of owning back in the day. I had quite a few of the sets but never managed to pick up this one! I like how you went into detail about all the play functions and details of the set. It really has some neat features about it. Although, is it just me or did you make a mistake in your building? There is a 1x2 stud instead of another 1x3 slope at the end of the conveyor belt. Also, I think the small clear blue windows (such as the one on the side of the conveyor system) are a nice detail, as well. A great base with tons of play features and that tower, and a sizable support vehicle! Can't ask for much more! -
REVIEW: Portal of Atlantis 8078
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to daoudbazaar's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That was a cool review, thanks. It definitely has a lot of interesting features to it, and the portal gate thing is too cool! I love the interior details and Portal Guardian! Very nice! -
Thanks for the awesome review. This is certainly an excellent set and reminds me very much of the old Legoland truck. But this one actually has a trailer! And little sets to haul around! Too cool! I must admit the features of the cab are very cool, but do you have any more pictures that we can see the inside better?

LEGO Pirates - Part Requests
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
That's all great and well and good and all but what good will this do now that Pirates is canceled? -
Oh yeah, it is, isn't? Yeah, thanks for that explanation. Though I was seeing things there for a while. Yep, this is a good one. I wonder, is the boat made to be docked in that little enclosed area next to the rock? Because that would be cool. This would definitely be one I need to pick up. It's very cool.

On the box art it looks darker. But in the one you got off Ebay it looks the same color! Or is that just how the photos came out? And I know, I have quite a few of them.
-
Heh, for a moment there I thought someone had posted in the Imperial Trading Post review thread, but this is a new review! Thanks for the review on this one. This is one Imperial set I have never owned. While I do have the Flagship, Trading Post, and used to have the Cannon Cove when I was a kid. And is that mountain piece the same color as the other gray pieces? I never knew such a thing existed!

LEGO Pirates - Part Requests
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
I love these ideas. The small chest, accessories, 1X1 with studs on both ends (how did you know I wanted that?!) are especially awesome! Although, you can still get brown chests! -
Review: 6982 - Explorien Starship
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor replied to Walter Kovacs's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
You don't think the minifigs are as good as the classic ones? Look at the details they have! Also, I like the Spyrius Android better, which is where it first showed up. Although, I can't find the head to mine back! I even still have the clear helmet! You said there were ways to reinforce the set. Care sharing that with people or is it something that is pretty much common sense? 80 bucks? Wow, is it really that much bigger than, oh say, the Deep Freeze Defender? I wouldn't mind seeing some comparison shots to that, and maybe Galactic Mediator. -
An introductory quarter-angle shot. Side view. Sadly, I do not have the correct colored canopy. But, I think the neon orange complements the dark red well. The belly of the beast. The other side. Check out my cool weapons/tool array! Opposite quarter angle. Note to self, use the flash and forget about "close-up mode" A nice head-on view. A quarter-angle of the rear. And what a beast it is! Too many engines? Never! This thing is built for speed! Here you can see the red-hot engine/power core. Top view. Blast it all, that ski is crooked! I think this is another nice view of those wonderful engines. The canopy open, and we can see the pilot inside. Consarnit, I didn't notice until afterwards that the computer panel is upside-down! He's freeing it from some ice, perhaps? Use your imagination, this is LEGO! He's proud of his new assignment and issued vehicle and devices.
