Very nice. I love the detail on the walls as well as the art piece in the middle. Can't wait to see the rest of it.

I am on Steam, and personally, I am not a huge fan. While games like Half-Life 2 are amazing and work perfectly on Steam, others like Empire: Total War have been plagued by problems from the beginning. The fact that you don't own a physical copy of the game and instead are relying on a download from the internet means that there is a greater chance of having problems. Plus, you have to hassle with both Steam and the game developer to get support. They pass you off to each other like a football. Still, it is a great all around service. Back to the Lucasarts part of your post, I am excited about this. I am hoping they add the Jedi Knight series as well.

If we are looking at Spielberg both directing and producing, he has done a ton of great movies after Saving Private Ryan. Minority Report, Disturbia, Eagle Eye, War of the Worlds. While Saying Private Ryan is probably his best movie ever, he is still a great director. Just because he likes Transformers and Bay doesn't make him senile. Haven't we gone over the respect issue before? Also, if you didn't see the Batman films, you can't really say that you are glad Bale isn't doing Justice League, because you have no idea if he is a good Batman. Don't be so quick to judge and insult people and things. And even though you just said that Tintin is a comic like Garfield and Snoopy, you are downplaying it to a comic in the sunday newspaper instead of a real comic book. Even without coming out and saying it is lowly, you are doing it and insulting it.

Very nice MOC's. I have seen bits and pieces of the movie, and really liked it. I have read that they might be remaking it. The whole "what-if" part of history fascinates me.

Personally, I really like Christian Bale. I think he makes a great Batman, and is the best out of all the actors to play him. And your comment about "real" comic books is kind of insulting. Even though I have no idea what the "Adventure of Tintin" is, I still think that it is a real comic book. Just because it isn't American and doesn't have a normal superhero doesn't make it any less of a comic book.

Two things. First, your brickshelf folder is not public. Second, I would chose a picture that showed the whole MOC, not just a part, to post.

While I have always considered renting SG-1, I have just never gotten around to it. While this looks interesting, I probably won't watch it simply because I have never seen any of the other series. I did see the movie however, and that was really good.

I am really excited about all of these comic-book movies. After what they have done with the Nolan Batman series, Iron Man, and Spiderman, I am really excited about these upcoming movies. Although I don't read the comics, I love the movies because you don't have to read the comics to understand what is going on. My only complaint is that looking at the Justice League rumored actors list, I noticed that Batman was not Christian Bale. Although Nolan's Batman universe is more realistic and probably doesn't have real superheroes and in turn wouldn't be in the Justice League, Bale makes a great Batman.

While in my opinion the mini sets were overall a poor idea, Lego did do a fairly good job making them detailed and movie accurate.

Very nice, simple design. While I love the intricate and detailed castles that a lot of people do, I love these simply, almost Classic-Castle ones as well.
-
The only one we have is from 8-9 years ago. It would be nice to get a new one. And while he wasn't in the scene, that isn't going to stop Lego. Look at the new Hoth set. Han was never on his Tuantaun during the Battle of Hoth. But, the set was a great opportunity to get one out there, and has probably increased the sales of that set.

There were definitely more than 5 rebels. There were at least 20-25. Rebels would sell a lot better than ewoks.
-
True. While their production costs may not be increasing a lot (but maybe a little), as the demand goes up, the price is going to go up.
-
Great job with those pine trees. I have never seen that technique before, and they really do look very authentic.
-
I never really got into Monty Python. I tried watching the Holy Grail, and honestly found it painful. I can see why other people appreciate it and find it funny, but just didn't like the humor.
-
I am not stating you are a communist. I am just saying that price increases are a fair thing that companies have a right to do and don't necessarily owe everyone an explanation. That isn't a price announcement, that is a marketing ploy to get people to shop there.
-
Not sure what percents, but I am British, Irish, Scottish, Czech, and German. And probably some other stuff.

Wow. I love the B-Wing and Y-Wing. I cannot believe all of those are MOC's. I would try adding a little more detail to the X-Wing, but all of them look really good for being customs.
-
They are telling you. By increasing the price and listing the new one. Grocery stores don't make a big announcement when milk goes up. Best Buy doesn't make a big banner when TV's go up. If they make a big announcement, no one is going to buy from them. They are hoping that people won't notice and will continue to buy. In a capitalist, free-trade economy, that's how it works.
-
No offense, but I hate when people rant and rave about price increases. With an increase in production cost comes an increase in the price of the item. Lego can't maintain the same prices forever.
-
Very cool. I really love all of your Alphabet ships. The amount of detail is quite amazing.
-
It really is too bad that LDD doesn't have more options when it comes to minifigures. It would be fun to be able to create more detailed custom figures. Still, good job considering what you have to work with.
-
Very nice castle. Even unfinished it is a great castle. If I were you, I would save it for the future, just in case you can finish it someday.

After reading the Topics you have started, I have to say that most of them are pointless. When 3 out of your first 7 have been closed almost immediately for being pointless, you obviously aren't posting very relevant stuff. Instead of posting simply and short replies, try to elaborate on stuff.

I disagree with what you have said as well. I think that we can have tons of fun even if the moderators are a little strict. I hate that people are lazy in their postings and don't use proper grammar.
