LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
The city diver sets have leaked! So no single set with a lot of animals , but a lot of variety among the sets. Maybe we get a retailer exclusive with more animals The great white shark comes with the huge ship in addition to the stingray, the first picture must have been a prelim with the normal shark.. -
The city diver sets have leaked! From what I can see we get: The GWS (that are going to be expensive ) comes in the biggest set with the huge ship in addition to a stingray The anglerfish comes with 2 crabs in a set A small 4+ has the hammerhead shark The second biggest set has a hammerhead, stingray and a crab. So no single set with a lot of animals , but a lot of variety among the sets. Maybe we get a retailer exclusive with more animals

The garage is possible, but I hope they do not waste parts on it.. Since it is not wedding tent characters I think there are slim chance of that, maybe it could be a separate set in the future
-
Well it has almost twice as many parts apparently so should be a lot bigger There is no reason why they can not bring back the brown and grey also, so I am hopeful at least
-
Lego better put more than one owl in the set with those stickers of all the letters I saw the picture also, but unsure if they just put some owls next to the flying one or if they are coming in sets, hopefully we will know for sure soon
-
Any polybag with a animal is good news to me However I really hope we get one or two owls that is not Hedwig this year (both sitting and flying). Snowy owls are supposed to be rare in HP, but among the few owls we got there has only been one that is not her so far

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I think @SD100 is right: So you get 2 useless boats instead of one Yes, but as I said that was the only set with a lot of animals in that wave. The rest had mostly just a shark and the biggest set did not have a singe one So do not give up hope yet, could be a similar set this wave, saves me money if I only need to buy one set that comes with a lot of animals -
To me it is more important to get new moulds like centaurs, patronus animals (if Lego later give them the normal colour somewhere) and owls. If that means that some of the figs do not get a top grade that is fine as long as we get a lot of new characters I am happy

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

The huge boat have only one normal shark The other set looks more interesting with some type of coral reef maybe? There also seems to be more than one glow in the dark element beside the new fish, what is that about Are this prelims, something do not add up here! We more or less know we will get a hammerhead shark and a great white shark, and it is hard to believe that the stingray are only in the polybag. So unless the other sets have loots of animals this is odd I could be that the huge boat used to much of the budget on big part for the ship and could not afford any more animals, last underwater wave only had one set with a lot of animals so may be the same now -
Regarding the DA it would be strange if they made it exactly as the GWP set anyway. The only interesting stuff is in the first or second floor so why give the buildings 3-4 floors Maybe they give it the Barracuda Bay treatment, so we can choose which buildings we like to build Either: Ollivander's or Flourish and Blotts Eeylops Owl Emporium or Quality Quidditch Supplies The Leaky Cauldron or Borgin and Burkes That would be a genius way to get some of us to buy 2 sets

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not the parts, but the figs are there now I added some of them to the wanted list this morning -
I would assume the Burrow is a retail exclusive since it was not on the toy fairs, but release at the same time Would not surprise me at all 1047 pieces that is almost twice as much as the old one Now I am really predicting great things from the set There will be pigs (at least one), maybe even some chickens and hopefully some owls. If Lego approves the ideas set "Untitled Goose Game", there might even be a goose

The National Geographic tie has been around from jungle sets in 2017 so it looks like it is here to stay https://brickset.com/article/28952/lego-teams-up-with-national-geographic-to-inspire-kids It usually mean new animals so I am all for it

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I do not agree that usage of parts in other sets devaluate the CMF that have used it budget for the moulds. The sets would be without a lot of nice details and it benefits the theme as a hole I partly agree with you, but to me the best part of the CMF is to get new animals and we would never have gotten all those in normal sets, they do not have the budget for it. I would of course rather have the new animal with a cool historical fig than a rather normal city fig, but I guess the kids love city. -
I think they are getting better and better at keeping secrets and if it leaks the same day or day before it is a pretty useless leak if it even deserves the title at all Time will show
-
that many, maybe we only get one side of the street after all Sure a lot of your pieces can easily be removed, but the build is not finished either.. That is right, but with more minifigs there is less pieces
-
How many parts did you use?
-
Marcos Bessa is the design lead for WW and jurassic world so probably do not have time for other than a small set Justin Ramsden did the last WW D2C so maybe Mark Stafford seems to be working on more JW sets lately.. Are the ones I know has worked on WW sets, there are probably several others working on the theme also. I really have no idea, but as long as it turns out great it is the same to me Read and watch interviews, but there is a lot of designers that like to hold a low profile so I wonder how many there are of them in total
-
Yes looks great A fisher maybe Well I would say it is too big for e.g. the ferret You can have that after we get it in the natural colour Still no deer

It looks great and the scale is spot on from what I can see, but wonder if the same is the case with the hare
-
While I agree with most you say, I think Borgin & Burkes only have a 50% chance of being in the set since it is strictly speaking not in DA, but it depends how they make it. If it is a street with houses on both sides I do not think it is included however if there are just random buildings like the old one it probably is.. So then we are left with 4 buildings and depending on the size that may end up with what we are getting, but if they are a little smaller it should be room for a couple of smaller shops and a part of the LC at least the brick wall.. Like a small modular street where you can move the buildings around and place them where you want
-
Have a look at this clip I posted a few days ago: Magical Menagerie and Eeylops Owl Emporium are both in the clip from what I can see so should have the same chance as Quality Quidditch Supplies to be in the set I hope one of the pet shops make it
-
10217 Diagon Alley had 2025 parts, 11 figs and cost 150$. 71043 Hogwarts Castle had 6020 parts, 4 figs and cost 400$. The new D2C cost 400$ and is system -scale according to rumours. So say we get 5000 parts (bigger parts and more minfigs=less parts) and the builds is roughly the same size as last time we can get 6 small buildings extra. Slightly bigger builds we can hope for 4 extra maybe, less if it is more details. So I guess we will get something like this: A brick wall in one end and Gringotts in the other. A narrow street with 2-3 shops on each side that you can move around as you like or for display on the shelf have everyone on on side, open buildings from the back to save a lot of bricks and easy access

I hope we will, but have not much hope at the moment since the pirates bay did not have enough "designer coins" to include a monkey. However if a theme like HP where to reintroduce it we might be in luck I wonder how much bigger budget HP has than ideas when a small set can have 2 completely new animal moulds while ideas on the other hand can not afford to even include a mould from 2016
