That's why I said close! Enough said about the Bongo as I won't do an MOC of it just to reshoot the scene. I created a monster! Be patient youngling cause there's no new MOC this week but I've got something planned for next month. No need to apologize and thanks for the FP. You just don't quit, do you? Those buildings were designed based from the actual props used in the movie. Ditto. Yeah, that's what I felt about the sub after going through the final pics. Had the BURPs (LURPs) sunk by two studs and splashed by the waves to cover them up. Ditto about the sub. Thanks! AC

Thanks, believe it or not all the minifigs are unmodified coming from various themes (SW, HP). AC

Just I'm a conformist!, I say! This build illustrates the reason why I also do other themes cause you never know when you need some buildings. The Bongo is the system set unmodified. I've been called worse than that but that's in a good way I take! Have you gone back to watch Episode I again? Lick it all the way. So you did notice those details. That thought crossed my mind after going through the final pics. You too? Need some rest after this but already planning for next month. Yes, you were. Most of the roof tops in Theed were sand green (HP) and those new pieces from the PoP sets were just right. Yes, the Bongo is the unmod set. Thanks! They were either geese or swan like from the movie but not ducks. AC

Wait a minute, this is an old one but haven't posted it on EB till now. Thanks. Yeah can't believe it's been that long and haven't done a large ship for quite sometime now after this. Have you already seen the previous MOC? That's exactly the shape that I was going for but made it into a Star Wars ship. Just keep on viewing and I'll I'm a conformist!! Not by any means, just designed it to look like one. Each rack has eight BDs but only fitted four racks, though conceivably it can take eight racks (x8) which makes 64. Those are trans-dark panels that just kept the shape at the top in line with the rest of the ship.

I really should post some older MOCs! There's another reason for the whole minifig entourage which will become more apparent later. Did you know that Natalie Portman wasn't in some of the scenes that didn't require close-ups? I'll give you one guess on what the theme would be for the next one and be sure to drop by this weekend for it. Yes, they did. Thanks and hope you'll enjoy the next one as much as this! AC

Exactly what I had in mind! I guess it goes with the territory. You're welcome. Already working on the next one. I've been wanting to do this scene for quite sometime but wasn't satisfied with the statues that I came up with previously. Good thing the idea for them came up unexpectedly and it turned up quite well. AC

Thanks all for your comments and be sure to check the other pics or you would've missed this shot. Wanted to convey the classic mood of the city. Not much to say except that I couldn't find the correct BDs at the time of the shoot. The extra rise was to gain a bit more height without having to extend the footprint beyond the 44x48 large baseplate. Yes it is, see note above regarding the BDs. Aren't we getting ahead too much already? Ditto with BDs. Yes, that's right. Like the previous MOC which was an idea after sorting the curved slopes, these other slopes remained and the question was what are these good for? A little bit of trial and error, thus produced the miniland look-alike statues. I've actually searched to find out if anybody has even tried to do this scene and got nothing back. I did find this image which I used as reference for the statues. Aren't we getting too picky now? See note about the statues above. I try to do my best. More about the stairs and statues above. Thanks and didn't really have to watch the movie again for this MOC as I found some reference pics to use. AC

Thanks all for your comments! I've edited the main post to add the separate builds. Saw that too in the behind the scenes video. There are a couple of MOCs from those pod racers. Might have seen some pics of that in Flickr and don't have enough bricks to do it in that scale. Maybe it's time to go back and see the other details. Wish I had more so it could have been even bigger! Look again as there's more underneath those stands. AC
