Land Rover Defender 110 - Sheepos
Ralf replied to nato8181's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Aha, then the limit must be over seven motors with the standard box............ But i don´t know how Lego want to do this they don´t know how many motors are at the box. For me i think they limit the current, that´s all, easy and effective. -

Yes there is a limit but i´ve not measured it. The Defender is driving with two XL motors and one XL motor for shifting and the steering m motor....... so there are four motors working. About the current i think it´s between 3-4 Ah. -
Limited Slip Differential
Ralf replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes many cars have "viscosity torque converter" but not at that position. The torque converter is inside the differential and shared the power to the left or right side, but one side has always propulsion.- 66 replies

The standard AA batterie box or the AAA batterie box have no limit of motors only a limit of the current. -

The next days i´ll upload some pics of my gearbox with the bands, so you can see what kind of rubber bands i use now. I´ve spend many hours to make the gearbox ~99% reliable...... it´s a patience game. -

Yes you can use Lipo´s the best choice is the lego 8878 very powerful and with 7,4V but it´s very expensive ~100$. I use the low cost solution with the original bat box and 6x Sanyo Mignon AA HR-3UWX 2400 mAh it´nearly the same power like 8878 but much heavier. -
Wow, the Axial Ripsaw look also really good, cool tires. How much is the diameter? I think 115mm?

The clutch gears are not working like an LSD, if you have an obstacle the car has no more propulsion and all four clutch gears spin...........- 66 replies

@ritztoys, at first you have to use a good and strong power supply, forget batteries........ (not strong enough for all the motors). I use NimH Sanyo 2100 mah so you have enough power to drive and shift up and down. If your power supply is full charged you can test the gear change by driving the car but the rubber bands have not all the same strength and you must test with different fixing points of the bands. Change the fixing points of the rubber bands and test different positions but look that you have always a perfect middle position after shifting up or down. Further all parts must move very easy, i had to change about 8-10 parts to find the perfect combination. -
Hi, my collection "family" is growing constantly, here are the three new ones. 42008 in red (i hate green.....) The Spirograph..... my daughter love that and i´ve made hundreds of pictures. The Racers car, i had to rebuild him complete new, really fast and funny to drive. That´s all for the moment but i have to look for more space.......... @BigTonka, great collection........ awesome

@Phoxtane, yes you´re right but i´ve enough BTC at my account and so i can pay in realtime directly! If i sell a coin i have to wait that the money arrives, takes 2-3 days. Further should be BTC a currency to pay directly in the web.
-
Ok, thanks, i thought more people know what Bitcoins are............. so i think i´ll sell a coin and pay traditional. P.S. Bitcoins are a virtual currency you can buy them and then sell with them at shops. Further a speculation objekt - buy cheap and sell with profit.
-
Hi, i am searching Lego shops they accept Bitcoins for payment. Does anyone of you knows some shops in europe they accept Bitcoin? I am searching the whole time but i have found nothing, only electronic, household and travel shops........ If there are no Lego shops they accept BTC i have to sell some coins and have to pay with the traditional method.

Really nice the Spirograph, it should be my christmas work for my daughter......... -
I use the GMADE MT-1901 these are not the softest tires but they have really good grip and a good look and fit perfect on the rims. How ever a LEGO crawler is not really a professional car and so the tires are good enough for me.

4x4 crawler with two servo motors
Ralf replied to Ralf's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The design of the crawler is ONLY effective........... he shouldn´t win a brilliancy prize. Weight as low as possible and the body as light as possible, but i have to go down with the gearing the next time....... -

Thank you, i´m also new at the AFOL MOC world. In the past i construct only with ballpen, rule and paper.......... so it´s really new for me to use LDD. But LDD is a good choice to test and construct all what is possible with technic........ i like it. Further it´s really easy to use...... after some time of learning.
