Interesting. Nice detail to the windows and patterns. I think the colour scheme works perfectly, too.
-
Great! Although I think the trees may be a bit oversized, though.
-
I forgot the scale of the minifig. If it was as big as one of the large rock monsters, then that may have been possible. I think it will just have a simple clicking lock to keep the face in place.
-
While that would be great, I don't think we'll see a diverse variety of minifigs as we have in this theme. There are more opportunities for more minifigs in this theme, but I think it has lived out its lifespan. I hope I'm wrong, but if another theme takes its place, the minifigs won't be as good. ...On a different subject, I can't believe I still haven't seen the Raid VPR or Smash and Grab sets in stores yet...

Well, this is interesting. I think Stretch's body will be, uhh, stretchable, to some extent. Stretch's body seems to be made of rubber, and I think that will stay. Chunk possibly has a button or lever on the back to change his face. Perhaps that's what the actual Chunk from the movie does? The minifig driver looks a bit odd to me. I wouldn't mind a generic smiley face. Stretch's face looks strange too. I hope they include an alternate happy face.

Hmm. It seemed to be fake for a few reasons: -A part of the "Tower of Toa" set overlaps Mata Nui. -Assuming the image was supposed to be bordered, Mata Nui's weapon extends past that. -No author or publishers? -The "free mask" had a heavy outline, which made me feel suspicious. -This was posted on April Fools. Just pointing out flaws. If this was real, I wouldn't get it. It shows every set that I missed.

Well, yeah. Didn't really express myself clearly. Basically, City impulse sets (what I consider to be "standard" impulses) can be found in stores around my area, but not impulse sets from other themes. That's usually the case. Oh, and with the lime circular piece, i think the final thing's going to be in red. The images are slightly preliminary, as can be seen with the image of the new minifigure holding a ring without a creature on it.

Ooh, so it's officially an old floppy-armed skeleton! While I would gladly have taken another enemy minifig, the skeleton's great too as I don't have the original old-armed skeleton.
-
Is it just me, or does the body look flat? It appears strangely thin. I won't get this, for a few reasons. One being price, and also the fact that there don't seem to be good (or enough) minifigs. I'd settle if it included at least five snowtroopers, but then there's the price... Depends on how much it costs, really. I may get it just for the AT-AT, however bad.

On the topic of Manta warriors, I can't seem to find any of those impulse sets. Pity. The only way I can get one now is from the Seabed Scavenger... Come to think of it, impulse sets which are directly related to a theme (e.g. Space Police impulses) are rare... I've now seen every Atlantis set in stores. I'm still restraining myself (except impulses and the Seabed Scavenger) until the portal set comes out.

Well, I love the minifigs and the overall completed feel of this set, but it's probably going to be massively overpriced here, so I'll give it a miss this time. The gold scorpion is a nice little addition.

That's really good. I like the whole scale of the thing, and the attention to texture.

Well, this minifig I won't be too disappointed at the lack of back printing. Fine to me. This will prove to be a useful minifigure to use as a test subject. I now need to build a giant machine...
-
Well, not too excited about this except for completing my collection (in the future when these are released) and for those pom poms.
-
Hmm. I have a slight issue with the side and back of the minifigure's torso. It's clearly the cream colour of the clothes. However, it looks odd since the top-left corner is ripped off. The yellow band above the leg printing is an issue too. Still, not much you could do to fix those issues but more printing, so I'm not too bothered. The club and hairpiece will come in handy, too. I have yet to get the Hagrid hairpiece.
-
It's white with black printing, I believe. Look at the close-up image, you can see the black printing is slightly off. I'm sure it was shown with a separate hairpiece, but it must've gotten removed. Pity, as the hairpiece may have come in handy. If I get the luck to get two of these (yes, I actually would like to get a few multiples of every minifigure if I haven't rounded off my collection, just not too many), I'll find a good use for the hat and wand.
-
Gloves, maybe? I'm pretty sure they're white. I'm not that excited about this minifigure, but I'll try to get it anyway.
-
Whoops! Must've missed that. I'm fairly sure Twitch's wings won't be retractable. Buzz's wings weren't (although you could simply remove them, but that still looks a bit funny). I got my first made in China minifigures the other day! Even if the quality is improved, it still bugs me to think that it's not exactly the same as we used to have. That's a pity, because I got that set specifically for the Zurg minifig...
-
Erm, didn't anyone notice the large possibility of it being able to transform? I thought the bulky arms were a giveaway. Either way, it does look pretty good, better than I expected.

I don't know if this has been seen or posted yet, but there's a cleaner and larger image of the garbage truck set on Brickset. Image:
-
The set looks decent, and I'm guessing it will be around $30-$40 Australian dollars. That's probably reasonable, though.
-
Very nice. I'm not familiar with the car itself, but it looks good.
-
Well, good point. Specifically, I meant they may include alternate heads instead of the actual minifig. Something tells me Twitch threw them in there... EDIT: after looking at the image again, I realised the garbage truck set is supposedly limited edition. I hope I can find it. Which reminds me, Twitch's head looks a lot like something I know, but I can't put my finger on what it is... SECOND EDIT: it's also supposedly limited edition in America. That means it's possibly widely available here.

The main issue I have is not having the original to go with the variation. It's not much of a problem, but it would look odd. On the other hand, that raises another question. Maybe we will get the normal versions in that set too? Because if, for example, the characters had escaped because there's a feature that allows you to do that (there almost undoubtably is one), they would look strange if they're still unhappy. Just following a typical kid's reaction after playing with the set...
-
Hmm... Twitch looks great, I can imagine the head returning if it isn't a trademark. The dirty versions of Buzz and Lotso are nice, but I don't share that enthusiasm with the new Jessie minifig, as I won't get the regular version. I just realised the garbage truck is quite nice by itself. Might be able to fit in with City sets.
