I am thinking to take advantage for US double VIP points promotion. between 8070 super car and 10219 Maersk train. I want both. (hoarding.. I know). which set do you think I should get? or maybe hold for now until they have deeper discount (from Amazon maybe?) Thanks!
-
I am thinking to get a shed too!. but mainly for store LEGO boxes (many of them are not opened.. yes blame me) so are you going to build by yourself? using a kit ? or just a rubbermaid one?
-
very "nice" for the build! really bad earth quake! love the pictures and details

Thank you all of you, for the all the comments and compliment! I did tile the kitch and family room. it does look much better now.. I also changed the coffee table. which I think it fits pretty well! also. I took the pictures for just-finished lower level.. a laundry room and LEGO room! oh yeah!

This is just a small house, kinda old design - split, so it has 1.5 level. nothing fancy. tiny home. but family are happy :) From Front From Back roofs removed Kitchen and family room upper level (2 bedrooms and a bath) lower level (laundry room, furnace and LEGO room!) and the whole family! flickr

I am wondering if we LIKE LEGO more just because we already had a fair big collections? If I only had one or two sets, and got some some pieces missing. the whole sets would be useless too (talking about theme sets, not the freestyle ..)

same here. wish it is just temporary.

Very nice! Would you mind sharing how you made the 'horizontal' window work?

One of my friends (NON-AFOL) came over to my place and looked at my bricks. All of sudden he said "secret code on each brick! " before I started the lecture about the individual piece ID of LEGO. he continued "And they are the same! all 0937! on each bump". I was thinking " what-A.. it is impossible.." I grabbed it back and realize he read it up-side-down , it was just 'LEGO' on the stud..

Yes.. never ending sorting. especially when you have 2 young boys play and mix all LEGO together almost everyday I don't listen to music. just stand and sort/sort. I feel that sorting method is pretty efficient. normally I could sort a full size of shoebox in about 1hour. by the way,After last handful pieces (most of them are small round plates) are put into draws. the feeling is great!

Actually a lot! I am in US. so here are the stores (including online) I spent: Walmart (and .com) Target (and .com) LEGO store (and .com) Toysrus (and .com) Barne & Noble (and .com) Amazon.com Borders (yes.. before it went to bankruptcy) Kmart.com I think I spent most on Amazon.com this year. and here is a picture I got for one day trip in (several) walmart stores. (I know many people spent more than me :) -
6243 is much more expensive than black Pearl If i am not mistaken? (unless you want a used 6243 vs new black pearl?) if cost isn't an issue. then get both. for cost perspective. I would get black pearl. (and get the imperial battle ship !) IMHO

Hi, I will be coaching a group of 5-8 yr old kids for simple LEGO technic building. Any reference you guys know? I am thinking to just introduce some concept first (gears, axles, beams, chains, motors etc) but I would like to let them build some simple machine for each class. I like to avoid NXT in this age groups. but focus on mechanic ? so any suggestions? Thanks in advanced! Mark

agree. for AFOL, maybe. however, LEGO is a toy, mainly for kids (mostly boys). that's why it will still sell. compare Ninjago with license theme(CARS, TOY STORY), Ninjago provides more free space for kids to play. they even do not need to watch any movie or books. just like HERO FACTORY, which I never think I will like. but kids still love them. (no offense for some Adults here).
