  1. This is a great looking ship.
  2. It can be manly in insurance... We'll up your premiums, semi-annually!
  3. The new Slave 1 is an indication that they could release a set without it being particularly new.
  4. Looks great and thank you for not calling it UCS.
  5. From my understanding its not stressed bricks.
  6. You should be able to look at the reviews and photos to draw your own conclusion.
  7. Apparently what's missing is an underwater base on the moon. :D
  8. It really depends on whether you want extra parts or not.
  9. I like the use of the octagonal part and the hinge pieces, but were you able to get them even so it looks like a continuation of the same kind of architectural detail?
  10. Just wanted to add that this is turning out great.
  11. Well I am pretty awesome.
  12. Love it, but I think you need to give the inside an actual floor instead of just using the white baseplate. I'm not syaing you need to get all snotty with tiles, but maybe a layer of brown, or whatever color you choose, plates would add a lot. Something akin to what Commander Laquiet did with his King's Grocer.
  13. Let me start by saying this is a great building with great details. I really think your floors could stand to be maybe one layer of bricks taller. From the outside they look too short, there needs to be a little more headroom at the awning on the first floor and arch on the second. To be fair, the Modulars really are a little too tall for the minifigs and it could just be that I've spent too much time with those kinds of sets.
  14. Looks good. Are you doing an interior for that extra floor? I would just keep the extras. Doing so means the chances of scavenging that set while building your next MOC would be lower. My Fire Brigade has already lost its fire escape for the big MOC I'm working on.
  15. Great review. Had I not planned on buying it already this would convince. I've always liked this ship, reminds me of an American muscle car.
  16. Great work as usual.
  17. I guess that qualifies as the disemheaded pimp hair of Mr Malfoy.
  18. Boom!!! Sold. I'll def take this before Hogwarts. While the price may seem high it is well under the magic 10c** per piece ration that I like. That being said, it is still expensive but at least TLG has an assortment of good looking sets under a 100**. I do think that with all of the interior details in Olivanders, Bourges and Burkes feels really sparse as far as the interior is concerned. I think there is a difference between the advanced CC building techniques and SNOT tiling. While I love advanced techniques these really don't have much in the way of SNOT work. Almost every surface has exposed studs. I can't wait to peek at the instructions to see how they did the leaning bank columns. One thing I must say in regard to the columns, first of all I love the ribbed surface, and second of all. Thank gods that they didn't two big-megablocks, single-piece columns like Battle of Almut. That was a hugely disappointing aspect of a set which was otherwise entertaining to build. ** I can only speak about pricing in USD. Anyone else notice the disembodied head of Hagrid?
  19. Only 36 tecnic pins? What a rip-off.
  20. Its Lego and its Star Wars. 'Nuff said.
  21. They look great, but here are a couple of suggestions. The 1893 looks too crowded. You need a little more white space in either side and def need some white above it. The long technic stud looks bad on the inside. Maybe there is/are alternate methods of attaching the tan 1x plates.
  22. You forgot the Christmas lobster.
  23. This is going to be great. The only issue I see so far is that it looks too short front to back. The whole thing needs to look longer.
  24. Heh, I was thinking about doing a modular one with brick-built bikes, but then I got sidetracked with my Crimson Permanent Assurance. To be realistic your shop should have: Clothing and accessories Space for bikes Parts counter An office or two Coffee maker Lounge Space out front for bikes for sale and customers who are hanging out Service space Storage space where newly arrived crated bikes are kept. Some display bikes which aren't for sale. Preferably vintage.
