  1. I'm a bass player to! I learned piano when I was young but quitted after 5 yearsn finding it boring. As a teenager, I started to learn bass by myself using my brother's instrument, and then I had to learn guitar to show to a a guitarist friend a song I would have liked to play with him. Now I'm in a band, I only play bass on stage ( and sometimes a bassy bluesy guitar with a bottleneck, grrr) but I sometimes compose for our singer/guitarist and our lead guitarist. I also wrote a few songs, including one whitch subject is the novel IT by Stephen King, entitled Derry, Maine. I own a Fender Precision bass standard through a Hartke Kickass 15 (120watts) with a Proco Rat distortion. I also own a Squier 51 electric guitar ( see how I use it on the song "derry maine") and a Harley Benton HBCG 45 modified with a 30 years old pick-up from a jazz guitar that belonged to my grand-father. It would be nice if someone take a look to our songs on youtube! (Please take note that most of the video are old, we are better now!) http://www.youtube.com/poldecale http://www.myspace.com/weezymingo Our myspace is quite dead... But let me know if you like our songs!!!
  2. Thank you KielDaMan! For the next french guy, you should try "Bonjour et bienvenue sur Eurobricks" ^^ Uhuhu it doesn't matter cause I'm sure I make a lot of mistakes in only one sentence. I'm here almost every day and really enjoy it :)
  3. I agree with you Commodore Hornbricker, although I buy Pirates sets to add parts for my Adventurers! I wouldn't hesitate too long if I have the opportunity to buy some cheap indy sets (cheapness is important to me, poor poor student) but what bothers me is the fleshy minifigs. Their design is great but damn! They're not yellow!!! :p I suppose there is some sort of yellow/flesh debate in the forums. I'll search for it. P.S.: I love your comics
  4. Hello everybody, Although I've been looking for a lot of topics and MOCs for a while now, I had never introduced myself. First of all, My name is Paul, I live in Bordeaux where I study to work as a librarian (well I try). I'm reeeaaally new to the use of forums, but there are a lot of good-looking tutorials to make my apparitions here less painful, and I hope some friendly EB members will help me correct my mistakes :). Now for what really matters: I love Lego since the age of -very young boy-. I had some old basic stuff from my older brother but really fell in love with the adventurers line, one or two years before I stopped almost all lego-related activity, due to teenage/rock music/bass playing etc... Last year, I found the so cool jet of X-treme team for 1€ and a half on PriceMinister, and then [..blah blah..] I bought a lot of old and new sets and cheap mixed parts on Leboncoin. My new collection is quite small compared to what I've seen here, you mad buyers! :p (I keep my old collection of basic mocs, adventurers and city into boxes, and consider them as "memories" and who knows, a time-capsule for eventual children?) I have some agents sets, some old adventurers sets and parts, as well as some exoforce, a theme which appeared and disappeared while I was doing something else, far far away from any Toys r us. I would really like to build some cool Adventurer moc, like a base(I prefer the yellow Johnny Thunder to the fleshy Indy, is that a crime?), but I think that for a while everything I will build will look like what I built as a kid, not realistic but with good playability. Anyway, I am very open to any future criticism, as it is really a great joy for me to discuss with other AFOLs! Any other Adventurers lover around here? Show me your stuff buddy :D
