As a dad with 5 yr and 7 yr boys, I understand totally. they build, break and leave all the mess to me, and I have to sort them back :( well, but I think LEGO is a "toy" for them, it means to be broken, it means to be played.. but I need to enforce some rules in the LEGO room for sure..

lol, exactly. but I always try to convince myself that LEGO is supposed to be played with (rather than just to be admired) and I believe that's where the creation idea start..

well. if I were the Op. i might sell it then use the money to buy Pet Shop and maybe train stuff. that huge thing uses a lot of space too :P

I do not have a categories document, so only I know where the pieces are (and I keep relocating them!) one thing bothers me that I have 2 young kids, who keep playing sorted LEGO. so my sorting takes forever :(

Just wondering if TLG would keep all the instructions (.pdf) online? or then would do some clean up (old sets instructions will be retired?) I am asking this because I am thinking I might need to save the pdf locally.

California's LEGOLAND is much bigger than Chicago's LDC , it also has several stores in the park if I am not mistaken.

for your information. I did see this set in Chicago LEGOLAND discover Center. so I assume all the LEGOLAND parks (Dallas?) should have this set. not sure about LEGO shop though.

I agree, most of it. I am just worried that for kids, this MBA would be just another 'instructions', or just another creator sets (actually I do not see it has much more value than a common Creator set - and Creator sets are cheaper - because they are not as popular as Starwars or Harry Potter) I really think kids should do more 'Freestyle' just like AFOLs do for MOCs. but nowadays, the offical sets have more and more details, so I feel lose motivation for MOC because of my MOCs would be far below offical sets. By the way, I found the MBA sets are not free shipping, will it be available in LEGO store?

LEGO is a hobby. so it is very personal thing to spend how much time to it. Just curious. normally how much time do you spend on LEGO every week? It could be building (either a set or a MOC) sorting (sorting pieces from built sets or loose piles) Watching (surfing eurobricks. ftbt. mocpages. lego.com etc) acquiring (refreshing S@H, craiglist, ebay etc, bricklink.) selling .. for me, I spend about 1 hours everyday.. but I really wish I could spend more!

Just to remind you that nowadays it is very unlikely you would get batman or old harry potter in discount chain stores. (they used to have them!) some book stores (Borders and BN) have LEGO too. but a little over priced (Borders used to have 33% + coupon every week. but seems it is gone :(

I did search but did not find topic about this. My question is that how you arrange your desk and storage , maybe a coach, and you will need a computer? I am attaching my storage picture, actually I have another half. but I have problem of putting my desk. currently my desk is in another side of the room (with computer). so when I building I have to go back and forth many times..quite tiring.. I believe you guys have better solutions.. TIA!

to be honest, IMHO.... if there are plenty of lego pieces in a huge box, it is not much fun to build. at certain point, you have to sort them, so you do not waste time during building your MOC using your imagination..

haha.. I understand why some teenagers would feel a little shy about lego. I never feel that way.. maybe because I am in 30s, so all the people assume I buy Lego for my kids (I do 'share' lego with them :)
