Nope. This appears to be a license from the GB team and not the LOC (Local Organizing Committee) which actual runs the games under license from the IOC (International Olympic Committee). Two separate organizations two different trademarks. That said I still have my doubts but remain hopeful.

As usual many people all do the same thing: LEGO LandScape group on Flickr LEGO Palm Trees group on Flickr Brick Bonsai group on Flickr In addition to the LEGO Arboretum above. And that was just 30-40 seconds of searching on Flickr. Hopefully this thread can help bring sanity but might I suggest it is in the wrong place. Buried in Eurobricks Forums > Themes > LEGO Historic Themes > Guilds of Historica rather than something a little more general may not be the best place for it unless you are only interested in trees built for the GoH project.

I think it is simply that the days of $0.10 pp average are gone. Prices have risen. In the latest issue of HispaBrick they have an interview with Jørgen Vig Knudstorp who talks a bit about the rising price of raw materials. I started really getting back into LEGO about a decade ago and the $0.10 pp average was talked about then. Times change, petroleum-based products are not likely to get cheaper.

I am glad they did not feel compelled to remain compatible with current head accessories. I thought most of the head accessories were awful.

Welcome aboard. I am sure you and your daughters will have fun. My daughter is 10 and really enjoys the Creator line. She thinks Friends are OK but is too much Daddy's girl and says she hates the new Friends figs. BTW she has been looking through the catalogue for a set she can save up for and told us the other day she is saving for the Royal Joust. All LEGO is for girls!

I have heard through our LEGO Ambassador that there will be a "soft opening" this weekend starting tomorrow, Friday April 13 - ooooh bad juju there mon. The grand opening is tentatively scheduled for May 4-6 weekend.

Sorry, after seeing the following at BrickCon last year made by Alice Finch I cannot take the official sets seriously as anything more than a source of parts. Start combining what you have into MOCs.

I cannot believe it was 1993... wow nearly 20 years have passed! Yes huge fan from the first episode until the end of the fourth season. The fifth season was a disaster thanks to the network and Crusade <shudder> was pointless. My wife was such a huge fan she even got noticed in the printed Lurkers Guide for her online catalogue of IKEA furniture which filled most of the station. Funny story: we were on holiday in England the summer of season two I think. We had to cut short sightseeing in London one day to make sure we were back in our room at our B&B so we would catch the season finale. -

Well, this is slightly bad news. If Pegg has no "stake in merch" then he has no control over the merchandising rights and thus might not be the one who can give permission for use. Hopefully his goodwill will count for something though. -
Clever construction of the window shutters.

Of course! I got my order on Friday and now a new sale. Fantastic speed on delivery BTW and the parts are excellent.

There does come a point where sorting is too fine. I recently started dumping all my 1x2 bricks with "bits sticking out" into one bin. Much easier to sort and finding the right one is pretty quick.

My (admittedly limited) experience with glue and ABS suggests you are wasting your time. The bond at right angles of such a small area of contact will barely hold itself together. The first time you try to attach it to anything like a minifig hand it will break. Sorry, best to just find another use - perhaps glue the shields to something else as decoration or as a label for sorting bins?

I think BrickLink can handle modulex now. The best price is parting it out and selling in small quantities. It takes a lot more effort and time however.

Howdy neighbour, welcome aboard! Maybe we will see you @ BrickCon in Seattle this October?

Really nice to see a ship in these colours. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Thanks for posting.

Great work! I especially love the simple and effective bike rack design. I will have to use that when I get around to my city buses.

"Back"? They have never been part of Argentina so they cannot give them "back". That would be like saying we should give Ontario "back" to the United States who briefly occupied it in the War of 1812.

Totally with you on that wish! A couple of years back I bought four of these on Bricklink just to have some sort of river system: It would be fantastic to have these done again but without the printing on the middle of the river. Of course a new "corner" would be amazing as well. I wonder if Lord of the Rings could be the venue? Licensed themes get more leeway to create "new" elements. A couple of river elements could be used in sets for at least different scenes: Nazgul pursuit from the Shire to Rivendell, travelling downriver from Lothlórien and the assault on Osgiliath.

Apple Store, Gym, Restaurant, Bar and night Club - Oh My!

Very nice work in a confined space. The stairs on the outside actually seem to create more interior space so I might use that. I think it makes the streetscape more interesting. Real streets end up with planters, trees, benches, bus stops, newspaper boxes, mailboxes etc that make walking in a straight line difficult sometimes. The more cluttered the better I say if you are trying to create a busy urban street.
