  1. Cool. But I have a question. What is the difference between LDD and Lego Design By Me? And, should I update my LDD? I downloaded my version a while ago. Still haven't messed around with it, though. I'm too preoccupied by my real LEGO bricks.
  2. Nice looking bridge. But, I agree about the figs. Some look good and some don't. Also, what is up with the colored paper on the wall? That's just a placeholder right? And how would build a Klingon ship, buy a Statue of Liberty?
  3. Well that cake doughnut shaped island baseplate is pretty cool, and it does come with stairs (that go into the water, >_< but maybe it's high tide. ), a swinging bridge, rigging, two jails, goodness all that foliage, and a crow's nest! Only problem is, how do you work one of those crow's nest into your ship? I notice none of the ships actually use that piece, and it doesn't have a hole in it for the masts to run though, or any real way to attach from the bottom, for that matter. I suppose you're just supposed to make one out of bricks on one of those dark gray platforms with the clips?
  4. Yes, and it has a thinner beard than RedBeard too. Hmm... Wow, Brickmoor... err, Blackmoor is just now seeing some of these reviews. I agree about the gun port doors. Mine actually had green lanterns, but I had no problem with that as I think they go with the doors nicely.
  5. Thanks. But what do you mean by landing space? Of course there is a shark! They are the Shark Pirates! Some of them even have AquaShark uniforms, and all of them are wearing blue somewhere.
  6. Look closely. There is a rudder! You are probably right about the wheel, though. Although, when I removed it, before taking pictures, it seemed like something was missing. Perhaps there is something else I could put there in its place.
  7. Welcome aboard, matey! I like the ship, but I wish there were more pics!
  8. Hmm, didn't really care for this one. I thought Rock Island Refuge was much better. It and the one with the big skull gate were great Pirate bases. I actually think some of the alternate models are better. Nice review though. Thanks for making me aware of the trap door feature.
  9. Awesome, you reviewed another Aquazone set. This one is one of my favorites and another one I had as a child. My brother and I had a great deal of fun with these. And I agree those minifigs rule! I look forward to the rest of the reviews. I hope you do Neptune Discovery Lab because that one is simply awesome, I always dreamed of having it and would love to see all the inner details!
  10. Awesome, finally some reviews of these excellent Aquazone sets. I agree with you about being disappointed by the lack of discussion and reviews on these. I loved them as much as any of the old space sets. By the way, were those big view ports at the front created first for the Aquanauts? I've always wondered. I used to have this one but it is in pieces now, and I am not sure I still have all the pieces. I should have at least three of those trans-blue canopies (from this and Saucer Centurion) but I can find only one! I also can't say as I have ever experienced breakage with the arm joints, either... I wasn't aware that was an issue, and I can assure you they were heavily played with. Hey, that Aquanaut has a Spyrius head, you can't fool me! I always did like those two heads, though. Great for customizing. Whoa Aquanaut is a word but Aquazone isn't? Interesting.
  11. Thanks for that wonderful review of a great set I always dreamed of having but never acquired. I had many of the Aquazone sets. Sadly, they are all in pieces now and I don't think I still have all the pieces to them anymore. I hope more of these sets are reviewed. I was quite sad to see that most of them don't have reviews at all.
  12. Wow, I love this idea! Neat Captain's chair. I can't wait to see how this turns out!
  13. Remember the Alamo... graah! As a Texan, I love this. Any chances of maybe making the Alamo more developed? Also the pictures could be a little better. >_<
  14. Seconded, and what is in the Lieutenant's hand? It looks like a piece from a pull-chain to a ceiling fan. Wait a minute, how can all these be someone's "first MOC"? Didn't they play with LEGO bricks as children?
  15. Oh, I thought there was more LEGO fan terminology for me to learn. So go post there now. Thanks, Hornbricker, I think it turned out pretty well considering, and you start to forget it is built on a row boat!
  16. I guess both. You about the string and him about the ship. I keep forgetting it isn't your ship.
  17. Wow, really? I can't believe Hobby Lobby didn't have it! Thanks! Nice ship so far, by the way... got to be tough with no hull sections, but at least you have a keel!
  18. MOP? Thanks, did you see the Piratey Island I made?
  19. I thoroughly enjoyed that review. Never realized this one had such a similar predecessor. Now, can you imagine how awesome and updated Solar Snooper would be?
  20. I can hear the sirens already. But I do wish it was made of real bricks! Still, good job, man!
  21. Good point, and I don't think some of those were meant to have an illusion of air-tightness anyway, more like just a windscreen (or since it is in space, space dust screen?) and then the minifig has his space suit to protect him. In any case, even though it is LEGO, obviously, it's always fun to come up with as much realistic touches as possible, and be creative about it too. Don't you hate when you are building a vehicle only to realize the minifig won't fit or has to lean back to sit in it? Then it is back to the drawing board.
  22. What's MLCad, like... a drafting/architecture program? In any case, I got some pics ready and uploaded, and I actually built a very unique ship today. I had it visualized for along time but finally came up with how to build it today.
  23. Very unique thing to build and I look forward to its completion!
  24. An establishing shot. Why was there never a King for the Imperials? Anyway, I decided to make one. And a boat for him, too. Although, it could also be an Admiral's/Captain's Launch/Yacht, as well, and my Imperial ship was actually modified to carry it behind the stern castle at one point, similar to SES. It even has a rudder, but does it need one? The model sans minifigs, and displaying the sail adjust-ability. My inspiration was actually that small ship built on a dinghy from an ad for one of the old idea books in an old S&H catalog. I actually built a similar ship for pirates, since I didn't have a pirate ship, back in the day. Version 1, and how it usually looks since I only have one of those white roof pieces!
  25. Oh, I see... well, we are looking forward to the new pictures, in any case! Oh yeah, I posted pics of another MOC of mine, go check it out if you haven't already.
