Add a petrol V12 to the train and it goes like a racecar . Make sure the big wheels are turning exactly the same. A pic says more than 1000 words: The wheels need to turn very easily, so make sure the wheels ain't to tight to the brick where the axel goes.

Looks very good, now the real stuff. I mean build it for real and place it in your layout .

The first one is a manual switch, it means by hand. The second one is an elec, switch. You need wire and a control to switch it over. The first one is used for points to choose which track the train have to go.The second control is used by crossovers, like set 7866. Those controls are working differently. That's what this forum for . You collect also 12v trains form the grey area?

LEGO Train 12 Volts Episode II
BillytheKid replied to LEGO Train 12 Volts's topic in LEGO Train Tech
For the 12v system I use 4 speedregulators. One is used to power all switches. The other 3 are used to power the trains. I've split my layout in 3 sections. The bridge (which still need to be build) will be powered by one speedregulator and the tracks which is connected to the bridge are connected seperatly. The 9v system is powered by one speedregulator. The sante fe train (with 2 motors and 3 wagons) is actually to heavy, it runs slowly. I used another speedregulator to connect the 9v switches, 9v battery miniland sets and offcourse the vestas windmill And for the wires, where you have also hard time with it, I solved it by using elecpoles to support the wires. Only it's a lot of wires, which makes me crazy . -

Indeed, it's very expensive. Mine collection is based on 5 years of collecting the parts I needed. Don't expect to have a huge collection in a short time. -

What a wonderfull sight to see a huge 12v layout like this. -
Yes, no matter how good it's lubricated. At the long end, 12v will loose......... It won't be without a fight .
-
No, it's the vestas windmill 4999. Only I've connected mine at an 9v trainregulator and it has flashing light at the top.
-
How cool is this for a AFOL : It has 2GB of storage. Enough music for mine parrot radio, which has no CDplayer anymore :
-
Well I have a few, they won't run faster after lubricated. How you explain that?

Looks very good. Now is the emerald already impressive, but you made the big boy awesome impressive. Have you also pic's when your big boy takes curves? That's the real challenge of legotrains.

Maybe an old one, but I build a big parrot. Just wanted to share it with you people.

Too many doubleHP minifigs. Even Voldemort is doubled now..... This pic show you which HP minifigs I have already. Even Voldemort would be jealous if he knows how many times Harry Potter is present in my town .
-
It's normal. If it's too slow and/or makes noise, time to get it open and clean it. But it isn't a garanty it works perfectly again.
-
Put an 12v motor in it .
-
I like the design. Only bad the stickers isn't form lego itself. Keep on the good work.
-
WOW Some much details, really a party to look at it. And very nice you used the same minifigs like a family to show all of your moc.
-
Always the classic problem, too less space to make a proper layout . You have a good feeling to make a nice layout, only I miss some details. Some minifigs don't have hair and you used colors that doesn't always match, like the trainstation. Maybe you working on that, I don't know. And your metroliner isn't complete, I miss the small antenna on it. Overall, I like those 2 churches you made in your town, they're nice and small. Keep up the good work .

REVIEW: 9349 Fairytale and Historic Minifigures

Looks like a great set to me. -
Change partby part , which give the car a more realistic look. In Holland is forbidden that wheels come out the car like this .
-
That will be a hard thing to show, but I will try. Give me some time.......
-
You need to use only your hands to use force at the wheels to crack it open somewhere on the coners. With 1 small strong srewdriver you can wrick the bottom open. When open, clean also the sleepers under and above. Also the contacts in the inner parts of the 12v motor. Be very careful with the moving part of the motor itself, this break easily. Only use some copper'vet'(kopervet in english?) on the gears. Glue the plastic parts with glue which won't melt the parts together. You might to want to get it open again someday......... I like the idea of that wagon, which clean the inner track. A next moc for the few days........
