  1. Just having fun with the steampunk module and you got it right with your comments about the reactor rooms as they've been designed to function as a unit. The hallways will show the continuity between the modules once I'm done with the next module. For a hint, it's an indispensable feature of any star wars ship be it really large (star destroyer) or small (Slave I). AC

  3. Thanks and you're right the hallways are not required. But if you look at the overall map layout, hallways are shown to connect all of the modules on the Main floor. Since the five modules that I've signed up for connect together, I figured might as well add the hallways to show how they'd look like. AC

  7. Thanks all for your comments! The Hoth theme replaced this one and if you look closely enough each of these MOCs had my sig on the right side. This was designed specifically to fit the store display case with the different levels and I've noticed during the lunch hour visits how the little kids had the better view of the bottom level. Kinda amusing to see the parents bend/kneel down to see exactly what was going on down there. Some members from FBTB and Lugnet were able to see this and the other MOCs that I've done for the store from Nov 2007 through July 2008. Got to know the store manager and staff who let me do these. That's the regular Vader TIE fighter. They might still have one stuck in the stockroom. Keep your fingers crossed as I might do a comeback at this store. That's why I'm bringing up some of these MOCs as I realized that not many EB members had the chance to view them. You're right about the second level as it was designed based from the movie (IIRC I must have gotten the idea from a DK book). Surprisingly, it's still assembled though a few pieces have been taken out for some other MOCs. I've actually seen that scene played at least a couple of times. : There were also inquiries from some parents if the whole thing was for sale. I knew that somebody here would've seen it! There was also a black R2-D2 and R2-D4 way at the back. AC
  8. Chime in if you were able to see this in person when it was displayed from Nov 2007 thru Jan 2008 at the NJ Bridgewater Mall. Details AC

  14. Thanks for your comments and that blast door design is an improved version of this original. This is pretty much done for now as I still have four more to go (Modules 1, 3, 13, 14). AC
  15. That's why I take a lot of pics especially the details so that I have a way of remembering what design techniques I've used for the MOC. Here's one last look I found after decons or before cons (not sure which)? Feel free to use any design aspects here that can help in your own MOC (especially that BGW). AC
  16. The following thread will show the work-in-progress for the modules that I've signed up for the EBCSWB. 17. Thanks all for your comments! Lucky enough to grab clearance sales and PaB wall. Yes, they are. Probably about a month for about an hour or two during the evenings. Thanks. That's from the official set. I guess you're liking this a lot! The concept for this was taken from the SW site and just took the design to what I thought the base would look like. Yeah, the minifigs were recruited from all over system sets. The whole concept for the base was that it be self-sufficient, ergo the reason for all the detailed rooms and functions. The AT-AT or AT-ST were not seen in Tatooine but I wanted to have an Imperial land vehicle and it just so happens that I've done the rolling version of the AT-AT. Sorry, but you'll just have to figure that out for yourself as this has already been deconstructed. Most are easily distinguished from their details. Waldo is not there, but I've planted a minifig that everybody loves to hate! Look again if you can spot it. Got a better camera now but a little bit too late for more pics. Besides the structures, I'd always take a lot of time for the placement of the minifigs to give life to it. After all, it's supposed to be a diorama! I gotta admit though that the gun turrets have been designed before for another MOC. AC

    UCS TIEs

Also do the same as it's difficult to have a good supply of bricks especially the hard-to-find pieces. That's why I take a lot of pics most of which are about specific designs where I can always go back at the photos if I ever needed to do it again. AC

    UCS TIEs

That's a good one and looks sturdier also as mine suffered from stability issues with the wings so it can't be swooshed around. Odd that you also got it posed just like this. Didn't realize that you've got inspired by these in your own works and thanks for that. The UCS TIE Interceptor set wasn't a popular choice when it came out as I remember seeing lots of them in TRUs. If TLC came out with the TIE Fighter instead, that should have sold a lot more but I'm not complaining after the deals I got on these. When I did these models, I wasn't going for overly detailed features and one of them was the cockpit. Sorry to disappoint as I'm sure yours will probably have more details than mine. Good luck on your quest to build and are you going to keep them all built? AC
  21. That piece came from the Gungan Patrol 7115 set. AC
  22. The design was intentional to reflect the Doo Wop era and you'd be surpised that a lot of these motels had the pools by the beach. Maybe someday soon I'll get to the islands. Thanks! AC

    UCS TIEs

We all can dream, can't we? TLC already did the minifig scale Thanks! I'd like to see your version of it. That's why I used the Hasbro figures to show the scale. Come to think of it, I should've placed a minifig beside them for comparison. I try to do other themes every now and then to experience design concepts/techniques that otherwise would've not been possible if I just stuck with purely SW. There's more that can be done with the larger scale dioramas and if you've got the bricks to do it, why not. It also helps that you know the staff from the Lego store who can give you first dibs on the PaB wall when they get their shipment. As for the Tie/D, like everything else that I build which stay standing for awhile until I need the parts for another MOC. It was the last one done and that's the only reason it stayed. You just got to keep brickin' and take inspiration/design techniques from those that have already done it. Actually got three from one store and had to get to another store to grab the other two. I will do other UCS scale in the future and probably redo but I have to borrow the tracks from when the time comes. AC
  24. Thanks and as for the AT-ST, the earlier version fit more to the scale of the whole diorama. The better version which I tried first was too big even for the trees, so the choice was to make the trees bigger or just use the earlier AT-ST. AC
  25. Thanks again for all your comments! Next installment will be sometime next week as I have to get some more photos taken. AC
