REVIEW: 71025 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 19
Roebuck replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for another great review! The real stars in series 19 are all the new fantastic animal moulds especially the dachshund that I have been wishing would get a mould for years Ideally a couple of the figs could have been changed with a native American and a pirate related fig to make the series less city based, but as long as I get all the animals I am a happy camper -
Yes that was impressive, but I guess it was only a limited number of themes that had sets in January or March The movie was also a record breaker so I guess sets that are from a new movie depend a lot on how well the move do it regarding sales numbers.. Lego Prince of Persia and lone ranger had nice sets, but the movies where not hits so I do not think the sets sold very well
-
Was WW in last years 2HY report?! They keep all the most interesting data secret off-course, What would be more interesting is how many copies each set is selling or a top 10-20 best selling sets, a theme with 30 sets will do better than a theme with 5 sets even if the smaller theme sells more of each set..

So 5 more weeks then

Pursuit of Flight has the best chance of making it, since it is small and original.. When do we expect next review to be published? I have high hopes for some pirates for a change, would be perfect to throw the pirates fans a big juicy bone this year

Not true, had a very small part in POA Well, prison transports happen all the time.. A criminal may be arrested in a different country than where he/she has done the worst crimes. If the countries have a extradition treaty, the prisoner will be handed over to the other country.. On the other hand I agree that several things in the movie is confusing the first time you see it including that scene.. I saw it again some days ago and recommend it since it was not so confusing the second time around Welcome It could be (hopefully) or just a fan service from Lego

Not so different from HP then, Harry got the scar because he was almost killed as a baby

The animal moulds made for minidoll sets are not used outside those with the exception of the little "sparrow" mould. Minidoll sets sometime uses minifig animals, but usually they make there own mould for the animal. Lately it has been a trend that a animal gets a minidoll mould like the chameleon then later a minifig one
-
That is definitely the best way to do it, even a minibuild of Hogwarts express can be used as a toy for a student I guess Hopefully they do something similar next year, but with minifigs that go better with sets also e.g. Patil twins in yule ball dress or new quidditch players And some more owls in other colours than white please

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I was unsure where to put scarecrow, but decided on "city" because you can find them standing in a farmers fields in the same size as people or in this case minifigs. The Lawn Gnome are small in reality, but this one is as big as a minifig so I put it in "Misc." instead of "city".. The Demolition Dummy is so odd (not because it is a chase fig) and I have never seen one except in videos so I put it in "Misc." instead of "City".. Several figs go in several gropes, but if a chase fig of two in a box like the Fisherman (?) could go in a different group I put it there instead -
Number of members that want the different advent calendars over at brickset: Harry Potter 2211 Star wars 1401 City 619 Friends 193 So HP got the same number of "wants" as the 3 other ones combined Looks to be another best-seller from the WW

The next review is close right? A 50% change Lego will say something there

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You are welcome Well 3 weeks ago a 16 old gamer from Norway won the world-championship in "Fortnite" with his team-mate and they both got over 1 mill Euro each So the lines for what is sport is getting more and more blurry. They could definitely be in "city", but since they could also be Esport and I do not like them I put them with "sports" The ballerina is a difficult one to place, but since they train a lot I put her there also Yes could be, but I decided to put the historic characters with guns in the warrior group since they are good for army-building Probably, but he is so different from any classic pirates fig so I would not group him with them.. He could also be in The Three Musketeers If you have several it is an army I was considering it, but was hard to differentiate between "monsters" and "fantasy" sometimes so I thought a 3 group would complicate matters further.. Was unsure about here since she do not have a separate head piece with a mask, so she should probably go with the rest of the "monsters" in series 14 You are probably right, even if he belongs in China he have never existed there except in fantasy Thanks Well it is usually something new in the licensed series that I can use like the lobster, but it is so much more in a normal series. So they are usually a hit or miss for me, I do not have a single licensed fig except from WW where I have the hole series Since we only get one series per year that is normal, I think the figs get too similar in a themed series, but both 14 and 18 had some great figs, but prefer the normal ones.. Off course if we get a themed series where every fig have animals I would love it You are right I should probably not take the sorrows before series 20 gets here, it may very well be fantastic You are welcome Yes the number of figs in the "sports" group got me shocked, I do not like them so I forget them soon after I see them, but did not know they where so many I am sure there are more like you Maybe you get a retro spacewoman in the future in the sub-theme Thanks Yes I do not understand either, and the kids love pirates as well Female islander, any number of high- and lowranking blue- and redcoat's etc -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It is raining the hole day here so decided to sort the CMF in different groups Several figs can go different groups, but I ended up with these and probably a lot of you do not agree with every fig in every group, but I think it was interesting to categorize them so we know what we have , maybe it is easier to see what we will get in the future Western; a very interesting theme to me that goes very well with the classic sets from the late -90. Hope to see more in the future, but they where more frequent in earlier series 1.Tribal Hunter 1.Cowboy 3.Tribal Chief 6.Bandit 8.Cowgirl 10.Tomahawk Warrior 12.Prospector 13.Sheriff 15.Tribal Woman Castle; another classic theme that I love to get figs from! Usually several or no figs in a series, have a lot of potential for farmers and other civilian figs in the future 1.Forestman 3.Elf 5.Evil Dwarf 7.Evil Knight 9.Heroic Knight 9.Forest Maiden 12.Wizard 12.Fairytale Princess 12.Jester 13.Classic King 13.Evil Wizard 15.Frightening Knight 15.Queen 17.Battle Dwarf 17.Elf Girl 19.Fright Knight Sport; One of the worst groups for me, I rarely get figs from it and had no idea they where so many Do other AFOLs like them? More common earlier, but still too numerous for my taste.. 1.Cheerleader 1.Super Wrestler 1.Skater 2.Weightlifter 2.Skier 2.Karate Master 2.Surfer 3.Snowboarder 3.Sumo Wrestler 3.Tennis Player 3.Race Car Driver 3.Baseball Player 4.Hockey Player 4.Soccer Player 4.Ice Skater 4.Surfer Girl 4.Street Skater 5.Boxer 5.Snowboarder Guy 5.Fitness Instructor 6.Skater Girl 7.Swimming Champion 7.Daredevil 7.Tennis Ace 8.Football Player 8.Downhill Skier 8.Red Cheerleader 9.Roller Derby Girl 10.Skydiver 10.Paintball Player 10.Baseball Fielder 11.Mountain Climber 12.Video Game Guy 13.Fencer 15.Ballerina 15.Kendo Fighter 15.Wrestling Champion 16.Kickboxer 17.Professional Surfer 17.Dance Instructor 19.Video Game Champ 19.Rugby Player 19.Mountain Biker Circus; a small theme of mostly clowns (no pun intended), common in the first two series then rare. Should be potential for more figs 1.Circus Clown 1.Magician 2.Ringmaster 2.Mime 5.Small Clown 10.Sad Clown 17.Circus Strong Man 18.Party Clown Sci-fi; One of the few classic themes I do not have any interest in, but I am sure a lot of other AFOLs love More than 1 fig in average per series, but usually either zero or several in a series.. 1.Robot 1.Spaceman 3.Space Villain 3.Space Alien 6.Classic Alien 6.Clockwork Robot 6.Intergalactic Girl 7.Galaxy Patrol 8.Evil Robot 8.Alien Villainess 9.Alien Avenger 9.Battle Mech 11.Evil Mech 11.Lady Robot 12.Space Miner 13.Alien Trooper 13.Galaxy Trooper 15.Astronaut 15.Laser Mech 16.Cyborg 17.Retro Spaceman 19.Galactic Bounty Hunter Post 1/3 -
I will most likely buy every WW they make anyway, but do not tell Lego that; say it comes down to the number of owls

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Who? I still hope it is false I really hope not! I have a few old figs on my wanted list, but would rather have completely new figs than to get them as a best of series or similar.. If I was desperate I can just buy the old figs with the inflated prices there are plenty on the marked.. This series 20 is getting me worried, because I know Lego will do something special with it and it is probably bad or worse from my perspective If it is a female gold in a total of 5000 or one per box I do not mind since I only buy the figs with useful parts. If it is some kind of themed series like 18 or one fig from each former series that would be bad! Series 19 has set a record with new animal moulds and if it something to special with series 20, I have to wait to 21 before I can hope to get a similar series again -
I would rather have those or a centur instead of Grawp Owls
-
Yes off course, but if we get 6 FB figs as last time I hope that 4-5 of them are not the same as series 1 Tina, Queenie, Newt and Jacob already have 2-3 good figs each. I understand that they must include Newt, but maybe the other 3 could change spots with some new characters HP figs had 16 spots so even tough we got two Harry's and one Ron and Hermione it was stills room for a lot of new figs (off course some of them have or will show up in sets later, but they came first in the CMF). FB have only 6 spots, but since most of the HP figs are well known maybe it is possible to include some less known character among the FB figs
