Great Set, great review. The Minifigs are awesome. I also think that Ginny is one of the best Figures ever released. She looks almost real . The next months are going to be really expensive.

Thanks you guys for the kind replies and thanks for the advices. The baseplate was only for support, but I know what you mean. I should have used a smaller one. It's a little bit distracting. I will keep your advice in mind for my next rock. Will make it look way more real. Thanks again to all of you.

Some of the smaller sets look nice, but overall it's not very appealing to me. I don't think the card game aspect will work out. The small chain is great and I think in a weak moment I will buy the motorcycle

The sets are nice but I thought there would be more buildings in the smaller sets, not just columns. Otherwise the new creatures are nice, too.

I really love this theme. I don't mind if one half of the pyramid is a baseplate and I think the combination of building and Creature in the sphinx set is great. Very cool new pieces, great minifigs and awesome vehicles. I the design of the machineguns (immediately built them myself). I hope there will be only a few changes for the final product (sunglassed face must go ). I'm really happy with the sets. Next year will be very expensive.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Plissken replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the pics. I think this is the most mixed series. A few good, a few bad and a lot of just ok. Maybe some will change a bit for the release. I'm not a fan of the reused Alien head and the sumo guy is pretty lame IMO. But again a lot of new molds which are very useful. In case of the Elfs head, for me it looks like the ears are part of the hairpiece -
I'm not very good at shaping up a good looking rock formation, but a few days ago I finished a piece I'm almost happy with. Loosely based and inspired by Lovecraft. Enjoy. A treasure hunter located an old cave under a mysterious island. Prepared for everything he puts on his diving gear and go on for a hunt. Inside the cave he discovers an golden plate. Before he could look any further, something attacked him out of the dark. He desperately leaves the cave and turn around. Four tentacles coming at him but cannot reach him at all. They are stuck at the entrance of the cave. The creature these tentacles belong to must be huge.

I like it. The brown bricks could be very useful. I also like the horn/skull? detail on the side and the fireplace inside the house looks promising. I think it will look very nice inside a forest layout.

I bought this set yesterday. It is great. Nice parts, nice figures. The great review is totally doing it justice.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Plissken replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I really believe there will be one way to identify the figures. Something has to be there just for the production process. Imagine cases with only two or three different figures What could be possible is a colorless stamp on the package. A few years ago there were little buildable Figures of Marvel characters (not Lego). They were blindpackaged, so no way to identify them. But at the back of the package at the bottom was a little stamp. You hold it against the light and could see a little letter. With this method you could identify the figure. I think something similar could work for series 3. -
I'm not impressed with the space sets. They look a little bit uninspired. Maybe they look better on bigger pictures. The police sets look a lot like the last ones. The dog car could be nice. At the moment there is not much for me in this sets. But my opinion can change Edit: removed the links to the pictures. Somehow I didn't notice they were already posted. Sorry.

The guy who posted on the german site gives a few more details about the line over at My linkhttp://imperiumdersteine.de/showthread.php?t=21105. He said it's Human vs. Mummys/Mythic Creatures. He also mentioned an Anubis like head ( ). The setting/vehicles is similar to the adventurers line (Oldtimers, double-decker, 1930 like style). The pyramid lies on a baseplate similar to the "Temple of Akator" Set. No mention of Johnny Thunder, but who knows. Sounds very nice so far.

A really nice review, Ras74. I was undecided, if I get this set or not. Now it is clear for me. I love this set It looks so great. There are so many rooms, yet small but detailed and the printed animals are gorgeous. Really really nice

My entry for this category. Over the last few years her fame faded. Her gigs get smaller and smaller. At last only a couple of people wanted to see her. The last CD she released was a financial disaster. After this she was sure that her career has ended. But one morning she received a letter. A really old looking one. She opened it and released the almost ancient paper. She read it very carefully. All of it sounded very weird. It was an offer for an exclusive concert, next week, with a payment that would equal the money she earned in her first two successful years. This was truly an offer she can't refuse. The location was a little bit creepy (a long abandoned fair), but who cares. The letter was signed with "Your greatest fan". OK that sounded really creepy. At this moment she noticed another paper. It was a contract. The words "please sign immediately" poped to her eyes. She took a pen and signed. A thought comes to her mind "With this gig it can't get any better", even if it means to hell and (maybe) back. The stage, with the crowd waiting for the star. One had too much to drink it seems. Why do this guy need a chainsaw? The thin technician climbs the ladder to operate the lights. In the other corner is the crate with some treasure (the payment). Her greatest fan is happy. His star will arrive soon. He holds the contract, looking forward to tell her that he has more plans for her in the future

This is a great looking MOC pif500. Very nice uses of Minifig hands and arms. The hut looks cute and the birds are awesome. Great work, very inspiring.

Collectible Minifigs: What's your favorite new part mold?
Plissken replied to Rick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I vote for the spacemans raygun ans the pop stars hair. The raygun looks really pulpy and can be used in a lot of occasions. The pop stars hair is, for me, simply one of the best female hairpieces ever. I hope they re-release it in many different colours. One other thing is, put the hair on the lifeguard and you got an almost 1:1 minifig incarnation of the great Farrah Fawcett (RIP). Absolute fantastic. -
Star Wars figures slightly modified
Plissken replied to Mr Spielbrick's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I second that. After I saw your pics Mr Spielbrick, I put the surfer hair on my Landspeeder Luke. He now looks really awesome. Thank you for the inspiration. -
- I used to build sets in my bed, but I changed that for the kitchen table. It's better lighting in the kitchen. - I open all bags and put them together, the search is part of the fun for me. - Always build the Minifigs first. I think that's it for me.
