For the record, if Dyric were conscious right now he'd note that Arthur seemed to come to his senses after Wren knocked him out. Speaking of which, if Arthur dies this battle, does that mean redemption equals death?

Heroica RPG - Quest #53: Chaos in Eubric
The Legonater replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Don't... waste an essence on me. I groan loudly. Save Felton, Hans, Mallelio - someone who can do more than I can. -
I'll be saddened if we can't save Felton, Hans and McColt - both as a PC, and as Dyric. Such is life, I guess.

*Breath* Oi. I just went through a several-hour-long session of rereading through the Dastan trilogy, partially as a refresher of Wren's actions during the show, partially just because it was such a great trilogy - and it really was. Major props again to you guys who ran it. It's by far one of the most brilliant things pulled in Heroica, and I wouldn't mind seeing something on that scale again. It would take a lot of work, of course, but I think it would be lot of fun for the QM's and the questies. ...Maybe not so much for the QM's.

My advantage is in the back row, it would make no sense for me to attack Wren this round and become enraged. I fire an arrow at Beast P from the back. -

Hearing Hoke's shouts and Skrall's orders, I grin. Wren, you're going to regret messing with us. If you survive, that is. Wren. Back row. Bow and arrow. To the temple. Not the knee. -

I agree heartily. Beast P, back row, bow -
That's definitely an issue. This isn't Star Wars, where it's all part of one linear storyline. LotR and the Hobbit are different stories, even if they are in the same continuity. They have entirely different moods, plotlines, and take place in different parts of Middle-Earth. Comparing them is a dumb idea.

Actually, JJ Abrams is a large SW Fanboy, and I believe he's said multiple times he's read the SW Novels. Maybe I'm just biased as a guy who's read through a lot of and really enjoys the EU, but I don't think it's totally fair to say that all EU is horrible, because it isn't. Some of it is, I'll admit - I nearly gave up through FotJ (though the end picked up) and I'm having a tough time slogging through NJO - but there's a lot of good stuff in there. Zahn's work is genius, Traviss' series raises a lot of cool and interesting questions most authors wouldn't touch, and Allstan's work has a general good, light-hearted feel of the original trilogy. That said, do I expect them to 100% follow canon? Not in the slightest. There's just too much there for that to work. I do, however, hope that they at least give some subtle nods towards the EU, and perhaps frame it in a way that it doesn't just destroy everything. There's a big chunk of time between RotJ and the surrender of the Empire, almost 20 years. That's plenty of time to find space for the trilogy. And this is before characters like Chewie die.

Thanks. The past couple quests (34 and 53) have really helped me develop him as a character, and build a strong(er?) foundation of beliefs, as opposed to say, the beginning of Quest 19, where he was basically an angsty exile. To be honest, I looked back and tried to read Quest 19 a while ago, and nearly quit just because of how annoying I found Dyric . Needless to say, Dyric is a lot more fun to play as of late, and I'm looking forward to seeing where he goes after killing Wren.

I figured it out. Zeph is the Joss Whedon of the Heroica verse. Ditto for Dyric. Despite his ties with Duplovia (or, perhaps because of them) he'd realize that limitation is a lot safer than free reign. Besides, Dyric is big on order and justice, which is one of the reasons why playing him through the Wren quests is such fun.

Then let give her something to regret, eh? I fire at Beast N from the back -
Not sure if blowing up the party to gain an advantage counts as breaking the system or just being insane.

So we're all murdering Wren now? I still think I'd be better use assassinating, but oh well. Hey Wren! Here's from The Royal Retainer of the Banished! Catchy title, isn't it? Your buddy Regret gave it to me. Fun guy. I'm here to remember - to retain - all of the good people you've killed in the past few days, and beyond. That's a lot of names. So I hope you don't mind if I dispense with the pleasantries you peasant, because there ain't no politics here. Just good old fashioned revenge. I fire a bolt at her point-black range. From the back row. -
LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion

I don't have a Blu-Ray, and either way I'd hold off. It's a cool figure, but I intend to get the three-piece extended edition box set when it comes out.- 7,499 replies

Now I'm starting to seriously think about using LDraw and POV-Ray, where it not for that render time.

My lavender is just to the left of white, whereas light grey is just on top of it. It's one of the main reasons I've just started bolding and italicizing full sections of battle actions instead of picking apart certain words. Its just way easier.

I can turn text into light grey fine with chrome. My only issue is when using bolds or italics, it had a tendency to jump to the beginning of the bold/italic if you hit the back button.
