Really, it looks like real fig from S9, just following my guess from guessing topic! Re-usage of Spacemarine-type armor in new colour, with alien face. So it's an Alien trooper, too good for custom. Maybe this fig is not so exciting, but it proves the whole list, so I'm waiting for the Judge, Marion, Mermaid and Caesar!

Somebody like Einstein or simply realistic scientist (not mad one from S4) would be great! This prediction makes the whole list sound true. About the surname, maybe it's something about translation? Splitz, splits. splitting - maybe something connected with atom splitting? PS Just looked at my list created in september... There are Knight, Plumber, Judge and even something like Alien Trooper!

What a sail! Brilliant replica made of plates. Being quite a purist, I really want all official LEGO ships to have sails like your one!

The new one is very detailed and it's always great to have a new variation, but the classic one is such an iconic acсessory that I'm not very happy about cancellation of producing it. But we've got lots of these swords since 1985, and they're quite cheap on BL. Hovewer, I adore new horse but not this new weapon mould...

I always adore realistic architectural designs in MOCs, and your Gate is a great example of these! The color scheme and SNOT works perfectly, and minifig hands make a nice design! However, I'm sorry for the poor figures (when I'm trying to make designs out of hands, it becomes very hard to build a simply complete minifig! )

I've already posted my thoughts, but since many people have told here not just about figures that can appear in S9 but even about their dreams, I can edit my list... Last time I haven't enough original ideas, so now I can predict: I BELIEVE in: 1. Asian fisherman with a Ninjago hat - re-use of Sensei Wu's great headgear. Also can contain a fish, but not the regular one but asian ornamental one as a real fish in silver\sand green color! 2. Good Knight, typical fig opposite to the Evil Hog Warrior! 3. Beefeater, with a roof. Another iconic british fig and we have a clue from a designer who influenced many other figs! 4. Basketball player 5. Realistic Astronaut 6. An islander (hope we'll get re-uses of old parts of Pirates theme) 7. A plumber with a plunger (great new part!) 8. Heavy-armoured alien villain, something like evil space-marine. Reuses, or new "evil" heavy armor parts. 9. A chef! Definetly it should have a bread or a cake, and an interesting print not to be a simply CITY cook. 10. A boy, short legs etc. 11. An old woman with light-gray Sumo Wrestler's hear. I WANT to get: 12. Papal Swiss guard soldier - I'm not sure about him. They are quite famous, stereorypical, colorful and wear old-styled armour so one fits great in CM. But I know Lego has no deal wih religious thematic. Hovewer, papal guards are not priests, they are just traditional soldiers like british Royal Guards... There should be a colorful outfit with prints and a morion - hope in metal ('silver') colour at last. We may have a ruff again or another cuirasse, it will be great to re-use a spanish one from Armada sets, even not in chrome. 13. Woman in an old-styled dress. Again based on this famous picture. I've tried to buid one, but the dress seems too big. Hovewer, if we'll put a ruff of a Musketeer's hat with a feather (maibe in blue or other colour) - it looks great, much better than traditional slopes. 14. Again, Russian man, I still want a stereotypical Russian. With a Bofur's new hat (it's much more suitable for Russian than old hat from Orient Expedition) , or just with a Caveman's beard in tan - it looks great in LDD! 15. Any female fig with re-release of Elisabeth Swann hair. Many of contemropary common wigs are from Licences (Indiana Jones mostly). Why not re-release this realistic, great but, unfortunately, very rare piece? 16. A judge with a wig. Not neccesary the wig from no 15. Hope to make some of them in LDD and render in POV-ray for a photorealistic pic.))

Just in time for me! I've been making a set of custom minifigs to render them in LDD2Povray, and now we have some CM stuff from series 4 and 8!

I don't know who it is, but these details are great!

Certainly the best way is to combine these contests in one for both series!

Thanks for a great review, as usual. This time it wasn't an early one (Some of your previous reviews made me bought the earliest possible sets available through ebay, sometimes it was too expensive - and now I've got the whole series before this one...) But it's still a great traditiol and I'm happy it's still live! I can't say that this series is a fail! Before opening the packs, I hadn't been so excited. But now I can say that the actor is probably my favourite minifig of the whole theme (along with the early spartan, well). The new collar piece is just fantastic! Now there is no need to use reversed epaulettes. And, considering action themes too expensive for me here, I'm fond of Vampire Bats end especially ALien Queens! About the Cheerleader, I certainly prefer the first one, but it's nice to have this hairpiece in black at last. And I'm waiting for a contest, since the last one was about S6.

Wow! I'm not familiar with Technic at all, but I consider every of these sketch models to be really wonderful pieces of art! Looking forward to the final model, it should be fantastic!

Eowyn looks very minifig-realistic, I believe it's a teaser and they'll release her in one of next wave's sets! Hovewer I don't believe we'll get a painted sword. About the Mumak... Novadays, when LEGO games show more naturalistic landscapes, buildings and interiors, without any bricks and LEGO style at all - no wonder that his trunk isn't a real LEGO piece. But its construction contains many real LEGO pieces and great techniques... The beast itself should be huge - it would be great to get one, even as an expensive set.

In Russian language (and some other Slavic ones), "Great Being" sounds like Великий (Velikiy). As we know, Greg Farshtey knows some Russian words, so there was a hint for us since 2006.

About chemical dwarf, it was at first a parody of a Series 4 Hazmat Guy fig in steampunk\technical fantasy style.)) Now I think I should had used new Diver's suit, but I've got him only a week ago.

Maybe they wound not produce a Battle Pack set, but will add these animals to a new theme like legends of Chima? Is Mermaid an animal? It's a humanoid species, I think. It's not politically correct to call fantastic beings animals ]
