Personally, they are a little too plane and boring. With only two colors, there isn't a lot of variety.

This is really a great show. While they do make a big deal out of all the science and math involved, I really love the whole idea and overall execution of the show.

You are probably right. From what I have read, the movie was pretty inaccurate.
-
Unfortunately, not in the US yet.

Very cool. You really stuck to the original Y-Wing design very well.

I hope that if the new set is Cloud City that Lego doesn't do what they did last time. Instead of doing the platform and a little bit of each part of the city, they should stick to one main section like the Carbon-Freezing chamber. They could include Lando, Han, Leia, Chewie, Darth Vader, a couple Ughnauts, Boba Fett, a Stormtrooper and a Bespin Guard.

The Holocaust was Hitler's planned extermination of the Jews and all other inferior races in the German Empire. D-Day was when the American's (and British) kicked some German a** in France.

Holy Crap. That is insane. I realize that Playstation had the Eye Toy, but this is a whole new level. I am guessing that it will work with the basic games that they demonstrated like racing and fighting and then it will expand into more and eventually all games. I am curious how it would work with lets say a Call of Duty game or Bioshock, where you have a lot more things you have to do. This does look a lot better than the Wii.

Wow. That is amazing.

From what I understand the costuming was pretty accurate in the movie. While the story and William Wallace were both way overdramatized, I am pretty sure the costumes, weapons, and battles were pretty accurate. Gibson loves historical movies, and I am pretty sure he did it right.

It would be great if they did, but they wouldn't be called Scotsmen. They would probably be the reincarnation of the Wolf Pack.

He means for purchasing, not looking at.

This game looks simply epic. Unfortunately, it will be a MMORPG, which I am not a fan of.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is rated PG

First of all, this doesn't belong here. Second of all, this doesn't really seem that relevant. -
This is really a great set. The two things that stand out are the Tauntaun and the new goggles on the Rebels. I hope that Lego will continue this idea of a "bigger" battle pack with a little more substance. They are great excuses to give us both a Hero that we have way too many of and something totally new.

It's all about Capitalist economics. It's a competitive market out there, and with a lot of other toy sales dwindling due to less play value and overall bang for your buck, Lego has become a major player. With the increase in demand comes the increase in price. While I am not happy about the price increase, it comes with inflation and a capitalist economy.

What effect does Toy Story have on future WW sets?
SWMAN replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I really hope that Lego doesn't go with Duplo for Cars and Toy Story, but I am afraid they will. I won't be buying them either way, but I don't want to see great movies ruined by lame toys. -
Very cool. I love the detail.

The graphics looked really bad and overall it didn't look that great. Hopefully they do the same thing with this game as they did with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman.

While the PT has some merit when it comes to big battles and cool special affects, story and acting wise the OT is way better. When it comes to Lego's, the OT is also the best. I think the PT could have been executed a lot better if they had gotten some decent actors and reworked the lines so they weren't so stagnant.

I have played Portal, and it is a great game as well. Also, I am not big into modding or anything like that. I am a traditionalist when it comes to games and my Lego's.

So, I just recently began playing Half-Life 2, and I love it. Not only is the gameplay fun, but the story is probably the most engaging I have ever encountered. I have beaten the original game and Episode 1 and 2. I cannot wait until Episode 3 comes out. While it is a few years old and the graphics aren't as amazing as games such as COD 4, the story easily makes up for it. Also, I love the unique gameplay. For those who haven't played, there are no mission objectives. There is no menu that tells you what you have accomplished and what you need to accomplish. There is no map with where you are and where your objective is. There are two ways you figure out what to do. One of the AI characters tells you or you guess. On most games you can turn off the volume if you want. This one, you can't. And while in most levels there is only one way to go, you still have to find where to go and what to do a lot of the time. The game also has one of the best weapons ever, the Gravity Gun. With this, you can pick up most small objects and throw them at pesky Combine soldiers or you can push a car over an Antlion holes. The enemies are also challenging, and even on easy, the game is still very challenging. Overall, these are the best games I have ever played.

I was just at the Lego Store at Disney World, and still no new sets. They had the new Castle, Power Miner, Agent, and I believe City sets, but no new Star Wars.
-
I cannot wait until Half-Life 2: Episode 3
-
They are all available in the US except the new Star Wars sets.
