  1. Thank you guys! I just combined my will to use that motor with my love for the small car Hopefully there are other possibilities with that cute set
  2. Héhéhé I laughed Too bad for the blurriness of the pictures, but thumbs up for the editing Will you make other comics? I like it!
  3. It's 3177 fever! You'll tell me :" Meh, off-road small car, big tires etc, this has already been done Decale! Stop flooding!" So what's new with this version of the small car? You have two photos to guess As you may have supposed, my small off-road car is equipped with a PULL-BACK MOTOR!!! But forgive me because I have cheated... It only fits half a minifig If only you could see it race on my apartment's floor! It takes one or two second to speed up (a lot of parts for this poor little motor!) but once it's gone, wwwwwooosh P.S.: It's my 100th post! I know I not very present in the forums but I enjoy every minute I spend here
  4. Nice family you have here Dr Spock!!! The convertible is cool, the black is classy and the kid2 one is sooo fisher price Makes me want to show my latest mod. I LOVE 3177
  5. Hey I'm french, from Bordeaux! I think I have a few compatriotes here such as lego-maniac aaaand... well some more guys. I don't think English is a hated language. It is international, simple and very useful!
  6. Brickshelf folder is now public
  7. Oh you're so right about the legs! It definitely needs some contrast. And for the proportion problem, while building (starting from the legs) I thought:"Wait, this body is going to be way too big" and then... I suppose I forgot Fuel tank is just a R2 unit body, I wanted something bigger, but the legs are really fragile. Thank you very much for you advices TheWarden
  8. this one {Doctor Swann}(almost crying) -May I launch the dynamite now? I don't want to be roasted like this poor man! {Riley Moore} -No! Not yet. We have no chance of making it through the street to H.Q. if that thing sees us... In the future (sooner than you may think), robots have taken the control of the planet and eliminated most of the population. A resistance has been organized, and many groups hide in the ruins of the city and fight to death for their freedom. But one by one, they are found and killed. Yeah, I know, the guy who made the Terminator movies totally stole me the plot!!! Here is a better shot of it all: It all started with an idea for robot legs and a will to use a lot of flame parts. Then I thought it desserved some more details and a little story for your entertainment The robot is very very ugly and I'm not sure about the ground... but I like the fact that every inch has an cool-looking detail (big fire, dead man covered in blood...) Bigger pics and other angles will be available soon in my Brickshelf, so don't hesitate to come back tomorrow. (I like this one) Comments and criticism truly appreciated! Have a nice day
  9. Now THIS is a cool convertible! You improved your model very well, I'm a conformist! my friend
  10. Your city is a joyful and colorful mess! I love it. I'm sure you can't reach the suburbs You really have a nice collection, thank you for sharing!
  11. Lol thanks
  12. Yours sure looks better than mine Fuzzylegobricks I like it but why did you take of the doors and the steering wheel? It's okay to enter a convertible without doors but the driver will have a hard time trying to turn At least yours can still carry the suitcase Can't wait to see your MOC for the Brickcon! I'm a conformist!
  13. Hello you all I remember having seen some times ago a lot of EB members modding heavily the small car (even adding treads!). After finding on a garage sale (actually un vide-grenier, but I don't know if there's an equivalence in english) an old Safari Off-Road Vehicle (only missing the monkey and two tapes), I couldn't resist making a tribute to this really pretty set. So here it is, Yeah, it's quite ugly I had in mind to keep specific parts of the design: the tools attached to the back, the big wheels and red working suspensions, the square headlights and of course the wonderful printed doors and 2x2 tile. 20 years later, new car, new pilot, but same problem with monkeys! I had fun mixing the new and the old car, and trying to figure out how to make a chassis of the same dimension of the original (the 3177 comes with a one-piece chassis). (Bigger and other angles pics available on my brickshelf when the folder will be public) Have a good day fellows! Paul
  14. has the coolest hobby ever, and so do you!

  15. He looks great! You did a very good job with the sharpie, I'm sure TLG's version would look like this one if they ever buy the license.
  16. Oh yeah you were right, I didn't see him on this angle. As a fan, you may know Ragnarock's version of Rex! Just beautiful
  17. I didn't know this one, but after a quick google-ing, I'd like to say: are you sure? Oh, and also it made me want to sell my xbox, buy a ps3 and enjoy MGS4 ! Yeah you can always end up with some cool and different-looking designs by mixing old and new parts. Actually, I have to admit the choice of parts is limited by my...limited collection of parts. If you create something cool with this windscreen, don't forget to show me!
  18. Thank you very much guys! As you can see, I'm working hard to improve! I just had those two WorldRacers bikes, and the idea of a contrast (although not in color) between pirate torsos and high-tech stuff to finally create an army seemed sexy to me.
  19. Awesome scene! It very full of action, almost like a capture from a SF movie! I like how it doesn't need the whole castle to be efficient. It's a perfect creation for me, I see no bad point Congrats for being frontpaged! I'm a conformist!
  20. Oh, too bad you don't like it, that's precisely something I found amusing and helping creating the "camouflage" look of the hut. Glad you like the rocks, I did my best to hide some studs and make them look... rocky. Thank you Enpaz! Another thing I regret with this moc: lack of blue plates! Well, you can still imagine there's a pond here
  21. Hello again AFOL comrades, I'm proud to show you a MOC I like a lot, Metal Gear Red Sorry Metal Gear Solid fans, this guy doesn't belong to the universe! It's just that the head, foot, legs -well the shape of it all- reminded me strongly of metal gear rex (and maybe of the geckos of MGS4). I also like this picture (epic, isn't it?) because in MGS games, mechas are often represented roaring like savage beasts, making the player almost forgetting he is fighting a machine piloted by a human and not a giant animal. The captain and pilot is posing with it and his minions. They are doted with armored bikes with removable bazookas. Now please take a look at the beast: from down to up: -Gatling gun, in case infantry would try to pass between the legs. -Double 2x2 long range grenade launchers -Double air-pulsed machine guns, anti-armored vehicles ammunitions. -And of course two nuclear heads (maybe to small? bah, I don't really like nuclear stuff, but it's more MetalGear-like) The two missiles are on an arm that can adjust to find the perfect angle to... well, to nuke your face actually And here is where the pilot takes place So, that's it, finally a MOC I like a lot, I worked a lot on colors and shapes, experimented with SNOT techniques (I used two collectible minifigs stands, can you find them?) I'm still limited in parts, so everything is a challenge to me, but I like it this way! I'll be really happy to have some criticisms and advices as always! (you can find some more, bigger pictures here as well as some shots of the back, the bikes etc) Bonus pics: The two factions at war: This guy is a real warrior
  22. Thank you for your enthusiasm Gregorovich. I like the idea of the balcony too, it's just the grey 1x1 clip that doesn't work. I don't know if it exists in brown.
  23. Thank you very much lightningtiger! I prefer Johnny too (although I'm french, so no patriotic fiber involved), and Jake Raines doesn't appeal to me. I may be nostalgic, or maybe it's just that Raines doesn't even have a hat! What a playboy... tssk
  24. Deep in the jungle of Dino Island, one can hear some noise in a little pond. Is that a fish following the steps of evolution (skipping the "walking on two legs" one) and trying to fly? No! It's Professor Charles Lightning, interrupting his work to find something for dinner! Hello, Eurobricks fellows, I am pleased to show you my latest Adventurers MOC: Dino Island treehouse observatory When the big old tree that had grown on the rocks was hit by a flash of lightning, the adventurers decided to reinforce the trunk and install a small (but well equipped) observatory on the top of it. It took me a few hours to make, I'm glad I finally could use almost every brown part in my possession. Here are some features: Protected entrance: The gray metallic scale can also be folded up. I don't know if it prevents monkeys from intruding into the hut, but I'm pretty sure velociraptors won't get up there. A shot of the interior: Prof Lightning can study the map of the island while Johnny Thunder is maneuvering the radar thing to track the migration of the pterodactyls (yeah, they probably don't do that, but they don't even exist anymore so don't bother me with that ) But look, Johnny and Miss Storm just came back after a day of picking: Well this was an excuse to show you my half-track, inspired by the one of the Pharaoh's Quest theme, as well as little different johnny with short sleeves and brown pants with gun holster. If you are interested, you can find some more (and bigger) pictures on my brickshelf What can I say... after acquiring a lot of greenery thanks to a EB member, I wanted to create a MOC like the ones I see so often around here (understand: with a lot of similar parts in a way I couldn't have done before my dark ages). Some of my regrets are the lack of dark gray or dark bley in my collection ( the contrast is ugly ) and the fact that my only other palm tree trunk was this big one-piece thing from a spongebob set. I have no problem with it being one-piece only, but the base (4x4) is wayyy too big. I know it's not perfect, but I try to improve every day, so guys (and ladies) criticism and advices are more than welcome Questions are welcome too and you can even congratulate me if you want Hope you liked it, Paul
