One of my other hobbies besides LEGO are mainly music. Composing, remixing, DJing etc. But thats not all, here are some more examples - Close up magic, mostly perform at parties I go to. Some people think I'm a wizard doing black magic, but its only great illusions - Electronics, working as electronics engineer - Programming robotics - Cooking

Musical talented? Of course! I've been playing synth/piano/keyboard for 15 years now. 5 years ago I also started DJing. It's mostly EDM that I work with. I have also started producing own music and making remixes and covers. Music is important part of my life Here is some examples of my recordings: https://soundcloud.com/Jaxne

Yesterday I got the set 60042. Really nice design of the police car :) Maybe I should use that design for some more cars to my planed city!

Which programming environment is recommended to set up for programming in C/C++ or C# using Mac OS X? Monobrick seems like an interesting choice even if I'm more used to program in C/C++. But when I start reading about how to set up it seems like I need wifi. Anyone using this who can tell if I really need wifi using Monobrick? Or maybe have ideas for other environments for OS X.

Fun idea To bad you have to clean all LEGO after usage like this -

Before I saw the prototypes I thought it was sensors needed for this, but it really is a great solution -

Hi, My name is Kristofer Jaxne and I live in Sweden. I'm 26 years old and my dark ages ended earlier this year. It was a colleague I had that introduced me for the AFOL community in Sweden, Swebrick. I have never thought that the LEGO AFOL community was so extensive as I then found out. As a kid LEGO was my favorite toy, so LEGO have always been close to my heart. I must have been at least 16 years old when my dark ages started, because the last set I bought before was the Back-hoe Loader (Backhoe) 8455 from 2003. Because of my big interest in LEGO as a child there was no need for convincing when my colleague talked about LEGO AFOL community, I knew from the beginning that it was something for me to join. My LEGO have just been on the attic waiting for the right moment to be used again. The themes in LEGO that i prefer is Mindstorms/Technic and City/Town. Since I always have been interested in electronics and technology, Mindstorms robot programming is something for me that I like much. I have several ideas on advanced robots that I plan to build in the future (and of course show here) in my mind. I have recently get the EV3 and just started using it. As a child I had the RCX and did some simple projects, but I always felt that the Labview program was to simple to do anything advanced. But when I found out about NQC I was in the beginning of my dark ages and didn't had the time to learn using it. Now with EV3 I hope to find some way to use C/C++ and build all projects I have dreamed of. As a child I was also dreaming of building a huge town in only LEGO, so therefor City is another favorite theme. The modular houses are also perfect for this! I just wait until I have enough space for a LEGO town now. City theme is also great for stop motion movies. I really love stop motion movies! Growing up with Pingu and Wallace & Gromit I know its possibilities. When I saw some videos with stop motion using LEGO I realize that I also can do something with this! Besides LEGO I'm also interested in model trains. Due to the need of space to do the model railway I want and the usage of all tools that not fits good in an apartment, I don't have any model railway build up right now. I have some trains and rails in N scale, 1:160, but I'm not using it right now. My interest of building cities and landscape can then more easily conform to LEGO instead where there is no need for building with tools, glue, coloring and so on. Unfortunately LEGO is not my main interest and passion in my life, but it's in a close second place and have almost as much room in my heart as my passion, music. I have been playing synth and piano for more than 15 years and have now started composing own music as well. I have also been DJing for some years now. When I produce own music it's mostly EDM, electronic dance music, and Trance is the genre I like the most. The label Armada Music (co-founded by Armin van Buuren) is a great source of inspirations and music for my DJing. But I have been mixing very various styles as a DJ on weddings, 80s party, school prom etc. where they want different music. Thats no problem for me with a wide taste in music. I also do live performance playing own music and covers. In the live performance I use different synths and drum machines both hardware and software. If you want to listen to my music and see videos, here are my Youtube channel (jaxnemusic) and my Soundcloud (jaxne). I'm also a part of the DJ group Group Number One. My dream is to make my living on the music. Now days I work as an engineering consultant in electronics. Most of my time as consultant I have been working at Ericsson. I have been working as fault tracer and educated in fault tracing techniques. Now I work with test development. But one day I hope making more money with my DJing and producing so I can build with LEGO during the days, and mix or produce music during the evnings/nights :)

I have recently started building with Technic again and are new to the PF-system and Mindstorms EV3. I haven't been building the last 10 years since I was a teenager using Mindstorms RCX and motors and 9 V analog electronics. I have now bought EV3 and some technic kits with PF M motors. My plan is to build some advanced robot using this but there is one problem. I want to use one output on the EV3 to control switching on/off the PF-motors with own power supply. It will be several motors that are on/off at the same time driving different things with copnstant speed, so I only need one control signal for on and off for all these. I want to save outputs and don't want to use one output per motor, and I also not want the battery in EV3 to drive to many motors. Is this possible with some LEGO parts or do I need to build some own switch for this? Construction an own switch will be no problem if I found more specifications of the outputs on the EV3 (I'm an electronics engineer), but I want to use only LEGO as much as possible. Is the only way to drive one motor per output on the EV3 using some EV3 to PF converter? (I think I have seen this, but can't remember the part number). Or do anyone have some better recommendations for me?
