MOC: The Goodbury Turbine
Decale replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is old-school and modern at the same time! I like the use of the exo-force sticker. It's a very good model, as well as the other one you put on flickr. Good job Peppermint_M! -
Hi Enpaz! You are thinking of giving 8 windows with their glasses? And that great torso too! How do we procede for shipping?
-
I am. PM sent
-
I have two printed parts to give: One is a left side and the other one a right side, but if you already have the other side, you can complete it. They seem quite rare (appearing in one set) but are of no use to me and I'll be happy if someone want them!
-
Awesome job on this temple Gabe! The build in general is sweet (tan... ), those statues you put in the front seem to be able to move (!) and I love the way you added the alien touch in the story (gives us great ideas for a Pharaoh's Quest/Alien Conquest crossover!!!) There are so many good creations in this contest, it'll be hard to choose who I'll vote for.

Hi man, how did you made those awesome custom torsos? Quality is just perfect!
-
Wow your minifig is so old-school and so cool . Actually, you just made me remember of a previous similar MOC (a summer MOC, made without my complete collection of parts) which looked like that: It had stage diving AND topless chick! Hey you seem to know what you're talking about! The orange one represents his Ds-1, the grey one being a Dunlop Cry-Baby. Thanks brickyrob, but my name's Decale and you can call me Paul And for the MOC, I know it's sad to rip it apart, but it's only covering day after day with more and more dust and I may need some parts for other creations...

Hello dear EB members, this is a MOC I have been wanting to do for a while, like :"I have so many ideas! It's gonna be so great!", but didn't really finished, mostly because of a lack of parts (and inspiration). There are still some details I like a little, so I would like to show you, before total destruction: MY BAND View of the stage and crazy audience (Sorry for the vomit quality, I had to use my phone. Insects died in the lens...) Close-up of the stage: There may be something like 200 1x1 red tiles here. At least, I found a use for them! Although the whole scenes lacks of details, I'm quite proud of the drums. I couldn't find on the internet a satisfying lego drumkit. Mine is a little too big, but no element is out of place. I also like the amps, I had fun with SNOT on the 2 guitar amps and nearly got a headache while trying to fix the net on the big bass amplifier. It's sturdy and has no illegal connection I would have liked to ad lights, backstage with girls and drugs, sound technicians, even a tour bus but I lost motivation. Thank you for having a look guys, more pics on Flickr. Comments and critics appreciated! (there's always a weird old guy in this kind of events, and you don't know if you should be afraid of him or just laugh. There he is!)

Death and his servant and granddaughter
Decale replied to L-space's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Oh that's great! even the Librarian is here! I would have used the rock monster for Lias too, although it lacks details and charisma and can't be modified..can't see something better. Great rendition of the back of the b-Oook oook I'm not sure the illustrator Josh Kirby actually reads the book very well, his covers are always a bit different from what you can read, but he transcribed the feeling of general madness quite right. I'm browsing through your work on flickr, it's very impressive, I hope to see more! -
Death and his servant and granddaughter
Decale replied to L-space's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Based on the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. Great (parody of) Heroic-Fantasy writings! A very dense universe, funny anachronisms, awesome characters... Try it! -
Show us your loot as soon as you can!

Death and his servant and granddaughter
Decale replied to L-space's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
This is awesome L-space! I just happen to be reading "Soul Music" at this very moment Did you paint Death's eyes or is it just editing? This is exactly how I see him. I'm not sure for Albert, isn't he older? Are you planning to do Imp, Lias and Glod as well? I repeat, awesome. -
I turned one of the mummies torso in the Pharaoh's Quest set with the bike so the two mummies are different (+ the double-sided heads). I think it's a great and simple improvement if you want some variety in your mummy army!

Well I may have exaggerated a bit, but I had a strong feeling that this truck was suffering a lot for being... different. Fixed him. Didn't suffer. Now this is weird! Does SNOT prevent you from sleeping? Some sets must give you a serious head-ache! No offense intended of course, I do things like that too. I remember as a kid having inverted an Adventurer's car windshield, but can't find what set it was...
-
You are not alone Siegfried! The left and right sides of the lego truck (under the doors) are made the same way and that doesn't make the cabin symmetrical! I changed that so I could sleep at night
-
Great! This drastic change is what EVERY AFOL HERE has ever been wanting! Who cares about lego? It's full of sharp edges and almost totally UN-PINK! Blah My eyes bleed a little but it's ok
-
Damn, I would have had the time to make something better, cleaner, smarter...

Hi guys, thanks for this raffle! Aaand... sorry for my crappy last minute entry... The clone commander had to hire a detective to find the traitor in his squad: If you wonder, the scared Mrs Puff stands for the white Fett!
-
I'd like to say to the lucky winners that I'm not jealous. Not at all. Just a little bit I had a great time looking at all the entries, the realistic ones, the fantastic ones, and the erm.. special ones, and I think this kind of raffle is very good to keep th forum full of life. Can we expect more and more different raffles in the future? I hope so! Thanks CopMike!
-
Excellent build! I love the broken glass and the green goo. The red lights totally ad realism, it is really efficient. It's too bad the fan's motor makes so much noise, but that's not your fault. It's a perfect sci-fi scene for me! May I borrow your little bug's design for later MOCs?

D2C Contest: 10234 Ignacia Village
Decale replied to quy's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow quy, it's always a pleasure to see a new D2C entry, but yours really is amazing. I don't know if I'll dare posting my own entry now It could be a set such a medieval market village, it has the good feeling. I like how you put some nice details and not so common techniques, but not more than lego designers would actually do. I wonder if it shouldn't show so more modern aspects of every day life, knowing that there are motorized vehicles in Ninjago, but it works welle this way too. So thumbs up , and good luck in the contest -
This is a really good replica! And by replica I mean copy and paste. I don't see the point in what you are doing here bpwilly3, but you surely are not making friends...
-
Thank you very much for your help Oky , this is exactly the kind of advice I needed even though it may seem obvious. It's ok, I don't mind, hopefully I'll learn some more things. "how to participate in the Flickr community" was the question I had in mind, but I wrote several lines instead

Hi everyone, (I searched for a topic like that but type the word "flickr" in the search bar and see what you find...) To share MOC with EB members, I chose the solution of Brickshelf, which satisfies me. But as I browsed through the Brothers Brick blog, I found myself looking in Flickr, going from a user to another one, seeing their galleries, all the comments, the little squares you can make on an image to comment precisely a part of a moc, etc... this is amazing! This is a real complement to the community that is Eurobricks. That's why I created my account. But I'm not really familiar with how this all work: how do you have mates and take part in groups without looking awkward? I mean, what should I do to have a good time on flickr, sharing thoughts and building ideas with other AFOLs? If somebody can teach me the "first steps", thank you Sorry if a similar topic has already been done, or if mine is not considered interesting. Feel free to suppress it
