It can pass yes, but the new lion look much better as a lion, just look at the eyes and from what I understand it is tan, the puma on the other hand is dark tan.. Lego have already made the sabretooth tiger with a different head, so I am pretty sure they will do the same if they make a new lion I think the moulding cost is much higher than the assembly cost (if there is a cost at all to the latter) Maybe the safari set sell so much that they decide to make a hole wave of sets next year with a male lion and several other animals

If that is right, I assume 21321 is the International Space Station? I hope the pirate bay is not that cheep at least 21322 could be any of Playable LEGO Piano, 123 Sesame Street or The Pirate Bay.. Those are the 4 sets we are waiting for right?

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I saw Jang's video about the sets and then I was made aware of that most of them are 5+ in addition to 4+ and one 6+. So no wonder they look more junorized than normal, they are basically for kids moving from Duplo to Lego.. So I do not see the point in complaining too much about them, no AFOL is complaining about Duplo right Anyway it is only police and fire so they will most likely have a new wave in one year with a higher age limit on the boxes again.. I got a 2 new animals from the sets so I am a happy camper -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Roebuck replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think the English bulldog will most likely be in the modular also.. The other option I see is the BAM tower, but so far we have not seen a recolored animal mould there so close after the mould was released.. Do not mean much other than that Lego likes to put new pieces in the modular sets -
I forgot the snow leopard, but a white tiger is not really necessary in my opinion. That is normally only seen in captivity so it is not high on my list..

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
This city winter wave went from good too great A new lioness Now we are only missing a male lion to get the big cat family complete They even throw in a parrot for good measure as well and the small bird in the post-plane set. They are all in rather small sets so I hope the animals will not be to expensive to army-build then I will only buy the safari truck of the sets, but I need plenty of lions, dogs, birds and owls so B&P please make them cheep -
The lioness look fantastic and if we get a male lion in the future I will say that Lego have made every version of that mould that we need Who would have thought that 5 year ago when we did not have a single "big cat", so well done Lego and keep the animals coming The sets also has a parrot in blue/yellow so that is nice and the small bird comes in the postal air-plane set, all in all a very good city winter wave regarding animals

Nice find! Then I guess the chance of getting the pirate bay this year is really slim Anyway it is better they take the time to make a best possible set instead of rushing to get it released in the year of the 30 year anniversary
-
It is possible that Lego have used the mould budget from city to make a English bulldog so they later can use it as Ripper in a HP set They definitely did that with the updated rat before the first WW wave in 2018! That would also make Marge a likely candidate for the next WW CMF series
-
I could if the CMF or set was coming anytime soon, looks like that it not the case so I guess it is in the next modular

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I think this is a excellent wave of police/fire sets! Why you say?! Because I never buy police and fire sets anymore, so I look at if it has any new parts for me it has a new English bulldog piece so already there it is a winner It has the owl in a new color Some other observations: the flying helicopters and especially the magnets is something I would have loved when I was a kid from what I can see there is a lot of females 7 male cops and 7 male robbers, but also 5 female cops and 5 female robbers I like that the criminals have a dog to fight the police dog It is also really funny that the set with the mafioso called Vito has a create of fish in it I wonder which minfig that is sleeping with the fishes Remove the animals, minifigs and new play-features and the rest it is not very impressive to me as a AFOL, but I am sure the kids will love it -
Yes, we definitely need more owls in HP sets, nice that city has given us a new one a least I had a chat with Justin Ramsden on the inside tour where I told him I was very satisfied with the new WW sets we have gotten the last 2 years, but one thing was lacking compared to earlier waves; OWLS! He smiled and said he should remember it, so if we get more owls next year you know who to thank
-
Not bad for a city winter wave, they even put 4 fish in one of the sets for fun Since it is city it should be no problem with them shoving up in B&P I wonder if the other bulldog is coming with the modular? What else are we expecting now that can have it? Could also be BAM, but strange if it is released so close to the new mould there, or maybe a limited city set

Nice find There is one; Ripper! Aunt Marge favourite dog, she has 12 English bulldogs, but only bring Ripper when travelling to the Dursleys.. So the mould could definitely be used in HP in the future, but as you say that is probably to early for HP leaks (and it do not explain the other colour).. Could be city I guess, but then it is strange there is 2 colours at the same time Maybe city made the mould and the modular, BAM or similar used it in another colour (then strange they leaked together)? The most likely theme is CMF, but the DC series do not have any figs than can come with bulldogs and series 20 is to far away right (the white bulldog leaked a month ago)? The gold tooth makes me think of a licensed theme, but have no idea which one It is a real mystery to me

Probably, but I guess it depends on when the new parts are released! Do anyone know roughly which 4 dates we get new parts?
-
Not many animals in next years hidden side sets unfortunately, but one of the smaller sets has a bat and 2 spiders in black

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
When they have tested the farm sets on kids they love other stuff more! That is the problem and why we have not seen a wave in 10 years I want the farm theme back as much as anyone, but after talking to the Lego city designer I am not sitting up all night waiting for it to happen, but hopefully it will happen some day Other than the deer used as a antelope I think you have excellent points and hope you are right, but fear the safari off-roader is a standalone vehicle set I have high hopes what the Xtra theme might bring of animals in the future Sounds like the best police wave ever to me -
I am pretty sure the black terrier will be part of the inventory after 3 months when the BAM get new parts again.. The grey cat is still there right after the dog showed up 3 months later?! It do not make sense to make new unique animals for BAM and then only sell them for 3 months, they have a lot of old CMF parts years after they where released.. So the terrier will be hard to get the first few months I guess, then hopefully a new unique animal is released and the AFOLs will go for that instead The kids love the animals also, but are not so selective as adults I think so as long as they get a animal they like they do not care if it is rare or not

Roebuck replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Next year is the year of the rat and there is a rat mould and a rat(?) fig in the sets. I wonder if the next will include the cow mould and have a ox fig in it and so on Rat Ox Tiger Rabbit Dragon Snake Horse Goat/Sheep Monkey Rooster Dog Pig -
THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is a one off set from ideas, but if it is extremely popular Lego may start to make related sets yes.. If you do not have any pirate ship and want one, I would recommend you to buy a used one.. Since we did not get any pirates wave this year I think it still may go several years before we get one unfortunately -

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
Beggars can't be choosers and we should all be happy Lego is throwing us a bone and a fat juicy one as well For me personally a pirate ship is at the bottom of my pirate wish list: I have several and I think most pirates fans do every pirates wave have one even other themes have pirate ships (LOTR, ninjago etc.) This on the other hand we have never in 30 years got! Yes we have had pirates islands before, but not in this scale! We had small ships for the soldiers back in the day, but when we got the imperial flagship 10210 it was a different ballpark. I think the same apply here -
THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
If it is possible I think Lego will release it this year to use it as a celebration of the 30 years of pirates. If that is not possible I do not think they are in a hurray.. Anyway it will be on shelves for at least a year so should have plenty of time to save up money after it is released
