That's a scumtell. It's far too early to give up for a townie. Voting's not even open yet. I doubt people are set in their convictions, since it's far too early and votes have been turned over on Day 1 mor ethan once. So either you're appealing to emotion, or you actually believe you're dead. Both is highly anti-town.
-
What do you mean? It's actually OMGUS (not chainsaw), which is a scumtell, but what do you mean by "when one of the targets turns out scum"? Of course, we're only sure of allegiances when someone's dead. But that has nothing to do with scumtells like Chainsaw and OMGUS. It's not the townie thing to do. If you're town, you accuse people because you think they're scum, not because they attack you or because they are under attack. That's what scum do, trying to save themselves. Town try to catch scum, not to survive.
-
Why is it unlikely that the scum would encourage the town to keep rational? It's a good way to say something and look helpful to sheep without helping at all. And we can't be 100% sure that we lynch scum, if we could, why would most Day One's and with a townie lynched? We can aspire to be as sure as possible, but 100% is impossible. Sounds like you just wanted to say something and didn't even bother as to what. Please think first next time
-
Huh? This doesn't make any sense. At all. The Admiral is not even a PC suspect. And when did he appeal to our emotions? And what have facts to do with that? Well, you confuse me all the time. You're glad you've got an enemy? And you don't even make an accusation against Wright other than "What everyone is saying", but you'd vote for him, because it would save your megablocks? That's incredibly scummy. As is Lieutenant Daly trying to distract from you.
-
Well, there's sure more to be gained from talking about other factions than from baseless accusations, but we don't have much to talk about. All we've got is the reminder from the Admiral that there might be other factions. People denying the possibility or focusing on that second party might be a scumtell, but even if we learn tonight about that party, our discussion today won't get us further tomorrow, since all we can do is speculate. I dont see how a second party might influence our strategy today, since we don't yet know anything about them. I agree with you there. He quickly surrenders his position and reacts overly apologetic, as if he's afraid to be under suspicion.
-
Don't misunderstand me, I never said we should be silent, or that we shouldn't accuse. I just said we shouldn't accuse baselessly. Because baseless accusations will get people to talk, but it won't yield anything. For example: I see you're wearing a beret, that seems awefully scummy to me. Defend yourself! Whatever you reply to that, we won't get any further. We will talk, but about nonsense, which will distract us, and nobody will slip up under such an accusation.
-
How about people's behaviour in the first place, how vocal they are, if they actually contribute anything or just try to look active, and so on. So far we're still in the orbit, aren't we?
-
So let's all accuse each other for no reason whatsoever? Baseless accusation have a tendency to irritate people, yes, but they do so regardless of their allegiance. Angry scum aren't far more prone to slip-ups, but angry townies are very likely to miss such slip-ups and instead lynch these useless townies who do nothing but accusing others randomly. Seriously, we need to keep calm and rational, and not seek to annoy each other as much as possible. And have you really just advocated baseless accusations?
-
I think there's no point in speculating about other scum factions, as there is no way we could verify them right now. And even if there are other scum groups, I don't see how that would influence our course of action at that point. And accusations per se are good, but baseless accusations (like accusations based on people's hairstyles ) won't get us anywhere at all, but rather distract us.
-
How could I fire you? You're not even an engineer. And the way I see it, ranks mean pretty much nothing at this point...and that hairstyle's not that scummy. And you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, blondie.
-
So, I'm not allowed to do the engineering? These Purists are going to pay for that, so we can all return to our work. Well, I myself don't have any clues so far, but I'm sure, as the day progresses, I'll get a reading on some of you.

Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion

I just want to have you know, while you are making explosives, that self-made explosives are strictly forbidden anywhere near the engines. Or, as the manual puts it: Just so you don't forget it. Wait a second, does the "§"-sign even exist in English? If not, it's a foreign manual -

And I've once read about another Donna, which happened to work for the scum, blocking people, and was killed by someone who reminds me a lot of our Admiral. I wasn't there, though. -

I meant one of the non-engineer ensigns anyway. I mean, if one of you'd die of food poisoning, how would we replace you now? That would mean more work for anyone. And I care about my subordinates. We engineers have to stick together. -

Thanks for the offer, but unless one of the ensigns eats it first, I'll have to decline. -

I'm Lieutenant Commander Matthew Wilder, and don't worry, as your Chief Engineer I'll make sure that this vessel will run free of disturbances of any kind. These Purists won't stand a chance! -
Looks like you've put a large amount of effort into the background story, I like it. Well, I've got a lot of free time and I need to play mafia, and you were right, it really doesn't seem to be very space opera-like. In fact, the setting sounds pretty cool. 1) I've played a total of 9 games up to now, beginning with Eurodina and ending with Jedi Temple. You can have a look at all of them in my profile (except for Jedi Temple, which I'm going to update soon). I've survived none of them. 2) Space. Hard to describe. It's big, and similar to water, just three-dimensional and entirely different. Full of stars, and I think, it's full of radiation, too, from all them stars. And it's got lots of other stuff in it. It's pretty messy. And it's space-y, too. 3) That's hard. Huh. Should have read 1984 about that one, I guess. I didn't do so, though, so I'll just go on and say 4.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Peanuts replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
"Great" or "cool" are completely subjective terms. Everyone can decide for themselves if they like the figures, and I myself will withhold my judgement until I've seen any pictures. And of course there calling it great, it's marketing! Everyone who sells a product will tell you it's great or at least good, because, well, they want to sell it. And I'm convinced that LEGO aren't lying, because if they didn't like their own series, they'd take other figures. It's not like they're limited or bound to something. And I entirely fail to comprehend how ambiguous translations tell us anything about the quality of the figures/series as a whole? And about lego getting rid of these things you mentioned, that's wrong. Cloud City for example was sold out, so there was no getting rid. They kept the successful SW license, though. And the builidings, too, have gone far more expensive now that they don't produce them anymore, sure, but they didn't get rid of it. First you complain about repetitions, and then you blame them for not producing sets anymore which sold well? That doesn't make any sense. They also remade Batman, for example. And why would any company on the whole world want to get rid of something that sells good, just to annoy their customers? -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Hm, that's actually not much to go on, but...Centurion, Centurion, Centurion, Centurion! Come on, Lego, please! The pirate captain looks nice, but I myself don't like golden weapons. The torso, on the other hand, is pretty cool, but it's a shame the captain doesn't seem to have one of these PotC sword holders. -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Conclusion
Peanuts replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
He had pushed for the lynch of Nightshroud, which is why I thought him to be trustable. And as a PR, you have to work together with other players in order to coordinate your night actions, so you have to trust someone, so why not the guy who just helped you a lot at killing a Sith? -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Peanuts replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
And there's Episode 2, where Dooku offers the Jedi to surrender and keep out of the war. At least at that point, I think, his goal was more to overthrow the corrupt senate than to kill the Jedi and take over the galaxy, unlike real Sith. About that scene with Anakin and Embo, it looks pretty good. I start to like Embo a lot, so I hope he's not going to die this season. -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Conclusion
Peanuts replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, congratulation to the scum team. The game might have been a bit unbalanced, and the no unvoting rule was annoying, but you played a solid game. You basically managed to convert the right people, Tammo and the SK, and then killed all the night actions and active people one by one (actually, two by two ). I myself tried to play this one game more via PMs and was slightly less active in the day thread, i.e. only talking when I had something important to talk about. Unfortunately, I the first person I talked to was converted the following night. I think that's the problem with conversions, the scum can choose who they want to play with. But kudos to Tammo, you played really well. I suspected you at some point, and told Fhomess my role and that you knew, but you killed the both of us the same night. Damn you, I'm never goin to trust you again! -
Mark Hamill already stated before AC was released that it would be his last video game, so I sincerely doubt the Joker will come back I'll stay excited for part 3, though
-
Shucks, I hate dying But it was a really fun game while it lasted, Masked and K-Nut. Bit slow, but fun. I'm sure to follow the rest of the game as well

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Four
Peanuts replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, according to Ki-Adi Mundi my vote won't change anything anymore, but I'll vote: Euna (Jedi Master Brick) anyway. I think I already stated why I think this is the best course of action, and she hasn't been of any use at all.
