  1. Wait, 5? So far we have Simon Baz, Sinestro, Stargirl, and Metamorpho. Where was the 5th one revealed?
  2. Here's hoping that Lego is just waiting to see how well this series sells so that if they do a Series 2, it'll be bumped to 20.
  3. They change the box art to represent which character is the hero of the set. Look at the Captain Marvel set and then the Endgame set boxes.
  4. I'm willing to bet that it's Doctor Fate.
  5. Well that was faster than I expected. I didn't expect to get actual leaked pictures of the figures until October. They all look fantastic. Simon is going to be a great compliment to the Jessica Cruz minifigure from last year, but the best part hands down has to be his accessories. The new lantern Power Battery mould is a great step up from the brick built one (it better come in other colors in the future), and we're FINALLY getting that translucent accessory holder in green with a printed lantern logo tile. Now I can finally stop using a green stud as a replacement ring. Sinestro in his classic suit is a surprise, though it makes sense since we already got the Sinestro Corps version so it was either this version of him or when he was a Green Lantern that were left. I'm holding out hope that he comes with a yellow Power Battery as an accessory or at least a yellow power ring. Metamorpho is looking good as well, that translucent leg being the standout piece.
  6. Well this doesn't sound too bad, as long as "obscure characters/variants" aren't either Golden Age villains that have only appeared once in a comic, or variants that aren't stupid inclusions like beach wear. Hopefully Mad Hatter or the Ventriloquist fall under the obscure category and Batman Beyond under the variant.
  7. Might as well throw in the hope of getting a new Cyborg that resembles the 2003 cartoon version as well in order to complete the team that was started in the Jokerland set.
  8. Who would also be a great choice for a spot in the CMF series IMO. He's the last in the main lineup of villains from the original Lego Batman videogame (he was part of Joker's group) to STILL not be given an actual minifigure to this day. Hell, he was one of the few more notable Batman enemies to be excluded entirely from both the actual The Lego Batman Movie, the numerous sets AND the 2 CMF series. Unless Lego is willing to make some sort of Alice in Wonderland inspired set with him and Batman in it, or have him be paired with another villain in a set (which seems unlikely to me judging by how they've ignored him since 2006) then there's no better place for him to be than in the CMF's. I wouldn't even mind if Lego just made the version from the first game in minifigure form, since they TT Games continued to use that same design all the way up till Lego Batman 3. And while we're at it, give the Ventriloquist a spot in there as well. I doubt he'll show up in an set anytime soon and that way, we can finally get a completely new Scarface piece for him to hold.
  9. I wouldn't mind a comics Black Panther at all. His design, though really simplistic, was always cool looking to me. Bonus points if his minifigure includes a cape as well. And I'm glad that Lego is finally making a Black Panther head with actual white eyes this time instead of making them lime/blue or giving him no eye lenses at all like his 3 MCU minifigures. Though I kind of wish that they would've given him a Batman-like cowl piece that his comics minifigure version was given in the first Lego Marvel Superheroes game instead of resorting to the Darth Maul method that was used on the MCU Panthers:
  10. Probably my most anticipated movie for 2021. I've been waiting for that movie since Ben Affleck was still attached to direct and star. While it's a bummer he ended up dropping out completely and we won't see his Batman face off against Deathstroke, what Matt has been cooking up so far sounds like a live action version of The Long Halloween, my all-time favorite Batman story. I can't wait to see what the designs will be like as well, perfect material for stuff like a new Batmobile or Batcave set. And thanks! I try my best, it's nice to see that I have such a longtime follower on here.
  11. 100%. Though I still don't know why Shazam never got a single set, and Birds Of Prey won't be getting any sets either because of their R-rating (though I'll bet Wonder Woman 1984 might get at least 1 tie-in set like the first movie), a Batman movie is a completely different matter. Considering he's Lego and DC's golden boy. I have no doubt that they will at the very least make a minifigure of whatever Pattinson's Batsuit will look like and put that in a set. I know that after how the Justice League sets sold horribly, Lego might be a little cautious about releasing multiple DCEU sets again. But from the way that The Batman is allegedly shaping up to sound with 6 villains, it's prime set material.
  12. Fair enough, I had a feeling I would've been destroyed if I said Killer Moth's name directly.
  13. We did get two other DC Series before with TLBM CMF's, but I feel like this could be the first opportunity to get actual proper comic versions of highly requested characters that people have been asking for for years. And IMO, while we did get a lot with the previous two Batman Movie waves, 15 out of 40 of the figures were joke/beach variants with the rest being either Silver Age depictions/Superfriends characters and C/D-list villains. Only a handful of the characters in both waves could work in a modern setting with the regular DC Superheroes sets (Hugo Strange and Red Hood come to mind). Maybe this is how I'll finally be able to get a updated Hush Batsuit, Hush, Rebirth Nightwing, Mad Hatter, or even Kid Flash, just to name a few.
  14. If anyone else follows mini_legogo on Instagram and checks his Story updates, then you've probably just seen the bombshell he dropped. "71026 will release at January 2020. BTW it's CMF. Licensed series. DC MINIFIGURES SERIES."
  15. Side-note from all this D2C Batvehicle discourse, but it astounds me how much I've been seeing the The Dark Knight of Gotham City SDCC "exclusive" selling for $200-$300 on average on eBay in the past few days. Do these people not realize that they're literally wasting hundreds of dollars, with the only exclusive things about it being the box and a tile piece that may/may not be a sticker?
  16. I just hope this D2C Batvehicle doesn't go the way of that 76121 Shazam movie set that people on Instagram claimed was coming, but turned out to not even be a thing in the first place.
  17. Huh, looks like this year broke the trend of having CW DC characters as the exclusive minifigures since 2015. I'm just glad it wasn't a minifigure that would drive me insane if it was SDCC exclusive like a movie Shazam or even worse, First Appearance Batman. This is easily skippable for me, especially since it was based on a one-off story from Batman's weird Silver Age days in the 50s. Though this would fit perfectly with the Zebra Man figure from The Lego Batman Movie sets.
  18. I find it funny though that Lego decided to stick with using the classic suit to represent comic Superman for 7 years (it was already outdated when the line started due to the New 52 suit appearing in 2011) and it managed to last long enough through 3 different trunkless Superman designs, only for the writers at DC to ultimately bring the classic suit back in 2018, making the minifigure that was once outdated between 2012-2017 be up-to-date again.
  19. This might just be the best SDCC exclusive we've had in a few years. A great diorama display piece with lots of little details like translucent yellow pieces to simulate lights in buildings, a water tower, and a great gargoyle piece that'll actually fit Batman on top of it. And the best part is that nothing is exclusive about it except for a sticker. Though I really want to know how just how many black suit Batman torsos Lego has available for them to STILL be using it up to this year. That torso print has been in use since 2012 in multiple set waves, and it still has yet to be retired. While I'm really glad they decided to use that version instead of having the Batman minifigure be an exclusive variant like a First Appearance Batsuit, seeing that black suit design at this point almost makes me want for Lego to bring back the grey suit with the yellow oval torso that was introduced in the very first wave of DC sets, used for two Juniors Batman sets, and was then never used again (or maybe finally make an updated Hush Batsuit for the winter wave, please).
  20. Huh, I didn't expect to get actual confirmation from the set designer that it was indeed a scaled down version of the 2006 UCS set. Nice to see that some of the designers still remember the original Lego Batman line. And about the Rebirth Batmobile, I don't think it's based on the Burtonmobile at all. It looks exactly like The Animated Series Batmobile but with a few small changes to that design, the biggest one being a bat face shield on the front instead of a grill.
  21. Well the good news is that if you wanted a giant dinosaur for your Batcave, the new Jurassic Park T-Rex D2C set is perfect (though it might be a little oversized). Just remake it entirely with green pieces and you're all set.
  22. Sweet, thank you so much! I might just have to get this set for the stickers alone, that Joker card and penny piece would fit well with my 2006 Batcave. And adding the Batwing in really makes it look more complete as well.
  23. @Lego-Freak Could you also happen to post some pictures of what the trophies look like, and how the Batwing looks when it's in the docking area section of the Batcave?
  24. So looks like my only incentive for that Batwing set is now just Gordon. On the one hand, it's great that the polybag actually gave him hair instead of the hood and keeping him bald. But this could've been a perfect (and last) opportunity to make a DCEU version like the one from the game, seeing as how those "leaks" about getting a movie set turned out to be a huge lie...
  25. I'd say the original Lego Batman series and Indiana Jones could fit into this niche as well. While the sets never outright said it, Lego basically made Nazi minifigures and scenes from the movies that were definitely not suited for kids (7623 Temple Escape set, for example). The first Lego Batman theme, while not hardcore mature, was definitely a more mature take than what we have today with the current DC line. The sets were darker in color and design, and the minifigures themselves seemed to be based on Batman: The Animated Series than any of the more kid friendly Batman cartoons that were on at the time around 2006. Batman himself was much more serious as well, acting much more like his comics self instead of the self-parody that he is in the Lego Movie 1/2/TLBM. This line was also the one that introduced two new types of gun pieces. The villains weren't carrying silly Alien Conquest blasters (which are still used today in some Superheroes sets), almost every set included a very realistic tommy gun and pistol piece, so they were packing heat.
