The CMF coming later this year has 16 figs and we assumed when we assumed it was HP that it only had HP figs. If it is moved to next year because of FB it is almost guaranteed it have (probably 6) FB figs also. So the CMF coming later this year (whatever it may be) probably always had 16 figs and the HP/FB always had 22, but we got the number of figs info before we got news that the HP/FB had been moved Regarding the potential D2C I assume the move will not affect that since it do not need a CMF to back it up unlike other smaller themes Anyway it is better to spread things out so we get a D2C on year and a CMF the next instead of both one year and noting the next
-
Yes I believe so, in addition to the two FB sets, the advent calendar and the CMF. So that is another indication that the sets are selling really well
-
OK, do not pay much attention to the numbers and never remembers them, but I did think they where all still separated from the normal set numbers (never mind then)
-
Is not 75978 a strange number for a D2C? Do not mean that the price is wrong or that a set is coming
-
Well we where sure the D2C Hogwarts was minifig/system scale also, so this time I am not so sure If it is legit I really hope it is system scale, but the last D2C is a bestseller so hard to predict what the Lego group are thinking in this case

Where did you get these news, did not even know there was: a confirmed HP D2C let alone that it was DA If this is right it is big news!

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Roebuck replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Any news on the people pack this year? They made 2 last year so would be strange if they did not make at least one this year -
That would be fantastic A city subtheme farm or safari would also be a great place to get a lot of animals, but a zoo would probably be best since it can have animals from all over the world

Maybe, but I do not think that was what they meant with animals in the interview On the other side if animal moulds are popular that could also make Lego include more animals in other forms like costumed characters or themes like fabuland, chima etc.. Hopefully that means minifigs sets also not just minidoll sets I agree, but that could be said of most of the characters in series 20 in my mind

No I do not think it was actually, so that information do not have much value I think! In 2018 WW had 4 sets among the top 10 bestselling sets, but where still not a top 6 selling theme in the yearly report I wonder how the top 10 sets are for 2019, WW did not have a new D2C or a CMF last year, but maybe they managed to get a set or two on the list anyway

Yes that was a really nice surprise

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Good idea, the pirate could have gone great with the turtle The price in Norway now is even more than 5$ and to me not one of the figs are worth that, maybe if they had 2 animals each I would be willing to pay it -
That would be the smart way to do it, use the CMF budget to get new interesting parts introduced to sets e.g. the niffler in FB.. In this case I think it could go both ways, the leaker from the toy fair did not mention any animals in the city sets. I found it strange so I asked specifically and then he remembered the hammerhead and stingray. The turtle is small and may slipped under his radar, there is a lot to look at and many details to remember at a toy fair. So if it had been me I would have remembered all the animals and most details about HP, but had you asked me about figs in SW or superheros I would been more or less blank It would be a strange coincidence that we get a CMF diver a few months before a city "diver" wave and they are unrelated, but you never know with Lego..

I agree The fig looks great and are very similar to the source material as well Well even a comic magazine cost 5 euros and more these days Yes it is possible to get a HP book for that price and even cheaper, but that is only text. Here it is more pictures than text and that drives the price up (+ a exclusive minifig)..

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
To me there is one very likely candidate for next CMF now: -
It is almost certain it will include FB figs now and then 22 is the most likely number of figs, never change a winning team The positive thing about this is that we are getting more FB figs and probably sets as well next year Since I am a big fan of FB this makes me happy and the 2 sets we got in 2018 was really great and there is a lot of possibilities for more sets from the 2 first movies Lego probably made the decision a long time ago, they have known about the delayed film for a while after all..
-
That was my theory! @Itaria No Shintaku said only that it may be delayed to 2021.. Since it is January it is maybe to early to include FB anyway, so the corona virus may be a more plausible explanation
-
Maybe I should read the books then

If that is correct it must be to include FB figs I guess

I read this article and found something interesting: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2020/02/23/our-wrap-up-of-lego-at-toy-fair-new-york-2020-news/ "In front of the booth and along the sides, LEGO has large brick-built sculptures. The two posted near the booth’s entrance were an adorable frog and llama, likely to help emphasize LEGO’s new focus on providing more animals in LEGO sets, which a LEGO spokesperson told us was the result of the company’s market research. Check out our Toy Fair LEGO Friends coverage for a plethora of new animals (including llamas)." I like the sound of that

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion

I need every animal in every realistic colour for my collection But you are right probably only a matter of time before we see it again I will get some of the figs also, but not for 5 euro a pop -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just found out that the DC series in Norway has increased the price from roughly 4 euro (more than high enough) to the crazy high 5 euro I assume that is the case for series 20 also, will not buy a single fig for that price So I can wait for a discount (since shops probably will drown in figs), buy a box (not very tempting with this series since I only want multiple of the turtle and it not so easy to sell the extra figs now) or buy them from/in another country They started at around 2 euro 10 years ago so that is a 150% increase, if they keep that up they will cost 12,5 euro in 2030 -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The turtle and the knight are the stand outs for me The Viking looks like a playmobil fig like someone said earlier and the pirate not enough like classic pirates.. I agree that is is rather plain looking series who should have had a lot more animals included like series 19 to make it more desirable. I will buy around 10 different figs without much enthusiasm and "army-buy" the turtle -
I hope the pirate female look more like the last pirate females and less like the swashbucler The hat is fine, but I do not like the rest
-
I agree, we have to go back to series 13 before we find a series with only one animal! And things where going so well with a lot of them in series 19 On the other hand beggars can't be choosers and I am happy we get a turtle after all I have high hopes in HP as well in addition BAM and city have bean really good this year
