YES I Have been waiting to get that back in a natural colour (not zombie), looks like a great white shark If this comes in divers wave also, there maybe animals in similar quantities as the late 90 with the divers theme Edit: it has a more realistic eye print than the original as well

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
A new polybag has leaked, with a diver, new stingray mould, coral and maybe a gold bar? One of the best and most useful parts polybags I have seen in a long time I hope the diver are looking for gold this wave since I really want some more gold parts (not crappy pearl gold thank you) in my collection -

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
It has 3, but should definitely have at least 4 for such a big set. If you take a look at "the sixth development model" picture it has 4 cannons (and no pig), but it was probably another thing they could not afford to include with the small budget If if was a choice between 4 cannons or 3 cannons and a pig, I am happy they made the right decision. However I find it a little frustrating that they were forced to make those choices in the first place I understand that they could not get a huge budget so they could have every thing they point at, but here it is more like; 5 parts in a new colour and 10 new printed parts including the minifigs, the rest you must ask your colleagues for. A couple of CMF have a higher budget than that Anyway I think the designers did a fantastic job with the little budget that was given to them -
Tell that to Steve Irwin , but that was probably a different type of stingray Yes could be, rays are not my strong suit I must admit. We have a few species in Norway that look closer to the new mould than the old, but they are usually living on deep water so do not know much about them

Well it is huge, black and the tail is just Lego's way of pointing out that it is dangerous (the same as the arrowhead on the bow and arrow piece) Or maybe it was to prevent children from poking each other in the eyes, but a lot of them bite it instead

Good to see that it is on backorder now, that means it is selling a lot (better chance for some more pirate sets in the future) I will order mine with the next tempting GWP that show up -
I think it looks great It is OK too use it for freshwater stingrays also, even if the ones I have seen have a more round shape. This is even better than getting a new updated mould for the old manta ray, well done Lego

I hope and think the aquarium will make it unsure who else can make it, but Lego have approved more than one lately

I am 100% in agreement regarding the best sets, but I think the blacksmith is too big compared to them, but we will see what the set looks like I also hope for a return of the goat even if I have 6 I would like more and maybe in different colours. However since the pirate set did not have enough "Lego coins" in their budget to bring back the monkey, unless there is another set that have the goat I think the chances are slim unfortunately- 532 replies

If we get a burrow there will most likely be at least one pig there Because the ideas set had so little budget of "Lego coins" the designers had no change of bringing back the monkey with it. They would not have the "coins" to "buy" a pig with a new print either, so logically the pig comes in another set this year that has a bigger budget e.g. HP, so they got the pig at a price they could afford since it was a existing part in production

Lego Ideas Support Thread - Historical/Castle
Roebuck replied to leafan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Why not try it on ideas I personally think most of the castle builds on ideas are too big in scale, what I really want to see and get as a ideas set is something that goes with: https://brickset.com/sets/7189-1/Mill-Village-Raid https://brickset.com/sets/10193-1/Medieval-Market-Village To expand my village, and your builds fits in perfectly there. I also love to see civilian castle figs and always a lot of animals Bonus points for adding the dachshund- 532 replies

I agree with what you are saying, but they did definitely not forget it, they just had not enough "Lego coins" to pay what it cost to include it It do not have eyelashes it is similar to earlier Lego pigs, the pink nexo-knight pig have on the other hand that -

Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yes they did not have enough "Lego points" to bring the monkey back I think Some other parts mentioned in interviews they wanted to include, but did not have budget for: Farm animals, the original had 2 pigs and 3 chickens, the set has 1 pig gold coins soldier minifigs, if they included those they could not have made new parts for some of the pirates the old parrot colours, they manage to include 2 other parrots (the original had 3) I am sure that apply to several other parts like more cannons, other animals and miscellaneous parts. Have a look a the prototype pictures where it is actuality possible to see the different parts dissapering from one picture to the next New elementary has a detailed parts review up now! Excellent and useful as always, @jonwil they answer your gold bar question among other things http://www.newelementary.com/2020/03/parts-minifigs-lego-ideas-21322-pirates-barracuda-bay.html -
Looks like Harry Potter have had enough of the quarantine Possible, but so far it do not seem that new Lego sets are affected by the virus situation

Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think it is something different than pearl gold, I think that PG is a hopeless colour that look nothing like gold and the gold bars here look good as far as I can see so it can not be PG then -
It definitely looks a lot different than the normal animals, some new technique maybe Anyway I do not think it will come in city after all they have 2 new animal moulds for the theme, probably HS since it looks like it is glow in the dark I think the new seahorse looks fine to be a friends animal (it is a lot better than the flamingo ), but I think the other friends one in the picture probably will go better with the minifigs size-wise

That would be great 60% of that xtra bag goes really well with the bay set, but I would not mind a new one that go 100% If we get a set with figs (one can dream) it is definitely better with as much army builder figs and part as possible, low and mid ranking soldiers/pirates Maybe the creator set has some useful figs and parts

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
Really?! Well I "love" him, I get in a good mood just looking at his goofy style, but I guess people have different taste and humour The designers really did there best and it is a excellent set, but it irritates me that the animal moulds "cost so many points" to include, it is clear that the designers would have liked to include a lot more animals and other interesting parts Well the ship in creator would look noting like that ideas ship, since everything is more or less brick built there.. Lego is also limited by how many sets they make, if not they could have made a hole wave of pirate set to go with this one ideas set -
It is from city Edit ninja'd

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Roebuck replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
I learned some interesting facts in this video I asked about the monkey and coins It is clear that the designers wanted to include the monkey, the classic parrot, soldier figs, coins and a lot more farm animals etc, but do to limitations set by Lego they had to prioritise very hard. I wonder why the animals are always so hard to get in sets is it because of the printing on some of them -
Today's picture has leaked now, from the side this time It looks great hopefully we get some other colours of the mould also Another thing that has a better picture now is the friends flamingo. I usually do not comment on the friends animals here since they are of little interest to me, but I have 2 observations on this one. interesting that friends "copy" a minifig animal for once, usually it is the other way around I understand that TLGs marketing have found out that young girls prefer cute animals with doll-eyes over more realistic ones we have with minifigs. To me this looks like a ugly bird fetus compared to the lovely flamingo we got in series 19 and still young girls prefer the former over the latter if they are given a choice?!

No wonder they changed the all brown colour of the submission, it looks great and shiny in the program, but would really monotone and dull on the shelf. I am no fan of the yellow in the old ship, but understand that they use it here to look like the original. To be honest I am not so keen on pirate ships compared to other pirate related stuff. They take a lot of space and they look very similar to each other. This ship however looks so great that I consider to buy 2 sets. Take one ship and remove most of the interior so it can have room for cannons and swap it with the pirate ship I have on shelf (fighting the imperial flagship) The spare island parts should be possible to use to make the other "bay" even better
