  1. I did not mean that LOTR is to blame for why we do not get a Castle wave in 2026, but why it disappeared in the first place. Castle had been around since 1978, then LOTR show up and the themes predate on each other and sell too little, get cancelled and here we are The rest of your post I agree with I know Lego test sets with kids, but do they test them with adults? I only know of the disaster that ended up with all of the coming D2C sets leaked and MTS was downgraded from a premium product to a budget model
  2. Well known for sure, but how many kids read LOTR or watch the movies compared to HP? I blame LOTR for the downfall of Castle and that Lego have not tried once to release a wave of normal Castle sets in the years since is rather crazy (and not good news for a LOTR play set wave either)
  3. It looks nice, but I do not buy BDP sets
  4. They will come with the "January" parts, when they will show up is unclear at this moment, probably depends on how much backlog they have after the X-mas holiday ect. What minifigur parts that will show up is unclear, but in September they confirmed the space figs, so I assume that is still the case. Hopefully the rest with the knights also will show up. The parts that do not show up in the next part drop probably never will
  5. Will probably have some nice figs at least
  6. I am not the biggest fan of Creator 3-in-1, but it seems that is the bone we get and starting last year we can now exspect useful minifigs there at least
  7. Happy new year It do not look so promesing so far and the same goes for Lego animals A lot of set names have leaked, and City sets give not much hope for any there There are some hope with HP and the CMF, but nothing confirmed except the stag..
  8. With the stag out of the picture, I wonder what the others are. Must be new ones, but not necessarily new moulds
  9. I think the main problem with small LOTR or Castle sets etc are that they need to sell as well or preferably better than a City, Ninjago, SW, HP, Friends etc they replace in the shelf.. Even if we buy a lot of them that will not compensate if 80% of the customers do not buy them. The other themes have a proven track record or part of a big push that Lego believe in within a new theme. Lego have listened to the persived demand and started making LOTR sets again, they are selling well enough that Lego make more and branch out a little bit within the theme so all hope is not lost. Maybe if they made the sets Lego exclusive so they earn more on them and they do not need to compete in every toy store for space
  10. Hope you are right with at least one new mould How do you know? You assume it is the basilisk and a reuse from last time? Maybe Aragog is included with a new mould
  11. It's not a swindle, I exaggerated to make a point, but they try to take advantage of people that do not know there are coming a new set.. Maybe I did not make in clear, but resellers have been putting them out lately here after the set leaked so they try to get rid of them before the news spread.. You guys are right that it is very stupid economically to buy them and I would never do it. I just was a little frustrated about all the reseller ads here that makes it almost impossible to find the ads with Lego gold among all the rabble
  12. So only 1-2 sets that will include a patronus, that is less than I hoped. Hopelessly they will keep the collecting of them going over several years so we can get more animals
  13. Could look like it I agree this is a possibility, would be interesting to know what a normal series is called in a previous catalogue in that country You are probably right, but different countries even English speaking ones do not use the same words for everything.. If it is a "classic" one I hope the figs are more like beastmaster and less like the policeman in series 18. Even if I prefer a normal series for a change a "classic" one would not be the worst option. If so I hope for a native american, Castle and Pirate figs and of course some animals in the series
  14. I have not read the instruction or know if there is an official statement about this "story" in a interview etc or if it's just is people that interpret it that way, but it's possible the chair is in the trash because it got damaged in the leak
  15. Maybe, but if you try to sell it for a super high price you try to take advantage of others, here in Norway a few sellers try to sell it for the same as the new set will cost So maybe scalper is not the right word, maybe swindler is more fitting
  16. That is a good point, the building experience is very important and Lego with all their professionals at making instructions will make a much better one than most MOC builders (from what I hear this is a problem with BDP sets also). Definitely! Norway Interesting and the issues then seem to be the same with the model today
  17. Do not get any more senior than that when it comes to Modular buildings, @Sammael I have not built the last few modulars so must go on pictures only so far, but you probably have some good points in your summary. However it was probably not the designer that decided the shape of the modular he probably just got the concept model and had to work with that.. I hear it goes well with the modular street since it is different in shape to a lot of them and it is the first one with pigeons so not all bad
  18. Me too, we did not get the kitten last year so worried we do not get the pigeon this year
  19. From what theme is it supposed to be? Have not seen it yet
  20. 6502953 that came in the Burrow
  21. Up at Jay's now, maybe they have saved it for new years eve https://jaysbrickblog.com/reviews/review-lego-11371-shopping-street-modular/ Regarding the designer: "The model designer of this set is Đặng Hoàng (@know.your.pieces on Instagram), one of my favourite new-ish LEGO designers. Among other things, he designed the Retro Radio, a fantastically unassuming model, and was also responsible for developing the functions for 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine among other things."
  22. Yes I agree, got the impression no one had done it, but when I think about it I have seen some others Maybe they have done those before or the person doing the modular have not have time, taken a Xmas holiday or been out with the flue etc. I am sure it will show up one day
  23. If they are in LAN they get them directly from Lego I assume?! Non LAN members must buy the sets like the rest of us before they can review them, some of them might get hold of set that was stolen or sold to early etc and publish a review before everyone else.. It depends on what deadline they have gotten from Lego, they are not allowed to publish a review before a certain date/time..
  24. It is different designers on all 3 sets I think, but the ones they put on this is probably up to the task
