  1. That's beautiful! Great detail and execution throughout, and those chrome gold pieces really make it pop.
  2. Very nice! A lovely shape with everything nicely integrated, and I like the small vehicle as well that is stowed in the cargo space. It does feel like the wings should rotate forward or something as well, but I think that just goes to show what a dynamic feel you've captured. Great use of those blue slopes for the main body, too. Great build!
  3. Well, if you get more clever with the plates under the Technic beams you can just use a half-pin with stud (part #4274). You'd have to have a tile (or empty space) under the pin hole that you want to put the pin in so the stud from the plate under the beam doesn't prevent the pin from being fully inserted. Should be doable.
  4. Nice! Good choice on the geometry. Should be interesting to see the resulting layout using some of these.
  5. Welcome to EB, Sébastien! Glad you've found that passing again and are enjoying yourself building with the kids. Happy building!
  6. @sirslayer Shouldn't be hijacking someone's topic... but yes, they could fill up a free Flickr account in a day, and some people who are active posters here have been on Flickr for 10 years and still haven't hit the 1,000 photo limit. I was giving a a simple example of why there doesn't need to be anxiety about the 1K picture limit for a free account for most average users. As for photo resolution and file size, if you don't understand how things like bit-depth, ISO, etc., affect RAW image file sizes, don't offer to "help" others with understanding. By way of explicit example since you don't seem to understand or believe that these things are variable, take a look at this review of a current 24.2 megapixel Canon DSLR camera and scroll down to the "File Size and Media" section. The table there has a great comparison of RAW file sizes with different cameras at different megapixel resolutions are different ISOs, and the largest RAW file any of the 24MP cameras produce at any ISO setting is 51.5MB (which is about 1/4 of the 192MB size you noted, though that is indeed the theoretical size based on simple math): https://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EOS-Rebel-SL2.aspx
  7. Well... that's not really correct because of file types, compression, bit depth per pixel, etc., but what is correct is that the size of each images doesn't really matter unless there is some arbitrary limit placed upon that (like the one here on EB due to the intended use). Flickr will work fine for you for a good long while unless you'll be very frequently posting images and many at a time. Let's say you made 1 MOC a week that you wanted to show, and had 4 good pictures of each - you'd still need 5 years to hit the 1,000 picture limit on Flickr (and then you'd just need to upgrade to their Pro plan that is only $4/month and has unlimited storage). And yes, Flickr has an app if you want to use it that way. Don't let the very minor technical considerations get in the way of fun building and sharing!
  8. Welcome to EB, Benbkab! The paperclip/upload option on Eurobricks that you're talking about is only for very small images to be used in your signature line here on the board. You only get 100K total, so even 1 regular image pushed you over the limit of available space. For sharing photos of MOCs, etc., you'll want to use a 3rd party service and I think most folks would recommend Flickr, if not using a Lego-focussed image hosting service ( like Bricksafe as M_longer mentioned). Here's a tutorial on linking/embedding Flickr images in your posts: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/97921-flickr-tutorial/
  9. Welcome to EB, Aurore! Castle + Science sounds like a great combo to me. Happy building!
  10. That is lovely! Yes, the Disney bit would have probably helped overall appeal since you'd have that 2nd-level draw to it, but it's still a great build. I would definitely add some minifigs. Maybe 18th or 19th century styled, and perhaps a family carriage/vehicle of some type.
  11. I think the current process makes more sense. As Robert8 said, TLG would have to review all submissions first which would be an enormous waste of their time... especially if you're suggesting they do enough review to ensure that the winning submission in that pre-selected group was viable for sale. I think the process for that evaluation is much more extensive than you're assuming. The first filter being the public and the creator's own promotion skills makes more sense. That being said, I think if they added in 1 more option to the mix similar to what they did for the 10th Anniversary special vote, it might even out some of the perceived challenges you're talking about. If I were to change the process somehow, what I'd do is have a runner-up kind of review where maybe the TLG team looks at sets that were above, say, 5-7,000 votes and up. That is, the team privately takes a look at everything in that range that expired since the last period (which wouldn't be all that many to deal with but were still clearly ideas that had some public interest), does a quick scrub through them, and then does a basic evaluation on just a couple of those to put into a pool for a vote like the special one they just did... maybe even to move the set into the new full-review phase if not made into a set directly. I mean, what really is the difference in viability between a set that unfortunately topped out at 9400 votes vs one that got to 10001? Sucks for those people to be excluded entirely when they came close, so addressing that I think would be better than trying to dig through that thousands of garbage submissions to find the few that the TLG designers like.
  12. Welcome to EB, Nathan! Happy building!
  13. Unpleasant subject matter with that eco disaster... but you've done a great job of capturing it! The platform itself looks great, but my favorite bit has to be that ship - great parts usage on the hull in particular!
  14. What a blast from the past! I wish they had spend more time in the 1993 video on the castle area, but that Model Team display was cool, and that little train layout at the end was cute!
  15. Welcome to EB, Daniel! Looking forward to seeing your first GBC module soon. Happy building!
  16. What a lovely beach! Nicely built overall, you've got just enough depth on those pipes to make them feel right, and I like the variation of color in the water, too.
  17. They look great and function well - can't ask for much more than that. Great build!
  18. Any updates on this space? Still love the huge trough of Lego along the whole wall.
  19. They should just calm down and exchange insurance info.
  20. Nice build. I like the way you've done the small windows, and the connection method for the capes on the windmill blades is interesting!
  21. Delightful! I think you've captured his hair especially well.
  22. Looks wonderful. Lovely color scheme, and the fractional plate offsets at the top of the boiler are beautiful. Great use of those classic windows, too!
  23. Welcome to EB, Antha! Looking forward to seeing some of your plant-based creations here. Happy building!
  24. That is lovely! A nice concept and well-executed. The small bud with a regular brick is a nice touch.
  25. I don't think I've ever seen a telehandler with more than 4 wheels, but this does look more interesting than Lego's basic version (42061) from some years back. Is there a reason why you went with 8 wheels? Just trying to use a lot of the components since it's a C model? If so, consider going with a detailed 4-wheel telehandler and maybe use some of the remaining part count to build a rack and some pallets (maybe with the rest of the wheels as cargo) for the machine to manipulate.
