And now it is back at 179.99 € in France
-
Thanks. It is not the first time that such difference occur. The modular fire brigade was 20 € cheaper in Belgium than in France (but then it was OK for me ) Here 40 € is a lot
-
On the French site it is now at 139,99 € For the other euro countries it seems to be still at 179,99 € I'll wait a little in case they decrease the price for Belgium too

The basic grey plate is sold since more years but I suppose that: - it does not count as a set (being just a plate, despite it has a set reference) - its reference changed from time to time So it is one of the oldest set which had the longest life. It seems that nowadays the sets are not for sale for so long. It seemed that in the 80s/90s the sets stayed more than 2 years. Or is it just because when I was kid "2 years" was a very long time, but now the years seem to go so fast?

Nicely done, good idea to make all these units in Lego
-
I really liked that set too. I am happy that I had it I got it in second half of 80s, maybe the last year it was sold (or maybe it wasn't even in catalog anymore, I guess my parents found it in old stocks of a shop) I used the parts of that set a lot. I like these white arches, the small rollup roof, and the base plate! When I got the Octan station in the 90s, that plate was useful for the exit of the carwash, like what I did there: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2911444 (I got that plate with plain path much later, after the "dark age"; when I was kid I only had the cobblestone one) Actually the lower left and top of the three smalls is an alternative model.

The Unofficial LEGO Collectors Guide RAFFLE
antp replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree, it could look great. The second one do not seem very appealing to me. But if there was some border around the photos to make it more elaborated than just photos pasted on black background, it would probably be better ;) -
I was hoping a full list, to know which place I reached starting from the end
-
Nice work, that street looks really good :)

Me too, that truck is so good-looking. At least it is probably the most expesive amongst the few rare/old sets that I'd like to have. -
Nice work

I wish I had the same idea (I wonder why I didn't think of it?)

Thanks Good luck to you too Only 14 spots actually: the ground level has only two (space used for entrance & payment terminal) At first I wanted to use http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2046 for the stairs, but it is difficult to fit in a tiny space and I only had two of these (one yellow and one pink).

nice pictures, cute cat
-
Thanks :) It is indeed listed as a Technic spoiler: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=61073 I know it as a wheel arch from set 7726
-
What do you mean? How I made it? I used wheels turned by 90° to run vertically along old 80s 12V rails; at the top a pulley (not visible on the pics indeed) and a windlass (well visible on the roof picture); between the two there is a simple thread (an official Lego one!) The wheels are: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6157 + http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30027ac01

B-OM-29B Hello, This is my first participation in a contest here. Seeing the high quality of other entries, I do it just for fun I wanted to make a multi-level parking lot with ramps between the levels. When the contest was launched, I thought it would be a good way to join it. Due to the contest rules, I had to use a 32x32 basis*, which is a little small for such building. I had to replace the ramps by an elevator. Actually I used this 16x16 plate: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30225 + a standard 16x16 and a 16x32, all grouped together for a total of 32x32. That special 16x16 plate looked better for the entrance. I used a similar style on my previous MOC. I was a little disappointed when I discovered another parking lot posted before mine, but quite different in style. That one is in category 2, I hope that mine is right in category 3 (as it has a size closer to the entries of that category, I thought it would be better). I swear that I didn't take any idea from that other one: the big white-on-blue "P" was already made long before that. Coming back to mine. Here is a view of the roof from the rear: The windlass has a large wheel allows to easily operate the elevator manually (but it could be easily removed for a more realistic look). The red small axle is there to block the elevator at a level. It's modular! Better view of the elevator, which has wheels for a smooth move along the rails: Paying at the ground level: Thanks for your visit! edit: for pictures see https://antp.be/lego/moc/parking-tower.php as MOCpage has died.

Thanks for that :) Some time ago I found your pictures and recreated it with the parts of two trucks: But I didn't make them symmetrical: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5482861 Not enough stickers in the two truck sets, I found that having the same handle+gauge at both side looked strange, And I didn't have enough ladders

Why are there spare parts in the sets?

Wow nice rallye sets I never saw these, I guess that we didn't had these in Europe
