Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Roebuck replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Up at Jay's now, maybe they have saved it for new years eve https://jaysbrickblog.com/reviews/review-lego-11371-shopping-street-modular/ Regarding the designer: "The model designer of this set is Đặng Hoàng (@know.your.pieces on Instagram), one of my favourite new-ish LEGO designers. Among other things, he designed the Retro Radio, a fantastically unassuming model, and was also responsible for developing the functions for 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine among other things." -

Yes I agree, got the impression no one had done it, but when I think about it I have seen some others Maybe they have done those before or the person doing the modular have not have time, taken a Xmas holiday or been out with the flue etc. I am sure it will show up one day -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

If they are in LAN they get them directly from Lego I assume?! Non LAN members must buy the sets like the rest of us before they can review them, some of them might get hold of set that was stolen or sold to early etc and publish a review before everyone else.. It depends on what deadline they have gotten from Lego, they are not allowed to publish a review before a certain date/time.. -
It is different designers on all 3 sets I think, but the ones they put on this is probably up to the task
-
If we where following the classic set every 3 years of Pirates, Space and Castle, we should have gotten a new Pirate set this year, but it do not seem promising, it do not look like the latest sets have sold to well since they retire early. Would be really unfortunate it Lego with their huge portfolio of different sets do not have room for a retro set from a classic team every year

I would say no way! They do not mix minifig and minidoll animals for a reason and while that mould is "strictly" a minifig animal it has the character of a minidoll animal based on a cartoon character and look nothing like a real deer They have not used any mould budget for a new patronus yet and with it being a new collectible gimmick that is rather strange if we do not get something new in summer then..

Yes that is right, but I believe I have most of the second version since that showed up on PAB. They changed that only slightly from the original version that retired several years before (probably never on PAB, was that even a thing then?). They managed to keep the print "alive" after that, and we even gotten a second version of the white horse now. There is no love for the black horse that was as common as the white back in the day, not even a black foal so far. Maybe LOTR will have one some day, but they are much more stingy with horses compared to the first run.. They might pop up for 10 minutes or similar before they are sold out again, but basically they should not return to PAB unless they show up in a new set in the future Anyway Merry Xmas to all the Lego animal mould lovers in this thread

I am pretty sure it did the first time it showed up since I have a lot of them I think it's because they are only in the HP sets, if they showed up in a City set etc there would be a grater chance they would make it to PAB. I think it has more to do with Lego and less to do with the licence holders, no reason the kitten from the modular building should not show up on PAB, but nowhere to be seen Everything that is exclusive to a set, Lego will most likely use for a lever to make us buy the set instead of buying it of PAB

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sounds good to me Hopefully the take the costumed characters spot -
I hope so, and the bull apparently is the logo for farm sets so why make that and make a point out of it if they did not plan more sets in the future

It works like normal now, so what ever you did it works -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I do not care how the bonkle fig looks (will not buy it) as long as it is something the fans hopefully like and the rest of the series is a normal one However a minifig makes most sense even if we can not be sure after F1 -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 29. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I hope for a normal series with a few animals, a castle fig, pirate fig maybe or hopefully a naive American since it has been a while. in short something for everyone after 3 specialised series in a row.. Do not mind one bonkle fig in that series if that is something the fans of that would like to see -

What do that even mean? Bonkle fans want the old figs right? not a minifig or a buildable fig made of normal parts, right?! -
The parrot is a updated mould, however not new in that set

Are you from Norway, seems like the picture could be from here at least I guess it can probably fit with other countries in northern Europe as well
-
Seems like there is 1 black parrot as mentioned and quite a few black frogs in the big Ninjago set, I can not see anything else on that picture at least.. It being Ninjago we should not expect much anyway in regards to animals.. I assume we must hope for spring sets to give us something, but not sure they will leak before new years

Apperently the Black parrot is a stand in for a Falcon in the big Ninjago set. Ninjago is really the worst theme when it comes to animal moulds They used the parrot for stand in in the -90 when we did not have anything else, now we have a Falcon after all

Even so it can affect licensing price etc. HP are not as cheap a they used to be, but the first years after it came back the value was very good compared to a lot of other licensed themes. I am pretty sure the prices would not be so low if Disney owned HP back in 2018 as a example

Netflix buy Warner bros! Will that impact Lego HP time will show..

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Roebuck replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Did not get the best review there, but have not seen the others yet.. The designer say this, so probably intentional; "This is, I would say, our attempt to do one of the most crazy dramaturgs layouts ever yet. So if you can imagine those two Modular Buildings [Boutique Hotel & Assembly Square] having a child: this is it.” -
There is no doubt that Chris has a vision and are working very structured towards that goal. I have not any interest in construction City sets, but think those are especially impressive the last years, and the tractor now is very good looking. However it is very focused on vehicles and a lot less focused on animals compared to the previews years. I am sure kids love the new City stuff, but for me personally I only buy City sets with a lot of animals.. We still get some amazing new animals like pigeons and fox, but it seems we are back to having zero expectations in that regard towards the January wave (even if it's not only police and firefighter sets ) and hope we get something good for summer

I do not think Legoland themes have anything to do with what we get in Lego after all they have western, pirates and castle stuff and we have not seen those in a very long time.. However HP is of course a evergreen theme now and they will keep making them as long as there is a good profit on them just like SW..
