Kept putting off building a crate for this! Shouldn't procrastinate so much. This crate is filled with....Ninjas?

16) Cowboy, Jungle Explorer & Gorilla Suit Guy Entry (Build by msidell) 3 points. A lot of people went for the easy combos of minifigures but I thought this one had the best combination overall. -
There are four minifigures. Clever people will realize what the real four theme here is. Spoilers: The real four here is the legs. One leg, two legs, three legs, four legs. Pirate captain, wench, old man, toddler. Pirate captain has only one leg, the wench has two, the beggar has three with his cane and the toddler has four with his hands.

3 Points 9) Tribal Hunter & Traffic Cop Entry (Build by Fugazi) They were all close but I burst out laughing so hard I couldn't stop for minutes after seeing this, especially since I tried my hand at something similar. -

Good contest. It's depressing not being able to find the figures anywhere near me I hope the next one is a bit harder to find! Here's to hopefully not having to cough up a premium for the Series 2! -
Heavily modified 7947 Prison Rescue Tower

To put it simply, I would have paid $50 for this set. This is such a vast improvement over the original. It puts the first set to shame. -

My favorite is ‘Redemption: The Return of Anakin Skywalker’ by Fat Tony While I am not usually a fan of the larger MOC’s in this contest because I feel that they attempt to do too much and ‘wow’ the audience with just sheer size rather than building technique or set up, Fat Tony’s entry is clearly a cut above the rest. After viewing the first picture I knew I had a favorite, and then I saw another picture, and another picture and another picture, all from the same creation. This is draw dropping. The first scene depicted is accurate loyal to the movie 100%. The pit that the Emperor is being thrown down is amazingly detailed and the lighting effects that are employed are just the icing on the top. Palpatine’s body being suspended in the air with the Force Lightning still billowing from his fingertips is an amazing feat. But Fat Tony didn’t stop just there. Using the sheer size of his creation he knew that he could do more. He also added a few humorous scenes to offset the seriousness at the top of his creation. The holographic projection with the spurting fire is a nice touch, as is the scene from ‘A New Hope’ depicting the Stormtroopers attempting to open the blast doors. All in all this creation captures the scene of Anakin’s redemption, the death of the emperor and goes above and beyond that to include other scenes that are nice touches to the entire build. I hope this wins crowd favorite because it certainly is mine.

I'll get over the insane amount of dark tan tiles you have (good lord, you must have found a pick a brick motherload) and say that this is an amazing MOC. I watched this movie today (Spike celebrating the 'Force of July') and I must say that the battles inside the cities were some of the best parts and you've captured that here. On the other hand I must say that the movie is god awful as a whole...

I'm so going to build a bathroom one day with no toilet. They aren't aesthetically pleasing.

Looking for the most sturdy leg design for small mechs

I'd recommend posting pictures of your mechs so as to better understand how big they are and what sort of leg designs you've already tried. -

The wrong way to use diet coke and mentos

Yes, but this gentleman has clearly shown that it is possible to do this in the LEGO world. Nice work. -
Exoforce. Forget the Space Police 3. Only the second year of Space Police 3 is good.

No. Exo Force is the freaking best ever. Worst: Insectoids or Unitron. As cool as that monorail was for Unitron it had four sets and then it went goodbye.

Have Action Themes Become Extreme?
legitimatealex replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think you answered your own question. The sets definitely went from Town Subtheme (with some interesting baseplates and fun little sets) to the XTREME AWESOME ACTION PACKED FACE MELTING LINES of Agents, Res Q, World Racers we have now. Any Town theme that dies is to be mourned but what we gained was decent at best and gimmicky at worst. I’d rather have the Town theme personally. I’m getting a bit tired with the same old same old ‘Cops, Firemen, Service Workers, and then repeated printings of the minifig torsos’ that come up with every single freaking set. The outdoorsy and random spots that you probably would not have thought of initially were very attractive to me. I regret that they’re gone. I predict that our current ‘World Racers’ will most likely go down as a pretty unremarkable theme for LEGO. -
See when I first saw the Prince of Persia sets I immediately thought "Oh my god, Ostriches." I see some of us are a bit more refined than that. It truly is a great movie, an awesome film epic that for some reason I cannot find too many people who have actually seen it beginning to end. I like what you have done here and the train in the back is particularly great. It really adds a nice sense of depth and dimension, The only problem I have with this is the tan baseplate on the tan map. Perhaps a darker background would make the tan bricks on the tan baseplate stand out a bit more. Just my two cents. Greatness from a great movie.

Too frustrating! Remove the trains and stick them back in whatever order they're supposed to be : )
