Not sure what happened, must have had the wrong tab. Sorry.

We can have the CCBS system in lower scale and get the best of both worlds. LEGO really care about inter-system compatibility. I really hope the future involves something like this. HF is cool, but I survived moving on from Bionicle to HF, I can survive another change if the new system is so cool.

But many of the work put in HF building system seems to have been applied in the new joints or vice versa. The most important part of the HF system seems to be the ball cups that seem to not ever break, the new small ball cups seem to reuse the concept. What I am thinking about is the HF system with small balls.

I just read this: http://www.newelementary.com/2013/12/new-legends.html Now I think that LEGO *must* scrap/rework Hero HF and replace with a new theme/reboot that uses the small ball joints.

You mean Bionicle it was only around for more than twice the amount of years HF was?

Nobody really cares about the story excuses to sell toys. Transformers and Bionicles are robots for 99% of the populace.

As long as the theme has a sci-fi setting and good action figure parts and well designed sets, I don't care the name.

The first batches had no legs. Even my catalog inventory doesn't list legs. It appears they never intended to include legs. But the box art had a picture of complete Meca One in the scale comparison, so many people probably complained. I heard that LEGO added legs to later production batches and that for a while they were sending legs for the people who complained about not getting them. But I bought my Striking Venom far later and it turned out to be one of the fist batches :/

What's your favorite Hero Factory XL set ?
vexorian replied to Legofan225's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Rotor. -
I must clarify that my LEGO movie comment was a completely out of nowhere speculation. Although it does make some sense. But really, you spoiled Americans. I am not even sure we'll get this wave AT ALL around here. We barely had 1/4 of brain attack this year, and I had to wait till last week for it, and not in the usual big LEGO retailer I use. It appears that Chima truly did "replace" HF in here.

They want no distractions in promoting the LEGO movie. What a bummer about the armors not fitting a minifigure. Combined with the cockpits that can't easily hold normal figures and how unnecessarily tall the MFs are. It is almost as if the designers were actively trying to make the concept of this wave fail as absurdly as possible. I am so disappointed, really. Sure, they are much better than the Bionicle figures, but that's not exactly a difficult accomplishment to have.

My favorite Kaiju , although that doesn't say much. At least this beast has some personality due to the "wings" and spikes. This is the most likely way I'll be getting the awesome trans orange chains. Plus it is the only set with Breeze on it. I can't think of a worse bone color than Azure, and LEGO seem to be using that color in ALL the Kaijus. What a shame.
-
I had to wait till a week ago to get 1/2 of the first brain attack wave. Just saying.
-
I'd still would have liked the trans pieces.

I am in love.

Good stuff. I think I will use Rocka's legs to finally give legs to my Meca One that doesn't have legs because I got him in Striking Venom. Lovely bulky mech design. Can't complain about the minifigure accessories or the new HF minifigure robot parts in gold. The pod looks truly bad.
-
It occurs to me minifigure heads could/should have been transparent. That would have really been the most awesome thing ever. Too bad.
-
Another weak Kaiju. The guy looks so plain. The only good point are the parts. New feet and cool transparent bricks. Although because the transparent bricks are light blue, I am not going to rush to buy this guy.

Review: 44021 Splitter Beast vs Furno and Evo
vexorian replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Very weak set. Instead of a two-headed monster build, we just get two generic humanoids forced to look like a two-headed guy. And it doesn't work so well for parts, either. The azure bones are a huge turn off and the price is not funny. It even has two minfiigures that are already in other sets, Evo being in already two other sets. I pass. -
REVIEW: 71004 LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series
vexorian replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love Emmet's head figure. Both the main face and the super happy face are must have for me. I'll probably get at least one of each figure in this series. Because the hoodie is used in the sets. I guess they want you to get the sets too instead of just buying the CMFs. Movie is likely going to blow regarding gender. The only talking female characters in the trailer are Wildstyle and Wonder Woman, and WW's only use seems to be the invisible jet joke. And Wildstyle reminds me of this: http://www.newstatesman.com/culture/2013/08/i-hate-strong-female-characters . I wish the actual movie turns out to somehow be much different in regards of gender than what the trailers are suggesting.- 131 replies

The light blue minifig head in furno looks like an odd choice of color.
