I really like Voyager. It was a really novel idea, with them being the only Starfleet people for thousands of light years. Also, it allowed for a ton of new aliens and plot twists. Plus, I loved how they included the Borg for pretty much the entire last 3 seasons. DS9 was also really good, and once again was really novel with the fact that it was on a station and not a ship. Again, it had a lot of new aliens and wasn't just about a bunch of missions on a starship. Also, what I liked a lot about DS9 and Voyager was that they had overlying plot lines that sometimes spanned the whole series (like with Voyager). DS9 also had the Dominion war, which allowed for huge space and land battles. For the first time, huge fleets were included frequently, with complex interaction between all the major species, not just stand alone episodes. All in all, the TV series have been a lot better than the movies. I really hope they start another one.

Good start, but it looks unfinished. Also, the colors don't really go together.

I just saw this movie last night, and I don't share your same enthusiasm. While the special effects and battles were amazing, the story and character development were kind of weak. While the acting was good (except for the first 10 minutes), they did little to change the characters. While it was nice that Nimoy was in the movie, Nero (Eric Bana) for being the main bad guy was barely in the movie. He only had like 20 lines and wasn't really explained. Also, the story was had some holes and problems in it. Still, it was a lot better than most Star Trek movies and hopefully will have a sequel and maybe a TV series. And here is my list of the good and bad movies. Good: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Star Trek: First Contact Star Trek: Nemesis Star Trek Bad: Star Trek: The Motion Picture Star Trek III: The Search for Spock Star Trek V: The Final Frontier Star Trek: Generations Star Trek: Insurrections And the TV Series. Good: The Next Generation Deep Space Nine Voyager Enterprise Bad: The Original Series

What I really want to see is Lego make more OT and less CW. I wouldn't even mind a few more PT sets, but the CW is taking over. I also want Lego to do more playsets and to take signature and recognizable things from the movies and make those instead of obscure stuff. They need to work on making everything once before redoing old sets.

I am really excited about the RBR. With the price at $250, it will definitely be a very nice and detailed rendition of the RBR. Hopefully it will include a good amount of figures. Princess Leia, C3PO and R2-D2, 2 Rebel Troopers, Captain Antilles, Darth Vader, and 2 Stormtroopers would be great.

The 7190 should really be out of the question. It is the oldest and least detailed of all of them. As for the rest, it depends on what you want it for. If you want playability, get 4504. If you have a huge space and want a big USC model, get the 10179. If you still want a model but have limited space, get the Mid-Scale one. I had the 4504, and it was a great set to play with. The interior was easily accessible and had a lot of detail on the inside and out.

I am hoping that it is a RBR and not Cloud City. If you guys look at the article, he hints that a ESB set will be released in 2010, not 2009.

I have never watched GI Joe, and never watched Transformers. I was afraid that Transformers would suck because it was based on a Hasbro toy. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised, and it was really good. I have seen the previews for GI Joe, and I think that it will be like Transformers, and be pretty good.

Early Star Wars Lego set Collection - your thoughts...
SWMAN replied to Pete Milligan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I am not saying he should hold onto them forever, but when the theme ends, he should look around and figure out how much he can make. There is a point, as with anything you have to sell because the price will drop. But, he should at least wait a little while. -
The blu-ray players is a definite plus for the PS3, but these days a lot of people have already gotten one.

Early Star Wars Lego set Collection - your thoughts...
SWMAN replied to Pete Milligan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
For the time, the sets were great. But, 10 years later, they pretty much suck. Low detail, very rough edges small in size, and poor minifigure variety. I think you should go ahead and keep the sets. They will be worth ten-fold when the theme ends. -
Why havent they resurrected the robin hood series?
SWMAN replied to The Chronicler's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I am guessing that they were currently working on a new theme and decided to end it. By this point, Classic Castle was almost at an end, and those sets were just about it. -
Lego Star Wars 10th anniversary exclusive on May 3 and 4
SWMAN replied to Commander Assassin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While it is a nice looking poster, I wish they would have taken the time to include variants. There is only one Super Battle Droid on the poster, yet there are three different variations that have been released. Also, some figures are shown as both Fleshie and Yellow, while others, such as the B-Wing and A-Wing pilots, are only show fleshie. -
Why havent they resurrected the robin hood series?
SWMAN replied to The Chronicler's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I have a feeling we won't be seeing these. The current Castle theme is more of a Fantasy line, where the classic castle was more historically accurate. Robin Hood doesn't really belong in a fantasy theme. -
I have a Wii, but I really want a 360. It has a great selection of games and really good graphics. The Wii has a limited game selection and poor graphics. Unfortunately, the novelty of the Wii remote wears off.

I don't know if you have access to one, but Lego stores are the best option when it comes to buying sets that are hard to find anywhere else.

Rammstien is pretty amazing. Even though they make no sense, the music is still really cool. It is almost better that I can't understand them, because then I can just focus on the rhythm and music without having to focus on the words.

Very nice MOC. I really like the story behind it. Great idea and great execution.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
SWMAN replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I have a feeling it won't continue. With the way the series ended, it wouldn't be a good idea to continue it. Plus, with Salvation coming out on May 22nd (Hell Yeah!), the stories would probably contradict. -
From what I have seen of the first Clone Wars game from them as well as playing TFU on the Wii, I am not too excited. First of all, the game sounds entirely unoriginal. A Jedi game where you can play co-op and use force powers. Sounds like every other Jedi game out there. The only thing that will be nice is that it will be for PS3 and the 360, which means better graphics than there previous games. Oh, and actually it is not called KOTOR. The game has been confirmed as just Star Wars: The Old Republic and will be a MMORPG and is set a few hundred years either before or after (can't remember) KOTOR. And even making games for the PS2 is becoming kind of outdated. They end up outsourcing they development to the companies that do the Wii games because both of those have crummy graphics. With better systems like the 360, the PS2 is becoming more and more obsolete. Besides, most new games are only available on the 360 and PS3. Don't mean to drag on here, but the PS3 and 360 have taken over the market for all the good games. The Wii can't support most new good games, so they either just don't have them or try, and fail, to make a version for the Wii, such as COD 5 or TFU.

While the tank looks pretty good, the interviews that they have done recently are really a waste of time. The answers are obviously scripted, providing little insight into what actually goes on. Of course the designer has a personal favorite ship. He just can't say it though. With only 3-4 broad questions being asked, little info is given on what actually goes on.

After seeing the new, "official" pics from Lego, I am kind of disappointed with the set. First off, Lego could have included a few more figures. Maybe a couple pilots and an Endor trooper, or maybe even Nien Nunb. With how massive the ship is, it doesn't really feel like they did it justice. I think that they should have broken it up into multiple sets, with the Control/Conference room bigger but by itself and the hangar bay bigger but by itself.
-
Wow. This looks really stupid. Lego could do so much better. With the great Lego games that have come out recently, this is really a step backwards. It could be so much better.

revisiting my mocs: weapons' shop
SWMAN replied to medieval_total_lego's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Just FYI, the Brickshelf links for both your topics go to your Black Knight Inn. -
Welcome to Eurobricks, we are all really excited to have you here. Just a few things though. When it comes to typing and grammar, please don't use all Bold letters. Also, please use punctuation's and sentences. Other than that, welcome.
