  1. You have never seem Toy Story. You must be some kind of Communist. Just kidding. It is a great movie for kids and parents alike. You should definitely see it. Also, Cars was good, but not great. Both are Disney-Pixar movies, which are always really good. Prince of Persia comes out next year, and is based on the video game. I agree that the themes should be movie, not theme park, oriented. I would much rather buy a set based off of Pirates of the Caribbean than the monorail at Disney World.
  2. I played Star Craft, and while it was a fun game, I have found that RTS games aren't that fun. The story was fun for the Terran's, but the Zerg and Protos stories weren't that engaging. Part of the turn-off is that fact that the graphics are so outdated. Oh, and you do know that they have split it into three games now, each focusing on one race. They found that the game became too big.
  3. Knights Kingdom finally got to be a decent theme when they started this group of sets. It became less about the same four knights, a king, and a bad guy, and included more variety and armies. The sets became more than just one or two knights against a scorpion soldier in every set. The Defending the Pass set is a great example. It includes a decent amount of soldiers and has a lot of playability. With this group, you could get every set and have more than 6 different figures.
  4. It won't fit going backwards. It runs into the mechanism that connects the two.
  5. They should not only do these just-figure ones, but also some like SW and had a small building or siege weapon.
  6. It's nice that Lego has expanded the BP idea into all four factions, not just knights and skeletons.
  7. I think that the fact that Star Wars has so many diverse characters and therefore so many diverse figures draws people to collect the minifigs as well as the sets. Most themes have 15-20 different figures. Star Wars has over 100.
  8. The Darth Vader helmet has been the same since the beginning of the theme. Of course they wouldn't release a set based off a movie that didn't exist. That's why this set didn't come out until after the movie.
  9. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but that Cloud Car isn't a MOC. It was a set about 5 years ago. It was red. The Cloud Cars are red, not orange. That's how the set came.
  10. Pretty good job with the general idea, but your middle section is way too tall. The Falcon is a pretty flat ship, and yours kind of has a big hump in the middle. I would work on the cockpit a little bit too so that other people can fit.
  11. I like all three. All of them have their respected pros and cons.
  12. I understand now. I think that sensor is amazing. It would be impossible to find anybody in that snow-storm without it. You would stumble upon people and get killed all the time. Thanks for clarifying with the Laptops. I didn't find any the first time through the game, and I have only found two after playing a couple missions again. I don't use cheats, so I probably won't put a lot of effort into them.
  13. Yes, but the Marines in Iraq are on the front line and need to wear full gear. The Black Ops kind of stuff doesn't require full gear. By heart beat sensor do you mean the way the screen pulses red when you are hurt? That is to tell you that you need to find cover. I really love it. It is way better than a health bar and needing to find health packs all the time. While it isn't as realistic, it means you aren't going to die a bunch and you don't have to waste your time looking for health. It is a lot better than in COD and COD: UO with the health packs. Just a quick question for those who have played COD 4. Does anybody know that the deal is with the laptop computers in each level that are "enemy intel"? Does collecting them get you anything special.?
  14. Those are really cool. I especially love the torsos.
  15. Thanks for the correction. I think the fact that it is more "commando-ish" is cool. I think that anything to deal with Special Forces like Navy Seals and Delta Force is really cool. COD 4 was kind of "commando-ish" in the fact that it was really small squads dealing with more special-ops situations as oppose to the WWII games where it was you and 10 other guys just killing Germans.
  16. While the theme sounds plausible (with a new Space theme this year), the name does not.
  17. Those dogs are really annoying. They're easy to kill as long as they don't get on top of you. After that, no matter how many times you press (V), your throat gets ripped out. I just finished the game today (including the hidden "Mile High Club") mission, and I have to say it was amazing. While it doesn't have the all-engrossing oh-my-gosh that is simply brilliant and engaging story such as games like Half-Life, the amazing graphics and gameplay make up for it. I cannot wait until Modern Warfare 2 comes out. I am just worried that I won't be able to run it. My CPU could barely handle 4.
  18. While it does include two new figures, I am not overly impressed. The ship appears to be just ok, and they once again included a jedi that we have at least ten of.
  19. Modern Warfare 2 looks to be amazing. The snowmobile sequence that they have released looks really cool. Also, it appears that there are parts in Africa dealing with Warlords there, which is pretty sweet. I think COD 4 really brought the series into the mainstream. While 1 and 2 were popular, 4 was simply amazing and sold like crazy. Part of it I think was the modern setting and part of it was the multiplayer aspect that the previous ones didn't really have.
  20. Very nice. These are probably some of the best movies ever.
  21. So, this is really a general topic about all of the Call of Duty games, both core games and expansions and spin-offs. Personally, these are the best FPS's I have ever played (next to Half-Life 2). The gameplay is both fun and efficient, with challenging missions that aren't too complicated. The graphics are really well done, and the AI characters are generally smart enough to make the game fun. Unlike a lot of shooters where it is a one-man game, your squad does a lot to help you, especially as the series has progressed. Also, they did a good job changing each version so they weren't so repetitive. Also, the story moves the game along while not making it essential to the whole game. Here is my review of the ones I have played. Call of Duty: Great game. The gameplay is really well designed, and for the time it game out the graphics are great. Really good portrayal of WWII. The only bad thing is the health bar. Call of Duty: United Offensive: Great expansion. They did a great job adding a whole new story and setting as well as adding a few new features to add variety. Call of Duty 2: Even better than the first. The graphics improved a lot as well as the AI characters. I love how they got rid of the health bar. Also, the story was made even better. COD 3: I have only played it on the Wii, and it was pretty bad. In general, the Wii has poor graphics, and playing a COD game on it doesn't work. The controls were hard and the story was pretty poor. I only played one level before calling it quits. COD 4: WOW! Probably one of the best games I have ever played. The graphics are amazing, and the story is a lot more engaging and creative. The modern take on it has made the game a lot more fun with better weapons and an overall new experience. Infinity Ward developed COD, COD 2, and COD 4, and I have found that these are the best games in the series. I have not played COD 5 or a few other expansions, but I have heard that 5 was just ok and the others weren't that great. 3 was developed by another company, and it was pretty bad. Overall, these are really great games. They are great simulations of war, and the graphics, gameplay, and story are always great and getting better. They aren't overly graphic, and honestly I cannot understand why COD 4 was rated M. If you turn the blood off, it is just like the previous games, except with a little bit of language. Still, probably the fact that it is so much more realistic and modern got it the higher rating. I cannot wait until Modern Warfare 2. I am just worried that my PC won't be able to run it.
  22. But they don't test the hollywood versions. They test the actual warriors and their weapons. Two major gripes I have are the fact that they don't take training and skill into account, and the doctor is a total fraud. If a person has half their skull cut/shot off, I can tell you that they are dead. Still, it is a great show.
  23. The new Luke is pretty impressive. I really like the amount of detail on the torso. I am glad they decided to create a new and unique figure to include that we probably wouldn't have a chance to get otherwise.
  24. While I agree that topics should be given a chance to pan out before they are closed, I think that Moderators deserve full discretion. If they feel a topic should be closed, I am not going to question their judgement. They have achieved their position for a reason, and they deserve to be able to close which topics they feel they should.
  25. First off, you are about 3 months late with this news. Second, I hope that these sets turn out well and aren't cartoony and too kiddy.
