If it is for public display at shows and events, I'd prefer to use the sturdy construction method. Young kids and some adults do not understand the do not touch signs. I think there is a limit to number of times you can rebuild your MOC before going postal.

I am not aware of anyone having done that. If me, I would download the instructions from Lego.com and print out the part list pages. Then take count of which part is used on the printout when stepping through the build instructions of the engine on the computer screen.

Fixed my broken fridge door handle with a 2x8 plate.

Ouch, did you have to drill out the broken bolt? I put anti-seize on my new bolts. Hopefully, they'll come out easy in the future.

You do realize there is a whole bunch of us over 40 here.

I use a 10L axle to push out other axles. It's long enough for me to get a good grip on it and pull out after the stuck axle is pushed out. For axles that can't be push, I use a pair of small needle nose pliers to pull.

Would you prefer to buy a house with 9 foot ceilings or 7 foot ceilings? I think many people like the higher ceilings even though it costs more energy to heat or cool.
