Well, they're not really out of place, but you'd think they'd use new rings, because people are probably tired of the old rings by now. I'm pretty sure the ring shown is just for decoration, so it doesn't have to be accurate to the sets. And if I'm not wrong, wasn't it yellow?

Hmm. The Trash Compactor set doesn't look too bad, but I won't be getting it. I'm still waiting to see if the Alien minifigs get released in a cheaper set (or more interesting set) in the future. I read a few pages back about a Pizza Planet Truck set. Is this going to be Duplo, like it says in the first post? I really wish it isn't, because I believe that's where the Little Green Men came from.
-
Right, that makes logical sense, but they could have created a sixth "master key" or something. It would fit well with the new guardian sets, which seem out of place with the old rings, plus, would be better for opening the portal in the set.
-
If I didn't see the Portal of Atlantis earlier, I would feel the same way. I mainly want the figures and rings, so the set, providing I can get it, is a huge money-saver.

Now that I finally can concentrate on an image of the Wampa Cave... I think the main feature's probably the Wampa and Snowspeeder. I didn't really notice exactly how tiny the cave is (more like the entrance to a cave, with the actual cave removed), but it shouldn't bother me too much.

Well, what I believe is water appears white, and the lights on the front are white, too. I don't think this is the reason. On the other hand, I've thought over my decision again... I think it's a prototype render of something we'll see in the future. People have suggested games, but I don't think so. If it's a prototype, then it definitely explains the discoloured pieces. EDIT: yay! 100th post, and now I'm officially a citizen. Just a bit of self-promotion. =P

Haven't seen the movies, but they look pretty good. I like how you made them detailed (like the arched look on the Aerial Hunter Killer) while still keeping them in small scale.

What do you look for most in a lego set?
Delta 38 replied to sok117's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, in most lines, it's mainly for minifigs. In lines I like, e.g. Star Wars and Power Miners, I usually buy them to round off my collection. Occasionally, in lines, I like the set itself, not just the minifigs. Oh, and the price is usually my deciding factor when buying sets. If it's about $60 or more, I start getting reluctant about buying a set. -
Well, counting sets I have... I have no real disliked set, because if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have bought it. =P I can't form an opinion on sets I don't have, to be fair. Out of my minifigs though, my least favourite are probably battle droids. There's too many of them, and I think they're only good if you want to make a Geonosis battlefield or something.

Triple-barreled Zurg gun and Robot minion
Delta 38 replied to YG-49's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
The gun fits well with the minifigure, and is pretty accurate in comparison to what we have now. I don't really recognise the robot, so I can't comment on how accurate it is. I wish I had a Zurg minifig, but generally speaking, I'd need to buy a large set which I generally don't want. -
Yes, lots of people noticed that a few pages back. Usually, they appear in preliminary images but get replaced with the "normal" droid-armed ones later. For some reason, this time, there's an actual, tangible minifig. That might mean it won't get replaced, but seeing what happened in other lines, i doubt it. The portal seems to have eight long blue pieces as the "portal". I think they might be transparent. I wish they included some sort of feature so when you put all the rings in, the pieces spiral out from the sides of the portal. Maybe I'll try to make modifications so it can do that. Oh, and is it just me, or is there no spot for the red key to be put in on the portal? At the bottom of the ring is some grey piece, which might be the holder. EDIT: yes, it is. I can't understand why it's not on the top of the portal, but instead at the bottom. Plus, it's not vertical! That ruins the appearance of the portal for me, so I'll fix that error when i get it. =)

That's just solidified my decision, and made my day. Yes! Closed-helmet pilot! Oh, and Slave 1 looks great. Two must-buys, no matter the cost.

Well... That's surprising. Still don't think I'll get it, but nice feature.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Delta 38 replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If either of the series comes to a store near me, I think I will really buy the whole box. If not, still, I have some hope that they'll be in a future theme. -
I agree with the first masks (and possibly a few after that) being good. A few years ago, I dug up and rebuilt my old Toa (Mata). Now, I'm wishing I got more mask packs while there were still some in shops, because I want each of the Toa's masks in the six main colours. Too late for that, I guess... My favourite mask, though, is probably the Pakari mask.

Noticed something very strange just then. The new alien (the ape-like thing with the blue/green head and orange torso) has a strange head. The hole which connects the torso to the head seems to be located on the green part, giving it a hunched look. Interesting.

Actually, if you check on Lego Digital Designer (an application by Lego which allows you to make your own models and buy them), you can find the Aqua Raiders helmet in there. That suggests they're still producing it.
-
The house module is very nice. Can minifigs actually fit inside it, or is it just for decoration? Either way, still good. I can see it being expanded to connect to part of a colony, or something.

Well, it's a bit of a disappointment that the General Grievous' Starfighter set had the prelim cockpit. I also don't really like the burned Darth Vader, I'd wanted a new helmet, but ever since the first prelim, that wasn't a possibility. I've just thought of what Anakin might be standing on in the Clone Turbo Tank set. Maybe it's a board of some sort? I'm thinking of some sort of hovering thing. The Scout trooper in one of the images is odd. That made me think... if the next setting of the line is going to be Endor, maybe we'll finally see Scout troopers in a cheap set, hopefully in a battle pack.

I like the technique used for the legs and Carbine. The shield could be larger (if such a part existed), but otherwise, quite good.
-
The base plate and snow are designed perfectly. Nice turret and Snowspeeder, too. EDIT: or would that be a tower? I'd always thought of it as a turret.

Tombclone: Ye Olde Stage Coach MOC
Delta 38 replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The cactus and vulture look very good. I like the build used for the vulture, I wouldn't have thought of that. -
Power Miners: Modified Lavatraz
Delta 38 replied to Dunjohn's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Looks very nice. It's a pity the actual set doesn't have so much detail to the environment. -
Actually, I like the new helmet. Initially, I wasn't too interested, since I didn't find the idea of human factions too interesting. Then, I saw the new helmet, plus easy ways to get full-face helmets. I like the impulse sets, too. I hope I can find them, because impulse sets are generally hard to find in my area. I never thought I'd see a new use for a thornax, but putting them in a catapult seems logical.

World Racers Summer 2010
Delta 38 replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think the best thing about this line may be the new minifigs. I can see lots of new torsos, and nice parts like green Power Miners helmets, and my personal favourite, the flaming skull helmet and flaming torso. The trophy is probably a new piece, too. Has anyone noticed there's a new trophy (hopefully not a sticker on the same piece!) for every environment/set? I do like the vehicles themselves, though. I'll most likely get all of them except for the largest set, if I can afford them all.
