With Akbar being in a recent TFA set I somehow don't think he'll appear in an OT set so soon afterwards. Nien Nunb is a different thing altogether. I think the inclusion of someone like that would fit nicely as a crossover to a missing TFA figure int eh same way that the Imperial Protocol Droid and Ithorian Jedi were perfect for the Cantina and Sandcrawler sets.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
The fact that those are SY should be a very positive thing. Batman variant, Flash (hopefully with decent boot print on the legs), Superman (New 52, Injustice or BvS variant) and Atom. They could be nice. Looks like Beat (First Class Variant), Cyclops, Quicksilver and Nightcrawler. I'll happily have SY or DLP making 8 figure sets with silly little builds if it means they're doing them more regularly. -
Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Yeah. That's a complete copy of Phoenix Customs Indestructible Hero figure. They've not done that bad a job of copying it but the head is awful and the leg print makes the boots a little too low. They've copied OLS' Red Son Superman too. I've ordered it just for two of the Batman figures but I'll see what the quality is like once they're in hand. -
True... but it's at least possible. With the range of media they'll be covering it's not something that would take much to introduce... especially if it's working with a 'Luthor,.

Force Friday (30th September) promotions

If you mean Bricks and Pieces then the Missing Bricks part will always show items like that are in stock but its meant for use if they were MISSING from your set. If you've used it to order extra ones (and continue to do so) then you'll quickly get your account flagged and, heaven forbid, if something is ever missing from a set you probably won't get it sent out. The 'Buy Bricks' button at the bottom of that page is the thing you should use if buying extras... not the Missing Bricks part. -
The future of StarWars media expansion and collecting.
Robianco replied to RetroInferno's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'll always stick to the OT with regards to collecting. I reserved judgement on the Sequels until I'd watched TFA and I enjoyed it and liked the characters so I picked up some of those sets. With Rogue One I'll also reserve judgement on those until I see it and again, if I like the characters I'll pick up the sets. I got the AT-ST as it's basically an OT set anyway. I also liked the characters in Rebels so I picked up the Ghost and Phantom along with various figures and also now picked up Vader's TIE and A-Wing... again because they're basically OT sets. Thrawn being included is now a must for that set. I'll probably go that way for most of the remaining media etc as it comes out... watch it... if I like it and I like the characters then I'll pick them up. I really didn't like how the characters came across in the PT so I've never felt the need to own any of the Jedi from there or clones for that matter. In fact Ahsoka is probably my favourite character from the PT/Clone Wars but I still haven't picked up the new figure. I also don't like the styling of the CW figures but I liked Asajj Ventress as a character so I picked up that figure (but not the Jedi Interceptor set) when they brought out the set last year. -
75159 Death Star and 75153 AT-ST.

I must admit... I've got to ask if there's a reason each of these is just a range of bootleg figures photographed on Dimensions bases? Even if you wanted to start a thread about potential Dimensions sets to get a conversation going at least post the actual Lego figures or some purist customs.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Any chance of some higher resolution shots of these figures? Maybe individually? I'd love to see some really detailed images of these. That Arkham Knight torso looks like it'd go great with the Xinh(?) headpiece for that. -
Even if it takes up most of your budget I'd recommend Slave 1 as it's a great set and is minifigure scale. As an OT fan you've now also got the option of picking up the AT-ST from Rogue One. Those two sets would cost you £210 so there'd still be a little wiggle room for something else. Alternatively you could get the Shuttle Tydirium which is really nice. There's also Vader's TIE v A-Wing. The Slave 1 and Tydirium sets would be bang on your £250 budget.

The price isn't meant to be £3.89 each is it? I may have misread something but I can't see that price being right -

That's very possible. I'd just not heard anything in the UK. I think the last couple of polys at TRU in the UK have also shown up on the website. -

I've not heard anything about a General poly in the UK. Just the First Order Trooper poly at the Lego store with any SW purchase. Was the General poly confirmed by anyone? -

I for one am VERY interested how you find it. This may sway me on whether I pick one up. I'd like you to be brutally honest about the quality of the parts... especially the yellow technic bricks, the light bley levers, the rigging and the dish (as well as the print on that). -

I know the Lego Liverpool store has triple points on Star Wars items today and purchases include one of the First Order Stormtrooper polys... not 5. -
Except of course that from 1949 to around 1965, Kryptonite appeared in Green, Red, Blue, White, Gold, Silver and a variety of other colours and all with differing properties. They could easily be kryptonite.

I'm not entirely sure of which ones you mean but I know I've ordered from BrickForge in the US and had them shipped to the UK. I got a few custom SW items that way. You can always order from Lapetitebrique but I find their prices quite high and their shipping is also high which makes it slightly quicker but ultimately more expensive than ordering direct from the US. Firestar Toys have a range of custom weapons. I'd just search for BrickArms or BrickForge customs in mainland Europe and see how you get on. BrickArms DL-44 and E-11 are superb as it's Brickforge's headhunter Quick Shot (Fett's Carbine) -
History behind Marvel and DC licenses?
Robianco replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in LEGO Licensed
Both Marvel and DC have had crossover events before and there have been writers and artists that have worked for both (although maybe not at the same time) so it wouldn't be a complete first. They're rivals but I think as far as the comics go there a healthy respect for each other. Batman has appeared with Punisher, Captain America and Daredevil while the JLA have appeared alongside the Avengers. They can't hate each other that much. I'd also be interested to know how licenses lapse or are lost and how the negotiations to get both DC and Marvel happened. Maybe one of them just didn't want the other to have a full line of toys so they agreed. Let's be honest... you don't want DC to have a full line made by Lego while your toys are being made by Megabloks or vice-versa. No matter how much money you make from a license surely there's a professional pride element whereby you know your toys are made by the number 2 or 3 company in the world and your competitor is made by the number one. Especially when that number one has the brand name that's associated with all brick based toys. -
I think it does. The canopy has been modified to be higher to accommodate the two piece helmet.

I think that's definitely one of the upsides to this BP (I think it's a pretty great BP anyway) but bringing the price of the Stormtrooper down on the aftermarket is a winner. I've found myself with more and more of them following the Advents for the last two years and now getting them in plentiful supply in a new BP will have the price very low indeed. Alternatively... buy lots of BPs and sell your extra Death Troopers.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Sabre tooth actually looks the best of the lot with regards to printing and alignment but his face is a little pink. The rest of them look quite bad. We all know bootlegs are only 70p or so but it's actually overpriced for some of the crap they're putting out. I know I've said it before (many times) but when people like SY or DLP get things right they can be displayed or held alongside Lego or the best customisers and don't look out of place but these look terrible. Namor is awful. Black Cat's face is terrible and her torso print looks like it was drawn with a crayon. The less said about Starlord's head the better. Why does this Moon Knight even exist? Can't they look at the game design and do that? MRM have done a superb Moon Knight with two colour print, just silver and black, on white and it's fantastic. Just pay the $20 for one and don't waste money on this abomination. Seriously... Just look at SY's copy of Phoenix Custom's Arachnid Hero. The print is amazing. DLP's Black Panther with custom helmet mould and their Spiderman UK. SY's Yellow Jacket. All of them were superb. These are terrible wave after wave of acceptable quality figures with the odd bright moment (another copy of one of Phoenix Customs figures, Spider Gwen). Even that was a case of buying two or three and keeping fingers crossed. Atom with a mix and match of two figures that, print allowing, gave you a decent figure. I remember SY doing two waves for AOU and single handedly issued 16 figures that were so close to Lego quality it was ridiculous. Minor part replacements aside they could double for the real thing. We seem to be judging things by how much Pogo or Xinh have improved when in reality their best is still below what SY, Decool and DLP were putting out 18 months ago. -

Midas and MKII in Chrome? Fine. Everything else. Terrible. The wave above that is horrific.
