I'm a huge castle fan but I'm not touching King's Castle because it is way too similar to to Castle Siege.

Very good review for a very nice impulse set. Reading these old reviews reminds me of when the Pirates were just coming out. I love them all dearly and wish they would come out with more, and not only more but more creative sets. I like your minifig btw : )

What ticks me off about this is that all the people in that forum call them Smurf 'lego' even though they're Megablocks...As my parents learned early on in childhood: there is a difference.

The cons seem to be stacking up on the Kingdoms line...This and the new castle are super lack luster. Sure the minifigs can walk up the stairs but most of the features don't do anything!

For the modular sets I would guess two years. The larger sets tend to stick around for longer than the regular sets that last a year or so on shelves.

The game will have to stand on its own. World of Warcraft charges 15 dollars a month and has been going for years now. I paid for that for three years because it was good. Then it got bad and I quit. If the game isn't good then don't pay the money. Simple as that. If it is good then you'll want to play it. Personally I wont play unless it is very good. I got pissed off with WoW because they kept changing and making all of my efforts worthless. I realized that I wanted to play with something that actually existed that I could feel with my hands. Its no coincidence that at the same time I came back to LEGO.

I think you should take the Ninja/Samurai line with a bit of a grain of salt as to when it occurred. Obviously it would have to be a bit late with the amount of gunfire they're packing but to exactly pinpoint where it is would be folly. I prefer to think that it all occurred at the same exact time as my castle men, my pirates, my townspeople, and the space sets all at exactly the same time in alternate universes Makes it interesting in the crossovers. Ninjas vs Pirates vs Castlemen vs Aliens. I'm currently pitching this to studio executives for a movie!

You're being too hard on yourself. You can make the guns as big as possible as long as he can support them. Who cares? Its your own creation! I think its awesome.
