The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Robianco replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe little versions of the images can be added to the first post to keep that up to date. I'm glad there's at least another way to pick up Robin so it can be converted to Carrie Kelly. Bart's catapult is already waiting. Is the Excalibur Batman something that is exclusive to the LBM or has it appeared in any of the games so far? Also... does this mean that the Excalibur Batman will be exclusive to this Dimensions set? -
Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

Thanks for that. Every single version of the figure I've seen has had a slight gap at the top of the right breast plate where the mesh pattern doesn't reach the black outline. I'm not sure if they've missed a small chink of the pattern off or if they've just printed it slightly wrong. -

If for some reason these aren't allowed to be shared please delete. They're being used in press about the packs so I'd assume they've been circulated officially and are then OK to use? -

Hothbricks have that image on their feed at the moment. Is there a reason it couldn't be posted here? -

I remember seeing a custom of the 8bit Batman but I can't remember if it was hand done or if it was PPM on eBay. I really hope they do d good job of Flashpoint Batman especially as FigNation have decided to finish the Arkham Trilogy of figures rather than make that one. The other two look soft... probably too much detail on the third one along. Let's see if DLP print the flesh beck area rather than just make it grey like the SY version was. Can't see properly whether they've cloned Phoenix Customs Superman there or made a copy of Lego's New 52 design. Lego's version doesn't have leg print whereas PC's does. Red Son has boot detailing which tells me it's a copy of the OLS version rather than Mnap's. It's also printed dark grey where I think Mnap's is Sand Blue. Not sure what the last version is. KF figures tend to be the single sale DLP ones. I think this will be worth picking up as a set though. -
Not yet... but it's on presale and will probably be shipping soon. Even with many of them being available I still don't think an original 10179 will drop in value because of it. It's the use of the rigging parts, radar dish and levers where studs are hidden or don't exist that may cause an issue with people selling the rigging and levers as a cheaper alternative. Those three parts along with the yellow technic beams and sticker come to a combined cost of £800 + shipping on BL. It's the secondary market on those parts that might take a hit but not a complete 10179 itself.

This looks great. Studless can work great on MOCs and this is a fantastic example of how to achieve it on such a large scale build... specially one that has so many curves thought it. I don't see Lego replicating this though... they've always maintained that the stud is integral to who they are and should always be visible. Great work on this anyway.... It's definitely something I'd consider if I were to ever BL a 10179 of my own.

I own the original Haunted House which I bought at a reduced amount thanks to a Christmas promotion shortly before it retired. I love the set and even though it's been broken down again and placed in bags back into it's box I've never looked at the resale value as I'm simply not selling it. I do think that genuine Lego sets will probably keep their value... I really don't see 10179 dropping in price because Lepin has cloned it. There will obviously be a cheaper version available to buy on the market but I think if someone is looking at a £150 replica then a £1200 original probably isn't in their thinking. Same with Custom minifigures... or genuine ones for that matter. There are plenty of clones of SDCC figures but genuine figures don't drop in value. The original will always hold it's value... and I think the same for Lego sets such as the modulars. While you can probably pick up the entire modular range from Lepin for less than a genuine Green Grocer that will appeal to some... and to be honest, from what I've seen though images they look great. But it won't be genuine Lego and that's where the value is. I'd never give up on a hobby I enjoyed just because someone was bootlegging it. This community is just one of many that show how much love there is for Lego as a product and toy... Having some cheaper cones of those products won't change that.

21306: The Beatles Yellow Submarine (LEGO Ideas)

Have people actually watched the Yellow Submarine? If they'd produced figures which were the normal human design style like that of SuperHeroes or Star Wars they wouldn't work at all for the subject matter. -

Those figures are exactly as I'd hope a Yellow Submarine figure set to look like. I imagine if they did a 60s cartoon set they'd look odd to some also. Definite day one purchase for me. -
I wouldn't worry about a Lego employee, or several, not knowing about a promotion and it actually happening. Some of them don't know from one day to the next what they're getting in. I'm assuming it's 5 of the promo polybag from back in May that will be available? I got Revan when he was around a few years ago so 5 of those poly bags are actually more useful to me so fingers crossed.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

I've got an order for two of them from Pogo in the hopes of getting a good one there but I know that if SY made it then it'd be perfect. I'd love SY to get back into minifigures as nobody comes close to them when they get it right... except possibly DLP when they're at their best. -

It's a start. Getting SY back into the minifigure game. Even if that's 7 existing figures with one new but it leads to another new set which might include an SDCC Cap then I'll be very happy. -
There was an event down in Windsor a year or so ago but I couldn't make it... I'm not helped by the fact my wife HATES Lego. It's nothing more than a floor hazard to her. Hopefully next time it swings around to the UK I'll get to go. It's always worth checking out the Events Forum

Yeah... I was really happy with mine when it arrived. The finish is a little matt on it but generally I've got to issues with it. -

Is that the Pogo version? I think I picked one of those up a while ago. White suit with black pinstripe? -

I'm now racking my brain for where I saw these and I think I may have got things mixed up. I had a claw that I used for my Black Panther NACM figure which I think I got from Brickforge: https://www.brickforge.com/image.php?type=W&id=2566 I think I've mixed that up with the Ammo Clip from Brickarms: http://www.brickarms.com/assets/img/AmmoClip_Gallery_3.jpg And between them I've pictured the image as shown. Apologies, chaps... I think I've made a mistake there. -

Careful everyone... he's planning something... -
The licensed and Star Wars forums will always be the biggest challenge for moderation on this site... and I think specifically the meaning of 'rumour' and how it's discussed. I've always thought the best way of validating a rumour is by knowing the source for it. If there's no source then it's not a rumour... it's a guess. The age issue is also a challenge on those particular threads. The assumption of adulthood due to site guidelines should help how conversations develop but unfortunately it's not always the case. The worst thing is I don't think it's going to remedy itself anytime soon. Those threads will always be a challenge to whichever mods are looking after them or and the wider staff in support. There was a case in the SW forum where one new member really threw his toys out of the pram because he felt nobody cared about why the TFA sets hadn't leaked as much as he did and left a message on his profile stating that he's never coming back... two weeks later when the sets were revealed he came back and has been an active member of the community since. The written word is a difficult thing to read at times... there is no tone of voice (other than caps, bold or italic but you get my meaning) and as we don't know each other personally we can take umbrage at something which isn't there... or let frustrations get the better of us and escalate a conversation to an argument when we'd never let that happen if we were face to face with the person. Part of me just wants to have a pint with some of the people here and break down some of the perceptions of how people are. It's 9.55 am here in Liverpool. Is it too early for a pint?

That's exactly the figure I meant. Yeah... I didn't pick up Jay Garrick myself so I'll keep looking. It'll be the only Christo Flash I don't have. I can't believe how much that Green Lantern is going for. -

After that I can't really see how far he can take it. He's done seven standard Flash figures starting with those based on the Lego game. He's done New 52 Flash which compliments the official Lego figure. He's done Jay Garrick and Flash Rival and now he's done CW Flash and Zoom. After Reverse Flash I'm not sure whether he'd go for CW Jay Garrick or not. -

Bat mite should be a relatively simple figure to copy once they get the helmet mould right.
