Only open them if they squize like a mouse. Some 12v motors do run slowly then others, but cleaning inside them won't make them faster. I have 12v system for almost 10 years and have to see the first 12v motor worn out sleepers on the motors. The 12v system is a hard system to let it run smoothly. Clean the innertrack well with alcohol or benzine. It's clean when the cloth (which you clean it dipped in alcohol or benzine) doesn't get dirty anymore. Same for the sleepers under the 12v motors. Then let a track with 2x 12vmotor connected with a wire to eachother (like train 7740 of 7755) run a few laps on the track. Then single 12v motors won't have difficulty to run smoothly
Last year I bought the 4th edition of Hogwarts. It will be a hard to place it into my layout of Hogwarts ground. Pictures will follow when it's placed.
Want I wanted to share is the 2 different Dementors next to each other.
Without cape:
Just bought set 7285. I love those 4wide cars and German Shepherds. Only those wheels aren't good for the looks.
I replaced , by part for a better look.
This is the original design of LEGO itself:
And the modified version of myself:
Looks good to see those 4 big houses in one layout. And that emerald train is the set which belows to the houses of lego.
To mine opinion the church can be a little bigger. It looks so small compared with those 4 houses. Even the emerald looks awesome big. You have more pic's of your church? It looks a good design form that pic.
I realized later, de 13v is alternating current electricity and the 12v is direct current electricity. That's why the 12v won't work and can damage the 12 motors.
What you mean the power the cleaning unit at 13AC?
Never use 13v, the motors wouldn't like that. That 1 volt is that horrible......
Clean the innertrack with alcohol or wasbenzine (don't know the proper english word for it). I use a train with 2x 12v motor connected with a wire. In that way the train has 4 connecting points with the inner track. I let run these train a little time and then the single motors will tun also fine. But it's important, you clean the innertrack and the connecting points of the motor itself.
Finally a green Lego Panda . Green color is not the most common color. You can see the real model a post before.
Many thx for the person who designed this model, found it somewhere at brickshelf. Can this person also make a model of a Renault Twingo for me ...........
A good review, only I think the set is very poor. It's easy and using big parts. The bike itself looks good, but this is only the good part of the set.
I do like egypt theme, but those new sets...........
12v has its own disavantages. You need to clean the 12v track regulary and the tires on the 12v motors can be wear out. And you need a lot of wires to connect everything, which is a nightmare sometimes. I think I have around used 25 metre of wire.
What I like the most, is that you can separate parts of the shop. Very easy for transports at meeting. And the using of detail is high, I'loving it. Hmmmmm, I would like a hamburger now .
Parts are arrived and this is the final design. It isn't tested yet, haven't got the time for it .
Here the bottom view:
Here a pic of the train itself, which almost look like the orginal design. Only modified for 12v.
I have added a movie of the flashing lights of the vestas windmill. I have kept it a bit dark, otherwise you won't see it flashing.
You need Quicktime installed to view the movie and downloading can take some time.
Movie of flashing lights.
Here all the pic's of the windmill
