That yellow thing is quite obviously a doohickey, possibly left there by Sariels hamster!

To be fair, we have no idea how close his replica is. It looks the same but the inside could be entirely different. I hope it is, I see LAs on his version

Thanks 1974. It's interesting to read that the two guys reporting both said the technic sets stood out as being the best with Huw saying 42043 being the set best at the entire show.

I can't see any of these reports on brickset or anything about technic in the toy fair report. I assume all the interesting stuff has been reported here already, right?

Weird A model to B model

I have not seen that piece of press. -
Please read the forum where you have been asked repeatedly not to ask for pictures in the forum.

I have done some colour correction, perspective corrections (so you get a direct, straight view of the box), sharpening of the image and some other trickery in photo shop and the main blue colour really does look dark blue to me. After the colour corrections both the crane and the Arocs look quite a lot more appealing. After correcting the box perspective the pneumatics look a tad longer. I'm slightly more convinced we'll be getting 3 completely new sizes of cylinder and double rear wheels. I can see now why TLG would not want our first look of these great sets to be that of these poor preliminary images because they really don't do the sets any justice. I'm still extremely glad to see them though .

Well sticking two LAZORS back to back has always looked a bit shit! And yeah, I got my pneumatics 2.0. Perseverance my friend. It's hard work being that annoying for that long. But don't worry, I have a looooong list of other parts I can nag about. Why a long list? Because sticking two short list back to back is....well....you know!

Oh sorry, I was talking about how a hook lift version could be made for the B model. But yeah, after doing some pixel counting the telescoping cylinder appears to be 3 studs longer than the standard size. The other ram that bends the arm also appears to be longer than the standard size though maybe not as long as the longest. I think there may actually be 3 new sizes with the current size not being used at all. The fact that it says Pneumatics 2.0 might support the idea that the whole system has been completely redesigned, valves included. But this is pure speculation at this point.

Two long pneumatics for the lift, one medium one with the telescopic piece to extend it and it's an accurate representation of the real thing. Perfect! Some people have mentioned that the bed on the A-model might tip. I see no indication that it does but if it does that just an added bonus. I'm also pretty certain it has dual rear wheels. The front axle looks to be very slim, I can't see hardly any of it despite the quite high ground clearance. You would expect to see the lower beam but I can't see it. Usually creating live axle suspension at this scale and to TLGs standard can be problematic. A new set up involving new parts maybe to make it more like the real Mercedes like they did with the Unimog perhaps?

B-model will probably be this: As much as we have all been asking for more white, do guys think that in this particular case, with the large rear bed being all grey, that they should go with a different colour like orange or ever silver champion silver? That would look epic! Also, though it doesn't need suspension to be great, the gap between the arches are larger than the picture shown above for scale.
